Nah they just have opposite personalities. Neither of them will say something just to disagree with the other.. it just comes naturally

It's just a hobby for him anyway
Prolly woulda been all like “buwahhh if you are going to wake me up there should at least be ice cream … or drink”
Nothing, he would have been chillin somewhere else
He would just walk.
Fernando's point is a good one. If F1 think it's so great, then they're basically saying they prefer the American fans to every other country
That is exactly my point. There would be a lot fewer people complaining if F1 made the same effort with marketing in other countries. But I have the feeling that the other tracks are taken for granted. Especially in Europe.
There are market realities. That's a nice way of saying, from the premier league to Wimbledon, the US and Chinese markets are the most sought-after.
Part of it is they’re still trying to build a fan base in the US. While F1 has grown F1’s popularity is minuscule compared to any of the major pro sports, college sports (which is very regional), or NASCAR. What they don’t realize is all the celebrity nonsense they add in Miami does nothing for the American fans who already enjoy F1 and doesn’t bring in new fans NOT at the race.
I hope they don't start to introduce such travesty into other GPs. We are here for racing, not circus.
@@Photatum I don't think they should do the same everywhere as in the US. What I meant was that they should at least put the same effort into the other countries as they do in the US...
Why are all US sports events over-shadowed by the showbiz parts that don't add to the sport itself?
(Look at the Superbowl - the half-time show gets more time than during the season and as much reporting as the game.)
Yanks are all about the fanfare. It's an infection
Because money. The Super Bowl is watched by over 100 million people. The halftime show matters A LOT to the NFL as a business.
It allows them to charge $3,500 for the cheapest ticket.
Because American is a business and the superb bowl is the most watched commercial of all time.
Well the Super Bowl is different
Vegas gonna have all the drivers introduced like they in the main event of WrestleMania
From fake marinas to a cringe worthy drivers parade.... Welcome to the Miami GP
But Loowis liked the attention =')
That should be the intro rsther than what we actually got😂
Miami was just a teaser for LV.
Also normally I support Lewis as a driver but man his appetite for attention never ends.
Imagine the Vegas GP 😂
As a resident of Miami, it fits. A lot fakes/fraud and nonsense happening here.
As an American I was embarrassed by it. Even worse is the drive to the podium.
I'm honestly imagining Max riding to the podium and just thinking "fuck i wish I broke the driveshaft again"
As an American I feel the same way!
Yes, they gave the worst of what we had and tried to glamorize it
Completely agree. This reflects badly on the vast majority of Americans. This was an embarrassment. As is the Miami "course" itself.
The worst was still last year when the 3 drivers had to step out onto the podium wearing football helmets.
My biggest issue with it was that it was most likely the first time LL Cool J said their names in his life.
He did pretty well. Whose name did he fuck up?
@@Parker-- I never said he fucked up anyone's name.
@@TangoNevada Then why would it matter to the presentation?
@@Parker-- I already said why.
@@TangoNevada Then it is a meritless complaint. Would you rather he stumbled threw it but had stumbled through their names before and stumbled through their names again on air or said their names correctly the first time on air?
Max Verstappen said this was "not necessary" and I can wholeheartedly agree with him.

@@jimbojqmbo I am afraid you are spot on correct
Oh no, I hadn't thought of that!
My biggest problem with it, was that the most respected F1 commentator anywhere in the world, AND a 3 time F1 world champion, weren't allowed inside that area. But tennis players, rappers and actors were welcomed with open arms. The day Sir Jackie Stewart gets man handled for being anywhere on the F1 grid is a day when we know they've all lost the fucking plot!
Oh and it was generally a terrible idea in itself anyway!

@broncobalboa8730 yep almost exactly the same as me. My earliest memory is Senna dying when I was 4. The new owners have pulled a lot of new fans into the sport with stuff like drive to survive. But it seems to be at the expense of the existing fan base.

Drop this GP immediately. America has no right to have 3 GP's.
As a Brit, I naturally feel the same, but then I think for a minute more and realise the US is a huge mini continent with 50 states the size of European countries. It has a population comparable to Europe and a market of a similar size. Except Europe has how many GPs? 10? 12?
I dunno. I suppose in a limited season where lots of nations want their own GP, having so many European ones and then now 3 US ones seems selfish. Countries such as SA and NZ surely could put on a great event, as could many others in the developing world who could really use to the leg up for their economy, does India have an event? I don't think it does, does it?
The Miami GP does seem to be a poor event, anyway. I suppose the thinking is that it hits the latin market in North America. Then again if that's the aim, why not Mexico? Mexico doesn't have one, right? What about the Caribbean? So many great locations rather than the stinker that is Miami.

NASCAR does driver intros at most races, although it's usually pretty professional intros that just let the drivers get the spot light for a few seconds before they go on pit road for pre race ceremonies

I don’t know what I laughed at more this or Lewis listening to music on the parade lap and doing gang signs and gun fingers like he’s a g 😂😂
Imagine going to a race to you know see cars but instead you get a parade 😂
That's funny, i heard it was 30 min before starting. I don't even think they do that in Monaco 😂😂
Some of the intros were hilarious, particularly Leclerc’s where LL Cool J simply announced that he competed to win last year ha ha
