I gotta be honest man, this type of stuff is BY FAR your best content; getting insights into clubs/players etc I otherwise never would have, I love it so much
@@jameswg13 This seems to take it much more seriously; Away Days is fun, no doubt, but it's Ellis and his friends going off for a weekend jaunt to have some beers and watch mediocre football and have a laugh 90% of the time. This more reminds me of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, but with football rather than food being the focus.
Should check out footy adventures he does the British leagues and focuses majority wise in Scotland on teams that are either forgotten or have no PR ect actually does a better job than the SFA of advertising scottish and Welsh leagues
I just wanted to say, awesome work Z... Nordic football overall is very underrated and isn't covered as much, as it should be. If this becomes a regular series, I'd be over the moon!
I’m a sports journalism student and I have no idea what I want to do when I graduate… then I saw this video. This is what I want to do. The best documentary I’ve ever seen… take a bow, Ze
It seems like you're built for this documentary style content. The narration, story telling and production are all on point. The Faroe islands seem to have that sense of community that the majority of the world is missing nowadays in 2023, such a beautiful and wholesome place.
It really is, went there in 2017. People in the village we lived in didnt bother locking their homes or cars. Everyone knew everyone and was layed back yet friendly.
Sat down to finally watch this over my dinner after the hells of a finals week. First words were "Where is the end of the world?" I sat here memorized for the better part of 30 minutes. What a video.
This genuinely reminds me of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain, just with soccer rather than food being the focus; the embedding into the local culture, exploring the place, and even some of the music being quite similar. That's high praise; keep this series going!
I shed a tear at the end of the video. This is what football is about, thank you for this, and I hope to see other great videos like this in the future ! Potential idea : Coupe de France is sometimes played in the carribean or in French Guiana, as a matter of fact yesterday the Guadeloupe and Martinique teams both won and are continuing onwards to the 1/32 final where the Ligue 1 clubs enter !
Holy shit dude, your speech at the end sent me into tears. I've been around for years, through all the seasons of FM, loved every moment of it. But this is the best content you've ever made. Youre a natural. At communicating, putting yourself into the situation wholeheartedly and just.. Transfering knowledge. I love this team, all from your presentation of the city and the people. Please consider doing more of this. And the camera work was incredible too. There's a gem here.
This is so good, it is genuinely on a higher level than allmost all tv productions of this type. Love the fm stuff, but this is incredibly beautiful and touching Thank you
This is some world class storytelling. I honestly can't fathom that you are rocking this level of content without a production company backing you. Well done.
I just bought FM 2024. So was binging the channel for help. Then i saw this. My god, the amount of effort, and then they way this is set up. Not as an oddities thing. But with respect and a honest search in what this club and thing is. I am so impressed, for me this is what channels as Sam Harris and stuff should be. You earned not only a sub but a real fan.
Such great, high quality content. You mentioned being jealous of the sense of community and it really does come across how it makes a massive difference. Doing things a certain way because it's the right thing to do rather than the 'best' thing.
The two man crew of Zealand and Adler 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 So proud of you two! What a beautiful story, so professionally done and so excited to see..Oh, the places you two will go! 💞 Congratulations to the Fareo Islands too, what a story!
Dear Zealand. This is pure quality and totally wholesome. I’ve always rated you high as a narrator of the fictional world but now you’ve really made the grade for me in the real world
Zealand, as your fm fan and social media fan for since I began fm. This is the kind of content that puts a smile in my face. Not because i don’t enjoy your fm videos because I LOVE THEM . But it’s because I genuinely feel another brother who loves football like we do, and i salute you that you’re bringing all these content that we aren’t able to experience ourselves but we can experience it genuinely through you and your love of football . Thank you
The camera work accompanied by those last few lines at the end made me well up with tears of joy. This really is what football is all about. I plead that both you and your brother continue to make such insightful and high quality content.
This is so much better than all the glory and glitters (and fraud) of the big clubs. Absolutely lovely video Zealand. Amazing to see the love for themselves, for eachother and for the nature surrounding them on the Islands
I loved watching the kids being encouraged. When that kid scored a goal, and 20-30 people were cheering him on, I nearly cried. I agree with your last sentiment: I wish I knew such community and support. From a really early age, my parents, my brothers and sisters, my neighbors, and my teachers all told me I would amount to nothing. I wasn't good at anything. How my life could have changed if I had even a fraction of support these people give to each other. It makes me sad.
That's sweet, but it's definitely too late. My body is broken. There was a bomb in Afghansitan, and a really big cement wall. The days of accomplishing anything are passed. Now in my 50's, with a broken body, and a mountain of debt, any hope of accomplishing anything in my life is gone. Now, all I can do is sit around, and wait for the day my broken body finally gives out on me.@@kapoukapoioskapote
I wouldn't be surprised if his kind of video documentary happens to end up on the TV one day, as someone else wrote, these kind of videos are pure gold.
Holy fucking shit that was an extremely gorgeous documentary. I really hope you do more of this kind of stuff as it really shows how good you are making brilliant content. It is criminal that this only has less than 250k views. Great job my dude!
Man o Man. I think this will win a competition for the best sports documentary. What a beautiful story and such nice cinematography from a single person crew. Really touched by the story and also felt jealous from the town. One thing for sure i am going to start to follow the nordic leagues. This is something insane from a country this small.
This is a sensational piece of work. Both interesting and entertaining. You are destined for bigger things . Wishing you all the best of luck because viewers will benefit from having you on their TV screens.
This video is so good that I am in tears at the end. I already loved Klaksvik's story to get to European competitions but seeing it like this.... Incredible work
This was REALLY well done. Anthony Bourdain would be impressed by the quality and, I believe, honored by the way in which it seems like you're continuing his tradition, substituting football for food.
Extraordinarily well done. The ending though was quite sudden as I wanted more. You should have also given yourselves some kudos with some credits at the end so those unfamiliar with your names will get to know the talents Zealand and Adler. Bang on boys!
Awsome video! I remember during covid when all football stopped, except for in the Faroe Islands. Football fans here in Norway picked their favorite team and started watching it. Funny times being a Víkingur supporter🤣
Hey Z, I am so happy right now. You re-narrated an incredible story and created a wonderful video. I have been on the Faroese Islands this summer (it wasn't that cold in August - luckily) - we wanted to go there since before the pandemic and now we finally made it. It was wonderful and your video brought back these inceredible memories. Thank you! While we were there, KI was still competing to qualify for the CL which they sadly didn't. When they qualified for the ECL instead I hoped my club (Frankfurt) would get them in group stage, so that I could return to this wonderful place. But we weren't lucky. 😞 Now I am trying to find my way out of the Faroese 4th division in FM23, still dreaming of wind, sheep and rain. My leftback even seems to be a sheep...
I dont know if this is what gets you the most views but Im sure you'll remember this experience for the rest of your life and it was a joy to watch it and learn from it, amazing job 👊
Ze, I realized watching your stream today that I hadn't checked out your Faroe islands video. I am so glad that I got to watch this. This is some of the best sports/travel content I've ever seen. I couldn't agree more-this is what soccer (or any sport for that matter) should look like. It once was like this in America with baseball (out here in Colorado there was a league for all the small mining towns in my area), and maybe one day it will be again with soccer, football, or something else. Sport as community, comradery, and family. Don't let this go to your head, but I saw a flash one day of you on TV making documentaries and being a leading voice of the game and bringing an authentic, unique worldview to the sporting world that this country (and the world at large) so desperately needs.
11:36 I can´t believe you showed the badge of faroese club BF Royn. I managed them in FM 23 (before Klaksvik qualified for ECL) and took them from the 4th faroese division to the knockout stages of the Champions League. Unfortunately they have no internet presence, so I couldn´t buy a shirt or something.
That was absolutely gorgeous, man! A fantastic little documentary. I really wanted to visit Faroe Islands before, but now I know no one will stop me from doing just that! Also, I watched both matches of Klaksvík against Slovan (since I'm Slovak) and the way they played was really impressive. Slovan might not be a big club, but I'm pretty sure anyway that any one of their players makes as much as the entire monthly wage budget of KI - and yet they were both close 2:1 wins. Hats off!
I must say Z, this is one of the best videos/stories you've ever produced. It hit me right in the feels. It also epitomises the way I feel about football/soccer. Well done man! And keep them coming 👍
Your delivery, and this is a compliment, is like Anthony Bourdain's documentaries. Only, less drugs and alcohol. Keep it up Zealand, this is some stellar content.
Been watching your content for a long while now. I don't comment a lot under any videos. But damn, it's one of the best videos I've seen in my life. No exaggeration. Shows the true feelings football gives in a perfect way. EDIT: Just changed my mind. Actually the best video. I love coming back to it every now and then
Gods, that was good. Thanks for that kind of content, I love your FM streams and videos, but that was extremely good. Stunning camera work and production, huge shoutout to all who made all of that.
This is by far my favourite video on your channel so far. And the final shot from 26:23 onwards is, at least to me, the most beautiful one in this entire video. 10/10 video for sure!
This is by far the best video that you’ve done. Not only is it interesting content; but the shots, the audio all show a great amount of passion and you should be rightly proud.
Top Video, Defo the best style of Content Zealand has produced. The FM content is good but this is something else and fair play for indulging in the culture. Keep up the good work.
I am so happy on your behalf Z. This is the type of content i think you enjoy the most to do and it's just pure class and exactly what youtube is all about in my humble opinion. I have followed you for a couple of years now, and the growth of you and your channel is inspiring. All the best from Denmark - looking forward to your next upload.
This is incredible! I always wanted to know more about Faroe Islands and their passion for football. Thank you so much for this excellent documentary! Cheers from Norway.
Everyone with a pulse would enjoy this, Ze. I hope it was successful enough for you guys to keep making more. You might call it "soccer" , but you feel football. Thank you for this.
honestly what a great video this was. id love to see alot more of these. the editing and videography is absolutely quality. keep up the good work your FM stuff is amazing but this was emotional and just down right inspiring
Zea, just, just beautiful man. You and Adler captured everthing that need to be captured and put on a beautiful tear dropping composition. Thanks, for more videos like this one with the Shannon brothers, beautiful.
Right time to do a Faroe Island save. We need more content like this mate, this is some of your best stuff! Visiting smaller clubs and talking to the fans and people in the community.
Insane quality, you could easily show this on national TV. I´m being honest and say it I´m now a Klaksvik supporter for their social media manager alone.
This is a class video Z, your FM content brought me to your channel and will always keep me engaged, but this is just different class. Keep up the great work man
10 mins in, This is one of the most beautiful football story and video. Romance in Football is so aptly captured in this video. BTW, the cinematography in this video is outstanding.
Amazing! One of the best videos I've seen on RUclips lately. The storyline paired with the camera work kept me glued in for almost 30 minutes even though I have the attention span of a Tiktok kid. Thank you Ze, that was a great watch!
This is, by far, one of the best made videos in YT history. What a beautiful place and an amazing community. I want to follow you around the world! You may not fully comprehend the impact this kind of positive content can have on people's wellbeing. Thank you Zealand and Adler!
One of your best videos ever. Captured the warmth of the people so well. Things like community really feel in short supply these days. Internet communities may be communities, and just as warm as real life ones, but they're often ephemeral, flawed and finite. This, if anything, is real.
Hey Zealand great work! Love this kind of content. I just have one suggestion: I think the thumbnail could be improved. I think you should've gone with something more "formal/documentary". That way, you would've attracted a more older/serious audience that doesn't necessarily know who you are or watch fm content. Either way, cheers! Amazing content. Please keep giving/sharing with the world these types of stories. Football is a universal language so I'm excited that you're able to convey this so easily.
I watched a lot of your vids zealand, tutorials and everything else, streams too, but i think this is one of my favs, the music, the talks, the experience, the ending speech, love it, keep up the good work
That was a absolutely beautiful video Zealand. Growing up in a small town in Portugal, I can relate to the familiarity displayed here. Made me feel thankful and overall excited to keep watching, playing and talking about football. Keep up with the good work!
Well. That felt long. Not in the sense that it was too long. In the sense of how you packed a lot into it and it was good on top of that. Lots of interesting stuff about a league and team not many of us would even think to find out more about outside of this year. Looking forward to more of whatever whets your appetite with stories like this and New York.
I gotta be honest man, this type of stuff is BY FAR your best content; getting insights into clubs/players etc I otherwise never would have, I love it so much
You ever seen away days as well

Absolutly loved this.
This content deserves a show on Netflix. This production is amazing!
They would do well I'm sure.
Ze, the storytelling, the production, the camera work, all of it is stunning. Please keep making these!
What he said. Loved every second.

Absolutely. Especially keeping the focus sharply on the setting, instead of the normal football travel RUclips videos
Very alike. Even the format is similar. The brothers are learning from the best - and if they're not, well dang.
Rip Bourdain, it still hurts watching old episodes….

this video brought me to tears idk why. so emotional seeing how much football means to some and how it ties a community together. amazing vid man

Genuinely a beautiful, intelligent and insightful video man, congratulations. I enjoyed from start to finish!
This is absolutely fantastic Zealand! Most media companies can't create documentaries as grounded and emotional as this.
That was stunningly beautiful mate. Not just the country, but your video too. I absolutely adore this content.

This may be the best video I've seen on youtube. A great little mini-documentary about not just the team, but the towns, peoples, and cultures.
Top Video, Defo the best style of Content Zealand has produced. The FM content is good but this is something else and fair play for indulging in the culture. Keep up the good work.
I love these videos Zealand, they are so emotional, its like you are there and gives you goosebumps
Amazing presentation. It had almost an “Anthony Bourdane” feel to it. By far one of the most interesting thing I’ve seen on your channel.

Zea, just, just beautiful man. You and Adler captured everthing that need to be captured and put on a beautiful tear dropping composition.
Thanks, for more videos like this one with the Shannon brothers, beautiful.
Huge respect for the Faroes, been following them since 2018
Nice
Its my home country btw
And it was my local team
Almost had me in tears, totally awesome my man, and am 71 and have seen a thing or two
this is a really incredible video. i genuinely learned a lot about a country i previously knew nothing about. really great storytelling

You know you've done well when your youtube film is broadcast ready. Congrats lads this was true exceptional.
Amazing story, and really well made. I see alot of good comments and you deserve every single one of them.
By far this is the best video from you Zealand, what a fantastic and fascinating documentary for a place with football not being known by many
Zealand....you out done yourself on this one. Best RUclips video I've seen all year, hands down. Looks like it was professionally done.
I shead a tear. We as species cannot survive on our own. Community is what makes us stronger and this community you showed us looks very special.
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours and I just want to thank you for making such good content.
Well that was just a fantastic video. Well done, Z and the team. Really great job on this one!
10 mins in, This is one of the most beautiful football story and video. Romance in Football is so aptly captured in this video.
BTW, the cinematography in this video is outstanding.
This video was Beautifully made. professional grade editing, Looks like a documentary on netflix. Good job Zealand 👍
Amazing content, high production values and quality B-roll. Very impressive!
Dude, this was an awesome watch.
I can imagine a lot of new FM saves now to get Faroe teams to champions league glory
Love this style of content. Could literally be a great tv show. Learning about the smaller clubs around the world
Hey Zealand great work!
What an excellently made, interesting, informative piece of content
I follow you´re channel for a few years now. I really like you´re content but for me this piece of art is by far the best you have produced yet
Well done Zealand. A very good promotion of football in general; and Faroer in particular.
what. a. video. if this is the direction you're going in with your channel, keep going, this stuff is incredible
More of this, please. You traveling to minnow countries and capturing their football culture would be amazing content.
I watched a lot of your vids zealand, tutorials and everything else, streams too, but i think this is one of my favs, the music, the talks, the experience, the ending speech, love it, keep up the good work
Great job Zealand and Adler! It is a masterpiece!
That was a absolutely beautiful video Zealand. Growing up in a small town in Portugal, I can relate to the familiarity displayed here. Made me feel thankful and overall excited to keep watching, playing and talking about football. Keep up with the good work!
As a football fan, this is emotion in its purest form. Amazing content, amazing club!
While I'm not a fan of you taking long breaks from streaming, this video was worth it. Bravo to you and Adler and everyone else involved
Well. That felt long. Not in the sense that it was too long. In the sense of how you packed a lot into it and it was good on top of that. Lots of interesting stuff about a league and team not many of us would even think to find out more about outside of this year. Looking forward to more of whatever whets your appetite with stories like this and New York.
