Thank heavens you like carrots 🥕. The carrot fries looked good😊 Try fried onions 🧅 in the carrot spaghetti, tasty - grated cheese on top would be a great addition if the budget allows it. Great ideas for very budget meals.
You could have put onion into the soup for extra texture and flavour. Also, because you had mayonnaise, you could have done onion and carrot slaw to go into your roll 😊
I love this type of videos, and you have done an amazing job!! Kudos to you!! I'm really excited to see what challenges you are going to do next. Thanks so much for sharing, take care :)
Have you ever had chocolate gravy before? In the southern US, chocolate gravy with biscuits is popular. I've never made it or tasted it before, so I can't speak from experience. But if you could get the flour and chocolate again, it may be something you want to give a try.
Haha - i literally used to do the bread & choc toasted sarnie thing as a teenager all the time. I used to roll them up a bit too so there were layers. It is probably the reason i was fat all the way through from mid-late teens until mid 30s - haha. Well that and the 'diet' coke anyway.
Still in my catch up. Your meals have been pretty short on protein. The avo toast had some! Again, if you were buying for a whole week, you could get a bag of dried beans - those are pretty cheap, and have protein. Instead of ravioli, I would've gone for something akin to a pappardelle, and a sauce from the onions and peas, cooked down. Did any of these places have deli counters? That's what we call them in the US - where you can get sliced cold meats & cheese? When I was a poor student, I'd get tiny portions of sliced ham, and have them slice it THICKER. Maybe 1 or 2 slices. You can dice that up and add that into a pasta, rice, or on something like a bruschetta. Or do they sell anything like precooked chicken pieces? Like a leg or drumstick? Take the meat off that. Other things you can explore: quick flatbreads. RUclips is FULL of quick flatbread recipes! A great way to stretch that flour.
Your imagination is off the charts with these challenges. That coupled with your cooking skills? Impressive. Well done. 😜
