- In every success story, sometimes the ‘no’s’ become more than the ‘yes’. It is often because of the company values and not because the project is not worth it. This is the story of Horacio Pagani. How did he go from being rejected by luxury automobile brands like Lamborghini and Ferrari to becoming one of the richest persons in the automotive industry to have a billion-dollar company?
I was today years old when I learned that the Countach is actually a Pagani design. Life never ceases to amaze me sometimes.
Però non la prima versione della Countach .
Misinformation, it was designed by Bertone decades before. He made the 25th anniversary body kit which is, let’s be real the ugliest version of it by far
Horacio has never been good at making cars. They always look ugly asf@@Journey_Awaits
This man is from my country Argentina and is truly an inspiration to us Argentinians!!!!
Lamborghini created because Ferrari rejected him.
Pagani created because Lamborghini and Ferrari rejected him.
I’m going to be next since all 3 rejected me too.
yeah it’s actually like that konesgess however u spell it like rejected by all 3😭
So what's the name
I mean Lamborghini was already made

That's the spirit! 🫡
"She was living with Horacio in a tent in Bolognia". She is a keeper
How did he make the jump from janitor to engineer? Companies don’t offer engineering jobs based on how good a floor is polished. Something is missing in this story.
There's always something missing from a story, if it's being told by a third party
@@Sedrickano good point.
However, it’s kinda annoying when critical details are left out. It almost felt like it was deliberately left out to push a “rags to riches” narrative.

I used to work for a big oil servicing company as an Engineer before the 2008 recession, I lost my job but got a job as a cleaner cos I had mouths to feed. One night while cleaning I bumped into the CEO working late. After a 5 mins chat he was shocked to find out I had a masters degree. Hired me on the spot on contact basis.....that's how my story changed
I suggest you have an open mind
@@Lingerie_Models_Productions I presume his story has some similarities. But why leave all that out? It felt deliberate to me. If the producers had included that part, how he went from point A to point B and then back to A, it would have been a more honest story. To me. Just my 2 cents. My opinion. But then it wouldn’t jive w a rags to riches story, I think.
I truly love how he was driven by his own dreams. When you can quit your job as a chief engineer at Lamborghini to pursue your own dreams it says a lot about how dedicated you are to yourself and your own goals.
It's crazy how the Lamborghini founder couldn't see himself in Pagani
He had the same ego that got him rejected from Ferrari
Ferrari made a good choice rejecting him. He wasn't any different
Enzo Ferrari's ego suited him after all he had tasted so much success in racing cars, Ferruccio Lamborghini was a farmer who was trying his luck at supercars.
these are the type of unique stories that truly illustrate the unique-ness of of both the cars and their evolution
Interesting, but Marcello Gandini designed the Countach. Pagini was part of the team that worked on the Countach Evoluzione, which was a test bed for a variety of design ideas.
If u look at an interview with Horacio he said when he went to Italy he had some connections as he knew the legend J.M. Fangio personally & he gave him a recommendation letter … u always need some connections to break in
facts!!!
I d like to share that, on my MBA ( Bologna business school) classroom we are going to study the business case of Pagani Automobili. Pagani is unique example, on automotive panorama, similar to Koenigsegg.
Pagani makes art ❤
As an Argentine myself already acquainted with his life story, there are huge milestones left aside. He became known to Oreste Berta, the best racing car mechanic at the time in Argentina also working for Renault racing team, and was introduced to F2 chassis and engine building. Through Oreste Berta he meets 5 times F1 world champion Juan Manuel Fangio, also Argentine, whom will hand him out many recommendation letters so that Pagani could find a job in the European supercar industry. Rejected from many of them even with these letters, he worked in a small factory as a welder, commuting on a bike and living in a tent, but in his uncle´s back yard. Shortly after he was called from his least desireable car company in mind, Lamborghini. He didnt create the Countach; he was the head desinger of the 25th Anniversary modifications. By the time he entered Lamborghini, Ferrucio Lamborghini had left the company 9 years ago. I see there are a few Fangio photos and also even one of Berta, with absolute disregard of who he was and how he helped Pagani. Do more reseach please.
I want to create cars man.
Thats an inspiring story
Talk about a dream come true. Gracias Pagani, tus carros son impresionantes. Saludos desde Canada..
Your videos connect me with successful entrepreneurs all the time. Keep the good work.
So according to history, disagreeing with the Italian titans is the way to go
What is even more impressive than him is his wife. She stuck with him when they moved to a different country and living in a tent. No job or money she stuck by his side.
So glad he made this car ! An unfortunately sad that at one point Lamborghini let go of such a great designer over a difference of opinion.
I am very lucky to meet mr. Horacio irl. He got me an autograph signed. He is a very nice person
Excellent! Every boy's dream, this man made real. Couldn't be happier for the man. On my budget I'm happy with poor man's supercars: an '88 Fiero GT; '93 Probe GT; and '93 Stealth R/T.
Thank you for making this informative video for us ❤
Excellent motivation true story...superb hardworking & dedication Mr. Pagani
Persistence after rejection can become immensely successful
The should've kept him mopping the floors now they have competition 😂 But kidding aside, I salute Pagani for making his dreams a reality. Not many can achieve that. 👍
La historia de Horacio Pagani no comienza ni en Lamborghini ni en Ferrari , comienza mucho antes donde se nutrio de grandes creadores de autos no conocideos y entre campenoes de F1 .
Beautiful stories, I want to talk about Aston Martin
pagani is expensive but where could one find a monalisa at this rate! , true work of art
Yes, I think Lamborghini was wrong to reject pagani’s idea 💡.
And introducing: the pagani Zonda: C12
You are different
Financial peace isn’t the acquisition of stuff. It’s learning to live on less than you make, so you can give money back and have money to invest. You can’t win until you do this.” ~ Dave Ramsey
Lamborghini hated the gearbox of his ferrari. He asked enzo to make a change and customize his gearbox. As enzo refused and was upset that a tractor builder critivised his car.. laborghini decided to build his own cars.
Haracio did not design countach. Marcelo Gandini did. That was in early 70s when Mr Pagani was still in Argentina
I think and not sure, pagani designed the countach 25 anniversary
Not the first edition
@@mauroa.bermudez7628 he did not
When you talk about Ferrari and Lamborghini, those names are already established by their former owners AND no one is bigger than the brand name itself. Hence why Pagani ventured on his own.
Italian exotic car design is an art with these 3 names to include Pininfarina.
Love the line when Ken Miles(Christian Bale) on the start at LeMans and is next to his GT40 and a Ferrari crew is pushing a Ferrari 330 P4(P3???) by and his response was "Well, we just lost the beauty pageant award"......it was true then(IF he said that in real life) and it's true today.
German and Swiss exotic car design is all about engineering function.
pagani is an artist.
Do a video about hyundai
O değil de bu saatçi Jacob çok enteresan bir adam.
I’m just gonna say it, Horacio Pagani is a very handsome man.
I want that you can make the real story on Harley Davidson..!?
ow come on those carbon fiber glistening on the sun.. The manny khosbin huayra 1 of 1 is the best😍
Listening to the narrators pronunciation of Spanish and Italian words is grating.
Dude the Title's wrong! :")
And still is there very clever people with unique designs of cars on this planet but don't have the opportunity to prove himself or big companies like Ferrari, Lamborghini etc won't give him the chance to prove his talent.
Can you make a video about Koenigsegg?
He was a engineer before a janitor
A Pagani Zonda resides in my imaginary garage
He is still alive
Do a cover story on Keognisegg
Great suggestion! Thank you for stopping by.
You should also cover the history of Dodge motors.
So its like this:
Lamborghini was created out of insult by Ferrari
And Pagani was invented after getting rejected by Lamborghini and Ferrari
One day im going to build my own car company
pagani is the goat of all
He was not a janitor, he was a designer bruh
Engine gearbox all running gear electrical is from Mercedes-Benz V12 AMG
ARGETINA EN LA CASA PAPAA 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
Is there any story which is rejected by farrari Lamborghini and pagani
In reality the Countach is pretty much the model that all of the modern vehicles are designed after. So technically that whole line of cars was his legacy.
How?
Just imagine, a normal peasant dreams of just eating 3x a day.
Pagani dreamt of making supercars. Lol. Luxury vs necessity. But he achieved it!
Kind of fishy how his Italian father landed up in Argentina after wwii. Hmmmmm
I clicked on this video to point out the misspelling of Lamborghini in the title. It's not Lamborhini.
I'd be upset if I got rejected by Lamborhini too
Lamb Ferr Pagani Sonda
Even my toyota hss a carbon fiber part
The story is only partially accurate. True that his proposal for purchasing an autoclave was rejected, and he bought it by his own, but he didn’t design the Countach. The Countach has been designed by Marcello Gandini, head of design at Bertone Design in Turin. Gandini also designed the Miura and other iconic Lamborghini cars, up to the Diablo.
I think and I'm not sure, pagani designed the Contach, 25 anniversary.
10:06 Completing what? ;)
After his graduation... These types of story theres missing important information because it isnt good from the story point of view. This video doesnt say what was his degree. It was a industrial designer or something like that. If it was said it would change the story less dramatic. "They hire a janitor" would not sound so amazing if his degree has mentioned
i get rejected from each job i aplicate but i coud create a new company eighter supercar.
Imagine he is hired in Lamborghini we can see ZONDIABLO now!
I never heard of him untill this video.
It's a very low volume production company, It's understandable why
😊.🎉😊🎉😊😮
lamborghini
Nurembring?
Modena is pronounced MOdena, not moDENa. Lyra is pronounced "leera", not "lighra".
Wrong story. Fangio open the door for him
It was God's plan if Lambo didn't reject him maybe there is no pagani Cars
This video has tons of things historically inaccurate.
Pagani who?
