A man is never honored in his own country. This group I have held to d highest regards. They have always put me in a trance and when I c them going about their normal lives, I turned into an Ediot cause I can't believe my eyes that I'm looking at these great kings. As a teenager in d seventies until now when I hear their songs. They r so humbled. They would greet us youg and old when our path cross. One of d most unique harmonized voice I have ever heard. They r kings I tell u. Let Jah be praised.
Bernard and brothers should be officially honoured in Jamaica for their lifetime works, the Abyssinians are modern day saints who inspired so many people with their music. BLESS UP EVERYTIME

The Abyssinians have changed my life. It took me a lot of years and a lot of mistakes, to see a better way of living. As I did, I started to listen to reggae music all the time, and the Abyssinians most of all. This is the kind of music I wish temples and churches accross the world would tune into. I would be at every service, front row and centre, if they did. Maybe I will have to recommend it to my local church. After all, I didn't know about them myself, until recently...
Lets start our own place of worship then! :)

Groups such as Diamonds, Gladiators, Melodians, Wailing Souls, Maytals, Maytones, Royals, Jays, Chantells just to name the few but the list goes on.
