Not strange, there's certainly much prettier birds but they're graceful flyers and beautiful in their own way. Would love an albatross myself as well as owls and pheasants.
I've loved vultures since the first time I saw one in real life. it flew from one branch to another and its wings were so massive I could feel the air moving. it was amazing, I really wanna see them in game too
We need a prehensile tailed porcupine and some species of sloth. Also, your not strange, I find vultures really beautiful, cool, and interesting! I think we could use a Kookaburra and some species of Macaw. Or any species a bird!
Planet Zoo should just give us waterfowl to put in ponds already. Black-necked swan, muscovy duck, Andean goose, Brazilian merganser, fulvous whistling duck, Brazilian teal, white-faced whistling duck, Northern shoveler, Southern screamer, just to name a few, are great options and that's just from South America, while in general we could also have magpie goose, Canada goose, mallard duck, black swan, mute swan, wood duck, Mandarin duck, and many others.
I would love local wildlife spawners. Pigeons to put by the picnic tables, squirrels, bunnies, and chipmunks, coi and ducks to put in ponds, etc... Just something simple like the falling leaves or snow, but with animals. Real zoos have real wildlife too!

i'd personally love to see an aquarium pack. maybe an aquarium dlc?? so then we could have all kinds of aquatic plants, maybe coral too. idk what else but i think it would just be neat.
I agree, a lot of people think it's not gonna happen because a lot of aquatic animals are hard to care for but a lot of fish and aquatic reptiles can thrive in captivity. I mentioned this in other channel and the forums, there's a potential chance that Frontiers gonna feature species found in Shepreth Wildlife Park, their latest collaborator. Of course, there are other collaborators from the past like Highland Wildlife Park, San Diego Zoo, and Chester Zoo
With the walkthrough Exhibits I believe we have the foundations of petting zoos, with small mammals like guinea pigs, rabbits and so on. They are very common in european zoos at least (I haven't been elsewhere to check). Maybe with some playground scenery items, which are an integral part of any zoo, I think. What is also very popular over here at least, are domestic animals, especially older and rarer breeds, like cattle, pigs and sheep. They are often combined with the aforementioned small mammals and sheep and some goats are often part of a petting zoo as well, along with donkeys. I think, that would open a lot of additional building options for the players. You can also easily add a fitting scenario map to play. But I agree with Leaf and think, that avians are coming first, before anything else. But if asked for my biggest wish: fishies. Make exhibit aquariums for smaller fish and larger, customizable aquariums for bigger fish, complete with underwater tunnels. Maybe even huge basins for dolphins, orcas or even whales. I know it would be cruel to keep these animals in a zoo irl, but we're talking about some animated pixels here.
I know we have lots of primates already, but they are such a diverse group you could fill a zoo just with them. I'd love primate pack: like bush baby, eye-eye, langur, golden snub nosed monkey, spider monkey, slender Loris, howler monkey, pale headed saki, cotton top mandarin, there are really so many.
Agree with everything you said, bird exhibits, arboreal animals, etc. A few animals that are on my list as well are the walrus and the sea otter. And I believe the walkthrough exhibit can be retrofitted to be an aquarium (the path can be an underwater tunnel), so then we could get a few fish species. I do hope we are able to mix species in the exhibits, so you can combine several kinds of parrot or songbirds. There's still SO many animals I would love to see they'd have to keep the dlc's coming for another 2 years.
I really hope we'll keep getting additional content even once the next Planet Game releases. Planet Zoo is literally making double the money Planet Coaster did and it isn't slowing down either. From a financial standpoint it just looks too risky to just stop supporting it. Once we got aviaries, it would be so easy and cheap for them to just keep adding more and more animals with no new crazy behaviours or mechanics, just filling the gaps of missing species. We all would be buying them.
You were right about the Twilight Pack... Good predictions in this video all around. I think a big bird DLC is inevitable with subsequent packs covering the bases you mentioned while adding a few more birds each time
@Leaf while I really would love to see birds like Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Shoebills, Macaws, Toucans , Kookaburras and all those amazing birds 🐦 out in the wild world 🌎 , I think the next pack would be an animal biome pack since we haven’t had one of those since the spring. Mainly I think it’d be either a mountain or Forest pack to fit the winter theme. Mainly I’m hoping for a Wolverine in Either one ^^ What do you think?
Honestly I would love the next two packs to be bird packs only, or maybe Frontier makes their first expansion dlc. The lack of avians in Planet Zoo has continued to be a sore spot for me. The fact a zoo building game has only 7 bird species to represent all birds but can have 6 species of bears alone (not that I don't want even more bears like the American Black Bear) has been a thorn in my side. Some of the best places in zoos have been aviaries for me, Bronx Zoo's birds of the world and aquatic bird house were amazing to walk through. After 3 years since release we still don't have any parrots, eagles, owls, vultures, corvids, waterfowl, and not to mention some large ground dwelling birds like the Emu or ShoeBill stork. Currently if I try to make a North American Zoo I have no birds to use for it in game, and I hope Frontier changes that soon! I'm really hopeful that we can finally get some more feathered friends, and I am really looking forward to the next dlcs.
Consider: a Mediterranean DLC with Italian, Spanish, Greek, Maltese, Cypriot and Turkish wildlife. Mediterranean wildlife is shockingly diverse but unfortunately looked over a lot.
I feel like it would be awesome to join exhibits and walkthrough exhibits to make larger enclosures and maybe even add some larger types of reptiles in those exhibits such as green anacondas / baby crocodilians until they are ready to be put in an outdoor exhibit.
I would love if the community could make their own scenario zoos to share. For example, I build half of a zoo, select a dozen goals to be reached and then, I upload it to Steam for others to play... I mean in real life it would be all of you creating scenario zoos for me to play... but you get the idea.
winter dlc after Halloween will be Christmas related its a time to spend with the family they can add dogs and cats, they can add turkeys xD or donkeys and camels that are also related with this time i know that thye have the artic one but still i can see it, but for birds i would say it will be around spring you can easily put butterflies and some colorful birds
@Leaf Also, I’d Seriously love an Island / Coastal Pack , to finally get amazing animals like Tasmanian Devils, Fossa , Sifaka and all those certain island and coastal animals for the summer
It's realy time for birds! They have to listen to the community wishes more and one of the most wishes are BIRDS! I hope for Aras in the next dlc... ✌🏻
A caribean animal than can be in the Islands Animal Pack could be the Coqui from Puerto Rico as an exhibit animal. I live in Puerto Rico and I just see a lot of the native animals here being overlooked.
some people in Africa believe AYA Lemur that it's bad luck but I would love to make a Habitat for Zoboomafoo I loved watching Zabu and Animal Junction as a kid I learned a lot about animal's from the Krat brothers
I'm convinced that they wouldn't put the time/energy into developing a new exhibit type for only one animal. So at the very least, we'll get a new bat species at some point... Content available for free in-game but only used by DLC animals has occurred but that's only like, once or twice with smaller enrichment items throughout the entire lifecycle of the game to date. I love your new/old world theory. It's a nice way to add a range of birds to the game (e.g., not just birds from a certain climate or biome, or even of a certain type--say, birds of prey). If they go that route, too, it would potentially be a signal that more DLC is imminent throughout 2023. And while I'm not convinced they would release two such packs back-to-back... I have a thought. What if the "new world" pack is animal-only with a few new bird habitat-centric pieces in the free update. Not sure how many animals we'd wind up getting if this were true, but let's say it's a few more than standard "habitat" animals... And we get 10. Make that the new world one. Then in the spring, we get an "old world birds" pack with 6 species and a new building set. A "vintage zoo/menagerie" building set! It would tie to the theme, provide something for all players, etc. I kinda don't see them doing two straight animal packs in a row, regardless of how cool an addition the animal pack is.
i hope they will make a walkthrough aviary and on the right of exhibit trading will apear aviary trading. The best birds for pack would be: scarlet macaw, toucan, cockatoo, shoebill, bald eagle, vulture and pelican.
Well, now that you mentioned it. I did made a list of the animals we would want. And speaking of Birds, I also made a separate list of flying birds. What I hope (but very unlikely) is that flight comes in an update, so that all the birds currently in game that naturally could fly can. But then the pack also adds plenty more birds that everyone wants. I know that this is very, very, very unlikely but hey, just saying what I personally would like to see.
Since wing clipping is very frowned upon in a vain circles and Frontier has been moddeling the game after far more ethical and conservation focused zoos, I doubt wing clipping will be a thing. In real world zoos many flighted birds like swans and some ducks actually choose to remain in the zoo of their own volition as food is plentiful and they are safe. Perth Zoo in Australia has swans that aren't truly contained, and simply choose to remain. And then there's the local wild birds who turned up and never left. Of course there's aviaries and netted areas too, which is taken care of in game via exhibits.
I mean it is a digital Version of a zoo. Real life zoos are already unethical why should they choose to be more "ethical" in that regard? I would like the Clip Option for the game
@@blazingbard5103 not all zoos are unethical. Many serve as long term rescue centres for animals that may not be reintroduced into the wild, keeping centres for exotic animals from the illegal animal trade or breeding centres to help repopulate wild species. You have a very two dimensional outlook on the subject, go and do some research on ethical zoos.
Also I definitely wouldn’t want to have my birds wings clipped, I just know that maybe someone built a really nice habitat and didn’t want to add an aviary.
I REALLY hope that we get some new birds, especially the Ratites. Animals like the Emu, Rhea and Kiwi are all yet to be added. And overall, i really hope the shoebill is added. I dont care which order the birds come in, as long as the Shoebill Stork is here.
I think we are gonna see a 4th year anniversary DLC. My bet is that the last DLC is gonna be Xmas 2023. They should milk the birds at least for a little while and then put all the fan favorites. Then give the modders all the tools they need to go hard and keep the longevity going
My thoughts about this video: Black-Headed Spider Monkeys would look PERFECT if they were in the game! My sister loves secretary birds, she would be happy if they were added. (Well, I hope so) About your second South America pack, Should it be ending in a "Part 2" or just "2"? Tamanduas would look GORGEOUS in game! Same with Tasmanian Devils. More flamingo = More H O N K, more E N R I C H M E N T *pray to the lazer kiwi* (I love kiwis, they would be perfect if I made a goofy ahh animal-themed zoo) You didn't mention agoutis, they would look cool and probably new players would mistake them for baby capybaras! 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I agree with you that Planet Zoo is slowly dying out and doing that to help on other games by theirs. Most importantly, Planet Zoo is lacking many animals! (Well, actually more than many.) I wouldn't want to make you mad Frontier, I am currently waiting and aiming to play your games one day!
id be open to paying more for a larger dlc pack, if we get like a large bird pack thats basicly animal+scenery combined (with scenry related to aviaries maybe? or a double animal pack, id def buy that if it allows for a good variety of new additions like avians or full aquatics.
Honestly the only way they could handle the addition of birds without it feeling like a pisstake would be with an unprecedentedly large update, be it free or otherwise. Birds really should have been in the game from days one alongside terrarium animals. And, well, aquariums too but we have yet to get those so f
What I hope they do is an avian pack for the next dlc. But if birds work like bats do they are not as much work as other animals so I hope that maybe we could get more than 8 birds in a pack? And then we could only have one avian pack with a lot of birds and the next would be islands or south America
I can't see us getting Kiwi's (as a Kiwi) simply because it's behavior is not exactly compatible with zoos; they're nocturnal but require pretty much total darkness, even with the lighting inside of the zoos/reserves we have here you walk in and can't see anything (Twilight with it's new walk in exhibits would have been a perfect pack for it). They're shy so they hide and hate noise and even though we might be getting more birds, the fact that they are ground dwelling/flightless leads me to think maybe they will be skipped. HOWEVER, as much as Planet Zoo aims for realism I'm sure heaps of animals wouldn't make the list if they behaved exactly as they did in real life. They are very cute and iconic, but Kiwis honestly are very boring.
My perfect bird animal pack would be: Andean Condor, Barn Owl, Bald Eagle, Scarlett Macaw, Emu, Secretary Bird, Black necked Swan and Sulphur-crested cockatoo. And to be honest my only missing animals are the Maned Wolf and the Tazmanian Devil, i will take whatever DLC with them in it.
Idk how to feel about birds… I feel like if it were birds there wouldn’t and shouldn’t be a lot of them 5 to 12 maybe in total for those dlcs, plus I’m hoping there not gonna be over the 10 dollar cycle but that’s my opinion
Maybe in the futur we could have planet zoo 2 in the same vain has Jurassic World Evolution 2 we would have every animal in the first game (Dlc animal included) but we will have new mechanics and adition of species (10 or 15 new animal) and brand new DLC and Deluxe animal
I think there has to be some type of free walkthrough exhibit animals added. Why give the walkthrough exhibit to the base game if you can’t use it without buying a dlc? It doesn’t have to be birds either. We already have bugs, give us butterfly gardens!
I hope we don’t only get walkthrough exhibits but also large exhibits that are alone so you can have birds/bats without guests walking through.
I also hope so, but you don’t have to connect the walkthrough to a guest path - just hook it up to a staff path and cover it :)

Gibbons climbing frames + walkthrough exhibits = sloths!
My Favorite theory is a big one too but for sure no birds. Well we will see 😁
i hope they will make a walkthrough aviary and on the right of exhibit trading will apear aviary trading. The best birds for pack would be: scarlet macaw, toucan, cockatoo, shoebill, bald eagle, vulture and pelican.
Parrots, Toucans and Hornbills!! Yes I am getting demanding and I cannot even play the damn game. LOL!
maybe an amazon pack: easily could feature a few iconic birds such as toucan and macaws, and sloths and south american animals featured in the video
Well, now that you mentioned it. I did made a list of the animals we would want. And speaking of Birds, I also made a separate list of flying birds. If you could, you can contact Frontier and copy down the list here.

what's stopping you from doing that lol
I don’t think they should ever fully stop doing planet zoo I think they should do like updates every 6 months if they need too
What I hope (but very unlikely) is that flight comes in an update, so that all the birds currently in game that naturally could fly can.
Sugar gliders please 😅
I like the old world/new world split up packs idea. I'd rather get the New World first but either order would ultimately be fantastic.
Wow, I can't believe you jinxed it and Frontier is dropping another all-mammal pack with multiple carnivores.
I REALLY hope that we get some new birds, especially the Ratites. Animals like the Emu, Rhea and Kiwi are all yet to be added.
And overall, i really hope the shoebill is added. I dont care which order the birds come in, as long as the Shoebill Stork is here.
Still sceptical about birds.. That islands pack idea is a really nice one though...
I think we are gonna see a 4th year anniversary DLC. My bet is that the last DLC is gonna be Xmas 2023. They should milk the birds at least for a little while and then put all the fan favorites. Then give the modders all the tools they need to go hard and keep the longevity going
My thoughts about this video:
Black-Headed Spider Monkeys would look PERFECT if they were in the game!
My sister loves secretary birds, she would be happy if they were added. (Well, I hope so)
About your second South America pack, Should it be ending in a "Part 2" or just "2"?
Tamanduas would look GORGEOUS in game! Same with Tasmanian Devils.
More flamingo = More H O N K, more E N R I C H M E N T
*pray to the lazer kiwi* (I love kiwis, they would be perfect if I made a goofy ahh animal-themed zoo)
You didn't mention agoutis, they would look cool and probably new players would mistake them for baby capybaras! 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I agree with you that Planet Zoo is slowly dying out and doing that to help on other games by theirs.
If they add a shoebill i will absolutely buy it
It's a stretch but if we get islands sumatran rhinos got my fingers crossed
It could be a bird pack it could be a mountain pack who knows
I would definitely like quails , king vultures (maybe), muscovy ducks and eiders aswell as many more bats an birds
Oooh, yes. MUSCOVY DUCCS
If we get birds we at least need one owl species. I have been to a couple of zoo's and there is not a single one with out owl's.
I think we will getting birds in the Planet Zoo.
I'm wondering if I will need the twilight pack to have an aiviary pack to work. I would love to see more south american animal as well as ociana.
I would just love to see manatees, and maybe walruses or some other related species of seal/sealion
Honestly the only way they could handle the addition of birds without it feeling like a pisstake would be with an unprecedentedly large update, be it free or otherwise. Birds really should have been in the game from days one alongside terrarium animals. And, well, aquariums too but we have yet to get those so f
Oh no, my bats are broken
The update seems small. Maybe we get an aviary too but they haven’t announced it yet?
What I hope they do is an avian pack for the next dlc. But if birds work like bats do they are not as much work as other animals so I hope that maybe we could get more than 8 birds in a pack? And then we could only have one avian pack with a lot of birds and the next would be islands or south America
@Leaf also, I hope that it doesn’t end and really hope Planet Zoo keeps goin, I’d hate to see it stop 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
I want an aquarium pack.
Birds are in the chordate phylum of animals
IF we do get a BIRD DLC I just hope the lay eggs.🥚
Just wait for Planet Zoo 2 😉
Yass I need my mained wolf @-@
I want Budgies 💕
Birds or prey pack and birds of paradise pack?
My perfect bird animal pack would be: Andean Condor, Barn Owl, Bald Eagle, Scarlett Macaw, Emu, Secretary Bird, Black necked Swan and Sulphur-crested cockatoo.
And to be honest my only missing animals are the Maned Wolf and the Tazmanian Devil, i will take whatever DLC with them in it.
Idk how to feel about birds… I feel like if it were birds there wouldn’t and shouldn’t be a lot of them 5 to 12 maybe in total for those dlcs, plus I’m hoping there not gonna be over the 10 dollar cycle but that’s my opinion
the bird i want the most is a vulture
Good video love it !!! 😁😁
PZ. NEED. BIRDS. XD
I'd love to join the debate, but I'd honestly buy a pack with just porcupines... so my opinion might not be worth much.
I need sloths so bad
An African vulture… proceeds to show an Asian white-rumped vulture😜
Maybe in the futur we could have planet zoo 2 in the same vain has Jurassic World Evolution 2 we would have every animal in the first game (Dlc animal included) but we will have new mechanics and adition of species (10 or 15 new animal) and brand new DLC and Deluxe animal
Best theory 👍
Team Islands!
Something tells me you like sloths
The fact that birds are the minority in pz hurts lol
I think there has to be some type of free walkthrough exhibit animals added. Why give the walkthrough exhibit to the base game if you can’t use it without buying a dlc? It doesn’t have to be birds either. We already have bugs, give us butterfly gardens!
I Would Like A Mekong DLC
1 Siamese Crocodile
2 Giant Fresh Water Stingray
3 Mekong Giant Catfish
4 Saola
5 Siamese Carp
