I really love the differences between the Yui ballade of Diamond no Jundo and the Yukino ballade. They’re both beautiful and wonderful to listen to. To me, the Yukino ballade is elegant, grand, and hopeful, containing a warm sounding full orchestra. While the Yui ballade is more acoustic, with more isolated instruments, it still feels warm, but it also feels a lot lonelier. Considering the lyrics I think the Yukino ballade feels a bit out of place, but I’d be upset if they didn’t give Yukino a ballade. I feel like this song just really does a good job of conveying the emotions of this series but especially the feelings of Yui. “Full of lies, full of scars” Yui realizes her selfishness, and she wants this relationship with Yukino, Hikki, and herself to continue even if it’s not completely genuine. She just wants somebody to confide in, as she feels like they’re her first true friends (and also likes Hikki). “Diamond tears” she’s cried an ocean of them throughout the series, making sacrifices, hurting herself, pushing people past a comfortable limit, it makes her upset and she wants to change herself. “This is the beginning of the end” at this point, she knows if she doesn’t do something, Hikki and Yukino will most likely try to stop this relationship, as they feel it’s not genuine, and she doesn’t want that. She wants to help them realize how to come together instead of giving up on creating a genuine relationship, but she doesn’t realize until later how exactly to do that. I think Yui is an amazing character, and I really love this song for being able to convey her emotions in a more straight forward way.

This arrangement is really, like REALLY addicting. 2 years since I had started listening to this, I would have gotten bored if it is for any song. But except for this piano, now I still want to replay the song whenever it ends especially when I am studying. At the same time it is nostalgic as well. Very good job for the one who made this!! I think i will be sooooo upset and cry more if i read this LN, they hurt themselves and now then they hurt me even I dont esist in their story. But i will remember the way they change better, the way they grow up and the way they leave a meaning story for me. Thank you so much for passing my life.
