That 2000 Holiday Surprise Barbie you got is SO LOVELY!!! It makes me wish I had more American Girl dolls that were ethnically diverse...I have a Japanese-American AG doll named Susan (who is Just Like You #4)...I think I named her after either Susan Boyle from Britain's Got Talent or Susan Murphy (aka Ginormica) from Monsters Vs. Aliens. Her full name is Susan Yoshika Miyamoto. Then over a year later after I got Susan (and Chrissa Maxwell from the Mall of America's American Girl store, which sadly closed in 2019), I received my first African-American AG doll (which was MyAG #47...I just found out the doll is now retired) which I named Roxanne after Roxanne Ritchie from the Dreamworks movie Megamind. If I was to ever get another Asian doll in my American Girl doll collection, I would like to either get JLY #75 (the Asian boy doll) or JLY #64 and make her my first Vietnamese-American doll and name her Kim after the character from the musical Miss Saigon. In the meantime, I'm just gonna hope for the best for my Christmas and see what the year 2022 starts out with. It's been gloomy because of my grandfather being killed in the tornadoes in Kentucky, so sometime in January, my parents need to go out to Kentucky and help my grandmother (the only grandparent I have left on this planet :( ) as she lost her wheelchair accessible van (because she goes around in a mobility scooter) in the tornado with her house. As much as I would help out with American Red Cross with giving money and/or hopefully getting my CPR/AED credentials renewed (I had CPR/AED training in 2013 while I was living with my parents with the help of a paramedic from Henrietta), I don't know if I could give blood at blood drives as they use needles that are larger than the ones used to give vaccine shots, do IV starts, draw blood for blood work, etc., it would be hard for me to endure as I had a fear of needles and hospitals (both of which were triggered when I was 3 years old and they did a blood test on me for lead testing...and that was the year my autism was diagnosed). That Barbie doll you've got there has such a nice dress, and my eyes got wide when I saw the gift box that came with that Barbie. I *LOVED* that necklace!!! What is your birthstone btw? My birthstone is ruby as I was born in the month of July (my mother and I share the same birth month...haha). Have a great Christmas!!! -Andrea

Well, sorry I did not finish. In my cleaning spree in September I gave a huge bag of these away on Trash Nothing/Freecycle. I bought all of the series up until several years ago. I would display them on a shelf during the holidays,, but the shelf got too full.. Not to worry they have a new home with a very happy collector. I don't know if she will take them out of the box. With this series I left them in the box.
