Thank you for this review.
This is exactly the case I was looking for.
Glad I could help
Just bought mine, coming tomorrow. Super excited! Never done an ITX build before.
Congrats mate, hope you enjoy it! If you get stuck on anything just ask
Without any questions the best jonsbo a4 review 👌
Thank you mate
I've got this case in silver, absolutely amazing build quality and great size without too many compromises. It's available on AWD it uk for £109.99. saves you another £20.
My brother has the Ncase M1 and we both agree this Jonsbo A4 is very impressive and much better value out of the two. Really needs to be more content on this case, glad you have done this !
Stay safe and let me know about the noctua L12 on the CPU. I've subbed to your channel, keep it up!
Thank you mate and so nice to hear from someone else with this case.
I looked on AWD but they only had silver and black. I really wanted to try the space grey so stumped up the extra £20. Does look amazing though.
I just dug out my black ridge so will try that with a 120mm fan on top, if that fits so will the l12 when I get a spare afternoon I may tear down my ghost and steal the l12 out of that :)
I also had the M1 and while I loved the size and idea, I hated the build quality for the price, this feels much more premium.
Good review. I was looking at this and the Geeek N501.
Also lovely review on the T8 case
Thank you mate, we really wanted to cover these Jonsbo cases as there is so little information on them. This A4 is so nice that I have actually kept it for our editing rig beating off a TU-150 and Streamcom DA2 we also have in the office. I considered getting in a Greek n500 but I am just not sure on a Perspex panelled case, I am not sure how well it would hold up over time
the case fan assembly was pure asmr lol
Haha thanks!
Thanks for this - great review.
Glad you enjoyed it
great review, thanks!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing . Have a question though since I've bought it and waiting for it's arrival.
What do you think about using a sfx-l psu in there ? Is that even possible ?
Nice to see someone cover Jonsbo cases! However your temperature is not at equilibrium, it rises 5 degrees C after you've made your conclusion because you haven't run the benchmark long enough to stabilize
amazing review, would you consider doing a video on the noise levels at different speeds and thermals ect
Let me look into doing that
@MashITTech waiting😢 im very interested in this case and found a good deal in my area. Hoping to see updates on this case ❤
good review
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your review!
Will there be a video with your actual build coming out soon?
Would really like to see what your real part choices would be for this case.
I am certainly hoping to, I am just currently struggling to get hold of the parts I want. I was hoping to do an all AMD build, hoping availability improves soon
@@MashITTech Hey there, I just completed my build with this case.
The GPU goes up to 62° C max and CPU around 55° C max.
My build has 4 fans (2 noctua bottom and 2 nzxt for the top mountet nzxt AIO).
I am using a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and a Nvidia GTX 1070.
Nice to see some more jonsbo cases! Any plans for the Jonsbo V8?
When OCUK get it in stock I sure I will review it 👍
Hi, pretty nice video!! Just wondering, where can you mount 2,5'' SSD on this case? Maybe in that PSU cover where the logo and the screws are?
Hi, thank you. Yes, that cover is designed to hold 2x 2.5” ssd 👍
thanks a lot for this, just what i was after! do you have a view as to why there are pretty much no other reviews? bit of mystery as it seems like a great case!
no problem. I found it odd as well, there are quite a few nice Jonsbo cases around and no info on any! I will probably end up buying them all for review :) If you have any questions fire away and I will do my best to answer
because the jonsbo cases are not widely available
i want to buy this case but i need your help
do you need sfx psu or you can use just a normal atx psu ?
have you tried fitting a three slot gpu in this case? does it fit ?
Did you managed to test it with the blackridge? Im not very fond of watercooling myself and since I have the cooler already was considering using it on this case. Thank you!
Yes, and it worked really well. I also put a slim 120mm fan on it. The l9i I used in the temp build was really noisy even with an undervolt, this black ridge is quiet and keeps it much cooler (I also hate water cooling as the pump noise annoys me)
how long is the video card cable?
Nice video. Just wanna ask. Does 2.9slot gpu fits. Im using aorus rtx 2070. Just wondering to buy this case or not. thanks
2.5 cards will fit but 2.9 is going to be too close to the window
How are those Power Supply Temperatures?? That's my biggest concern.
Yess thanks for reviewing it.. the only nice itx cases that asian people can reach and buy. Since most ITX reviewed cases are from US and the shipping are to expensive to sent to asia..
Glad you enjoyed it. We are lucky in Europe too as we can get Jonsbo cases here easily
Hello and thank you for the review !
I have some questions for you sir :
- Is it really possible to mount the PSU the opposite way ? I would like to benefit from new RTX 3xxx series to get constant air flow (I know It will be warm)
- Is it possible to mount the SSD inside the PSU shroud ? (If you can mount the PSU in reverse mode)
Thanks
I am hoping to get a founders edition 3070 as soon as they release in the U.K. I will do an updated build with thermals when I can get one. Let me take a look at the psu shroud when I get into the office tomorrow to answer your ssd question. You can mount the psu either way, I didn’t want the psu pulling hot air in from the gpu so faced the fan towards the shroud. It has a 120mm pushing air up at it and 120mm above so plenty of airflow for it
@@MashITTech Yes, many thanks for the reply. I know facing the PSU towards the GPU exhaust seems like a bad idea. But I think it will be the only way to fit the SSD inside the shroud. Shame they didn't do the same as in the Raijintek Ophion Evo (my current case) by placing them behind the front panel.
Out of interest, why do you want to place the SSD inside the shroud? There is 2 slots on the outside of the shroud, do you need more than 2 bays or are you trying to hide the SSDs?
@@MashITTech I'm trying to hide them (Crucial MX500 1tb *2). If not possible, I will vinyl them.
"Improvise, adapt, overcome"
I am 99% sure they will easily fit inside as I know there was a good 15-20mm gap between shroud and PSU. But also, the glass is very tinted, unless you have a lot of RGB inside the case you will not see them
Waaait a minute does those gpu suppoort bracket came with the case? Nice vid btw, Thanks!
I have this case. This is a sandwich case. The GPU goes top down onto the GPU riser cable. It doesn't need a GPU support bracket like those horizontally mounted GPU. If you mean the GPU riser cable, yes it comes with this case.
@@Alex-Rainmaker thanks for the reply! How's it workin out so far?
@@ZFSV_LSJTJUOB It working great. Cooling is 2 top exhaust and 2 bottom intake 120mm fan. The case is made of thick 3mm alloy. Certainly not those cheap low quality case. Look wise, it's very well design, the top and side panels are totally screw-less. The only thing I dislike is the PSU cover which is a pain to install. I decided not to install it since I am not using any SSD. One of the few case with front USB3.0 and USB C port.
Hi there, which one do you prefer personally? The tu150 or this? Putting their size aside.
This machine hands down. I do love some features of the tu150 (you can fit a bigger cooler and gpu and the handle is good) but this jonsbo just feels so premium and I love the look of it, the tu150 looks quite ugly to me, especially the front panel and IO
@@MashITTech thank you!
Do you feel like Jonsbo A4 is a better or worse choice than Cooler Master NR200P ? Or do you feel it's similar ?
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get my hands on the nr200 yet but as soon as I can I will compare it. From what I have seen, the 200p has more options whereas the a4 looks better and is more premium.
Hello,
Great review!
One question I have. Can you tell me what is the height of the case (in cm) without the feet and with the feet?
Thank you!
Hi, sorry for the delay answering this question. As soon as I get into the office I will measure it for you
@@MashITTech Thanks! I'm interested if Jonsbo A4 is smaller than the CM NR200P.
Its 270mm high without feet. 281mm high with feet. Sorry for the delay!
How high do your GPU Temperatures go? It seems the glass would suffocate the card's intake.
Let me check the temps and get back to you, but I know they have been fine. Reason being you have 2x 120mm fans blowing air up over the cards and 2x 120mm above extracting the hot. It works really well. Also the EVGA I have is a 2 card slot so there is a good 30mm clearance between the glass and card.
@@MashITTech good to know. How much do you see the max after 20-30 mins of running something like Furmark, which maxes the GPU usage ?
I need some help. I’m about the build a pc with a Ryzen 9 3900x. I’ve also purchased a 240mm corsair hydro 240mm. In terms of placement for the cooler because I know you shouldn’t place a radiator below the pump. This case or the coolermaster np200p? Many thanks in advanced :-)
I still haven’t managed to get my hands on a nr200 yet 😭 really want to test that one. This case will look and feel a lot more premium, the nr200 will be more flexible
@@MashITTech My only issue is with the airflow with the glass panel on the nr200p. The only option for the aio is to put it on the side mount and in terms of airflow I’m not sure how much there will be if the glass panel is directly on the radiator. What is your experience with this Jonsbo a4. Do you recon a 240mm aio on top would fit or is it really tight? From what I’ve heard though everyone is in love with the coolermaster nr200p
I don’t like water cooling (hate pump noise so always prefer a decent air cooler. I will measure up inside the case shortly but from memory I reckon it would be an easy fit at the top
@@MashITTech If I went air cooler I’d need something fairly capable to cool the Ryzen 9 3900xt 😂😂. But yes please would be interested to see if the aio would fit in top of this case a4 case 👍. Many thanks
Did you think the price are justified? I like this case but there are cheaper ones that also good like Lian Li TU150 or Cooler Master NR200P.
Yes, in this case it is, it is a really premium feeling case with some nice touches.
Lovely review of this amazing looking case, thank you. Do you know what the clearance is like at the top for a 240 aio? There didn't look to be a great deal of space left for a radiator with the Noctua fans installed but it might be an optical illusion :)
It should easily fit but I will measure the gap when I get in the office tomorrow and let you know the clearance 👍
@@MashITTech Do you think there is a way to fit in an ARTIC Freezer II 280 AIO by drilling some more hole ? Thank you
@@stephanelouvet1113 hey any luck with this? Planning to do the same as people have managed to fit P14 (140mm) fans in the bottom, even with just a 120mm to 140mm adapter bracket it might be feasible
Hello, how are the temps during gaming? Hoping for you reply ❤
What CPU cooler would you put on instead of the NOCTUA L9 ? Is there room for a bigger Noctua NH-L12 ?
im using msi mag 240r aio with this one. top exhaust
@@mohd.eimiraqmalyazid1895 thanks, but I'm looking into air cooling
Sorry for delay. Let me check the l12 as I think that is taller than the l12s I have. I currently have a black ridge with 120mm on top which is working well but I will pull the l12s from my ghost and test it for you
Thank you! That would be amazing. I have it all in the shopping chart and I am not sure yet to what cooler would be fitting.
@@MashITTech did you have time to test it ? Thank you!
Nice video, finally in English!
I have the very same case.
Back then when I've bought it i couldn't found any video about it in English, so I've followed a Chinese build video. There they show the preferred order of adding components (and there they build in a water cooler, in case if you anyone wants to see that).
Here is the link for that Chinese video:
ruclips.net/video/BmdYm1ah7lI/видео.html
Also here is the link for the manufacturers site where you can find its specs:
www.jonsbo.com/en/products/a4gray.html
I've missed one information about the case here (or probably it was mentioned and I just didn't catch it). The PCIe riser cable is only supporting PCIe 3.0x16 (gen 3) so it does not support gen 4 which some motherboards and the RTX3000 series in theory can utilize. So if both of your MB and your GPU supports gen 4 but the cable does not, then you have to configure your bios to use only gen 3. In practice I don't think it has any effect on your video card performance. I have a EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra (because it is ~2 slots and has more clearance for the GPU fans) and I haven't experienced any drawbacks so far.
Riser 3.0?
Hi there it look like there is enough space for an ATX PSU is that possible??
If you ripped the cage out I am sure you could fit a atx in there but you would have to find a way of attaching it
@@MashITTech So in the cage that you used for mounting there is no space for it?
and great review btw
No, unfortunately not. But if you removed that entire cage it would fit in the gap, you would just need to find a way to secure it and you would also loose the hdd bays
@@MashITTech Mhm I do not need those and have a 3D printer so thanks a lot for your information!
perfect!
Wait for Jonsbo V9 Release! Looks much better.
Oh I haven’t seen that yet, will go and take a look 👍
@@MashITTech pre-ordered from overclockers, looks promising!!
Nice, heading over there
Wow I love it other than the front side ports! Have you seen their new premium range? Jonsplus i100
@@MashITTech yes I was abit gutted about the ports being placed on the right hand side because some of us like placing towards a wall, overall I do believe it's the smallest matx case as of now? Don't count me on it though was impressed with it's size. Haven't gotten around with the i100, I'll check it out.
Use fan hub?
I want use 4fan
But but mb only have two socket
2fan mb fan 2fan aio?
I bought a 1 to 4 splitter and put all my fans to 1 header (except cpu)
Is the riser 3.0 or 4.0?
The version we bought was a 3
@@MashITTech Thank you for the info
Can I fit into it rtx 3080 Asus tuf ?
Thats a 2.7 slot card. I wouldn't risk it. It may fit but will have very limited airflow
@@MashITTech That's fine, thanks for info
theres a guy here in Malaysia with 3090 tuf in this case. im on 5700xt strix with this case. no problem with clearance
@@mohd.eimiraqmalyazid1895 I'll give a try when stock of nVidia will be available
You are going to blow your PSU installing it this way
Why? There is an inch clearance plus a ton of cool air directed straight up at it from the 120mm fan from below
Dude ain't wrong, I have the exact same case. There's a bit of space, install a couple of good fans and you're good. You can mount it the other way around, it'll expel heat right on to your GPU instead
Can not get these cases in the USA
Oh that is such a shame. I am surprised we get them here in Europe
can fit rtx 3060?
Which model 3060?
@@MashITTech ya nvidia rtx 3060 ti
yes, easily :)
LOL using a Wakizashi for unboxing.
Shame about that GPU clearance.
In which regard? The length or width? I was only expecting a 2 slot as per a lot of these sandwich style cases. But it will easily fit a slightly fatter card such as a 2.25 slot maybe even a 2.5 width. 3 card slots definitely won’t fit though
You sound like jarvis
Haha you are not the first person to mention that 😂
Azzus? How in the heck did you come up with that? Of the two variations Aysus and Ayseuss, you chose to invent something completely new? Do you pay zero attention? Bizarre.
Oh and that's right, rest the two glass panels on top of each other, that won't scratch at all.
Wow, please find someone else to troll
Did anyone noticed that big arse knife lmao
It was the smallest one I had to hand 😂
@@MashITTech 🤣
Thiw case very overprice
