Great concert from great musicians. I like the way drum and bass kept everything rocking and steady.
Sadly we were not at JA in the good times, just a little bit people could say they see the original Skatalites, only almost 2 years together and then some other projects and bands, sul vendors, soul brothers, supersonics, sound dimenssion, Don´s death, all things that happened, but the soul, the idea, the heart still remains into this beautiful music... I saw Lloyd Knibb, Brevett, Sterling, Baba Brooks and Doreen, such a genious, lets enjoy the music they left behind played for great musicians as Andre and Kevin on top, as their site says "Forever indebted to the inspiration and talent of: Roland Alphonso, Lloyd Brevett, Don Drummond, Jerome “Jah Jerry” Haynes, Lloyd Knibb, Tommy McCook, Donat “Jackie” Mittoo, John “Dizzy Johnny”Moore, and Lester Sterling, collectively known as The Skatalites".
MIGUEL ESCALANTE MARIN I saw them a couple of times when Tommy McCook and Roland Alphonso were still alive. How lucky of me!

I love this small, but powerfull instrument!
The people complaining about this not being the "real" Skatalites need to light another and relax. First they've had this lineup for awhile now and some have been skatalites for yrs or even decades. 2nd, Doreen Shaffer!! 3rd I don't think the Skatalites ever had the same exact lineup from one album to the next and has always had musicians & guests coming and going. Can't wait to see them for like my 6th tme this sunday, so good to know the Skatalites are still playing these GREAT songs and introducing new fans to some of the best music ever made. Outstanding ska, roots/skinhead reggae, whatever you call it, this is Outstanding!! Thank you to the band and whoever uploaded/shared it.
It's one of the trendiest tactics of attention-seeking nay-sayers to gripe whenever a long-running band doesn't have all the exact same members they did 20, 30, or in this case 50 years previous. No one cares, don't go to the show if you don't like it. The rest of us appreciate those who filled in the shoes of those who couldn't continue or passed on.
The current Skatalites are a tribute to the various original members...keeping the songs alive for those who were not born yet. Plus its hard to be in a band when one is no longer walking the Earth.
Yeah they're the same people who support their favourite football team which changes its line up every year yet they never seem to notice that! I have been lucky enough to see The Skataliktes in various line ups over the years. they're incredible, especially when they had many of their original members left who were still skanking into their 80s! When a stage full of pensioners makes you lose your mind then you know you're witnessing something special! Long live SKA!

I think by now... Skatalites lives and breathes only as a concept. Not that I don't appreciate it... but I'm getting old and I'm getting sentimental. RIP ORIGINAL Skatalites.

Nice sound by nice young and talented people who play tunes of the Skatalites. But without the two lloyds there can exist no true Skatalites sound and feeling - with exception of Doreen Shaffer!

Can't call this lineup the Skatalites because there are no original members! Pure guest musicians playing the originals music. That said sax and trumpet sound strong for a cover band.
