Hey Sam... Sainsbury's is the Winner... Not Tesco You gave Sainsbury's a 9.5 for value when it was £9.60 and you said you were rounding up so that should be a 10 but you put 9 in the final value score so with the taste score you put 17 when it should have been 18. Which would have made Sainsbury's the winner. All the best, keep up the great videos
You could get that game where you wind up, or set off somehow, little figures that fight each other in a ring. Just stick small labels on each one with the names of supermarkets on. See who wins!
Back in the day before covid and the cost of living crisis that co op deal was essentially buy a pack of beers and get 2 free pizzas if you chose the most expensive beer.
The M&S deal was £12 they added a few Kerridge options and put it up to £15. I feel ripped off because I just get the regular options but now have to pay more for the same thing
Sam, for those supermarkets that didn't give drinks you should have docked them the cost of the budget wine from that same supermarket. Maybe similar for where you needed an extra side dish to make the meal complete. Perhaps you can do a 20£ date night meal challenge, for each supermarket and set the constraints to be starter, main, 2 sides, dessert and a wine. Meal needs to oven ready like those in this challenge.. .. they you can do the copycat cook from raw variant of the meal. Living the life on the fancy grub now.
I really wish stores in the US (or stores in my area of the US....every region has their own chains) would do these types of meal deals. The whole thing would make it easier to decide on what to have for dinner on nights I don't want to cook.
After watching your ad, it'd be awesome to see a second channel called something like "Recipes with Sam Wilder" or maybe as a Friday series or something like that
We usually get the tesco finest. I love the pulled beef, with the baby potato traybake (or potato dauphinoise) with the apple crumble or one of the choc or sticky toffee puds and coke 👌
@ I can assure you she is incredibly well fed and looked after. She’s just a greedy chops. Don’t accuse people of animal cruelty when you have zero context.
You need to take the savings with a pinch of salt - they really don't expect anyone would buy the individual items at the sticker price. A case in point, Tesco's: no way would you pay £8.50 for the wines included in the offer, you'd get much better for the price from the wine shelves. Also some meal deal products (like Tesco's melting fondant desserts) are identical to a non-Finest product elsewhere in the store, just in different packaging and with a different SKU!
Readly is brilliant , I’ve used it for months now. Gives you all the daily papers as well as thousands of magazines. First time I’ve ever commented to endorse a sponsor but it’s unbelievable value for money.
When Waitrose first opened in Salisbury 30 odd years ago, you could sweep in and scoop seafood for pennies just before they closed. I once brought a whole 10lb salmon for 2 quid. The fishmonger portioned it up for me too. The hot counter was no less different. They too had whole roasted chicken and gammon joints for silly money rather than launching it in to skips. Probably very different now.
The pie deal at M&S is fabulous! £10 for 2 individual pies (lots to choose from), and any 3 sides. It was so tasty! Big shout out to the chicken tikka pie!
Love Readly, been using it for a few years now and its great to have access to all different types of magazines (in English and other languages). Think Sainsburys and M&S are my fave dinner deals. Ps love the anthropology plate you featured in the Waitrose section
I am a huge M&S fan but the Asda Bom Bahia is the best thing Asda do & worth a visit to buy on there own. It is the best high St curry range but not easy to find.
They used to do wine with the M&S deals didn't they? I looked at the Irish M&S page and yeah, our gastropub dine in is the same as this. I feel like they def did a drink with these.
At 6.56 what is the background music? I need the name of it please as I really like it. I've heard it on another channel but cannot find it amongst the copyright free music that I have so far searched on!
0:29 - 2:45 This is the "Dining with Doggo Reilly and Kitty Show". 13:50 Sam is faster than Reilly (the dog). Reilly wanted yummy food this entire time, the opportunity was there, but she was too slow.
Always get Tesco's - good value. M&S stopped doing the wine, I think that was wrong! Will definitely try the Sainsburys, that looked really good! I agree, hope your lovely dog got some treats - was obviously very upset by the way that squeaky toy was being thrown about!
So love your videos, its great to see decent options with savings however i noticed about Sainsbury's score 1st you said the saving was £9.60 giving it a 9.5 saving score (which at first confused me as i thought you rounded up but then realised thay would be of it was over .75) however on the score board you only have it a 9 meaning it was half a point behing tescos when it should of been equal?
Im screaming **Cheat** 😅😅😅 You are not allowed to move marked stars about . Once given you gotta stick with the given....those chips look delicious...im starving again.
Interesting topic as always, but I think you could have scored an extra point for the meal deals that got your beautiful dog nuzzling up to you at the table-maybe the Tom Kerridge lamb? Loved the rare appearance on camera of your puss cat on top of the cupboard! I also love your pink floral and cat ceramic plate. Did you buy that in the UK?
I don’t think it’s fair to compare Indian to the other food I’d say that is a different category and compare like to like. First time watch good channel and I will consider subscribing in future

Oh wow! We don’t have any deals like that here.🇨🇦 All of those meals looked homemade. If I ever get back to London I’ll definitely use these as meals at my accommodation. So fantastic!! 😃
Sainsbury’s should have got 10 points on savings because saving was £9.60 and therefore closer to £10, so Sainsbury’s should have got joint 1st. You messed up big time Charlie
Sam I love, love, love your videos BUT, I have to brace myself to watch them as you are a cutlery clatterer!! When people clash their cutlery on their teeth it has the same effect as nails on a chalkboard! Your videos are still worth it though.
I love your vids soo much but your pets are always being so close to the food is a bit gross and unhygienic! I love pets but not whilst I’m eating on my dining table!

I loved your dog playing with his / her toy in the background ! Great video by the way !
I would have liked this for your doggy playing with the squeaky frog alone but this also helps me do a shop tomorrow!

You should do the curry meals for 2 the ones where you get the rice , naan and onion bhajis .. love seeing the doggo playing

I really enjoy your content. But I spent my childhood growing up with a Irish Setter we had him for fifteen years.
Such a beautiful doggie 🧡
Love Irish setters ❤️❤️
The glass popping into shot at 0:45 has me rolling 😂
🤔 why?
True gentleman pouring himself a glass first 🫠
I only found you last week and I love what you’re doing, keep up the great work pal. Liked and subbed. 👍👍👍

I look forward to your pists, love your vontent. You are so inventive when it comes to the challenges.x
I love that the dog has a "please give me food" cameo in every video)
Love the content of this video. You've done the hard work for us.
We usually get the tesco finest. I love the pulled beef, with the baby potato traybake (or potato dauphinoise) with the apple crumble or one of the choc or sticky toffee puds and coke 👌
Love that your dog was obviously very excitedly watching you eat. I hope she got a little treat off-camera 😉👍.
Always!
She always beg. Must be just greedy.
@@SamWilder. Do a video where she's the judge
There is no need to film animals begging for food- especially when they get nothing. Pure cruelty.
@ I can assure you she is incredibly well fed and looked after. She’s just a greedy chops. Don’t accuse people of animal cruelty when you have zero context.
Always love to watch your videos while eating dinner, another great vid!!
Watching you eat the cinnamon bun made me think you drank the wine even though it was a Monday 🫣
Great video Sam, keep up the good work 🙌🏼
He was all over scooping massive bites and dropping food and smacking his lips 😂 defo had the wine haha

Good informative comparison video. Loved the Irish Setter
Haha laughing at your dog 😂is
I agree Cinnamon bun, Sainsbury's ones with icing n cherrys... WOW 😊😅❤
3:14 I don't like Guinness either and I can hear my Irish ancestors crying 😂

Brilliant video. Thank you.😊

Appreciate it!
This the most chaotic video ever 😂 Past scored getting changed, entire scoring systems modified, parts not being filmed 😂 Good stuff though.
It was a week 😂😂
Says "they get 9.5 points" then gives them 9 points and says if they'd gotten 9.5 they would have been tied for the lead...
@@shadowcatX2000 clearly an accident 😂
@@SamWilder. I'm busting your chops, shit happens, we all know it.
@@shadowcatX2000 and tesco managed to lose a point somehow after the rating out of 10 correction 7:56 & 14:19
You both ate well this week 😊
You really , really need to try fentimans , coke me and My man favourite love your videos sam lot of love tash ❤
You get an instant like from me because your beautiful dog stole the show!
I’m curious how does savings score? If a shop over priced everything then does it just score a lot for a cheap deal
I am a huge M&S fan but the Asda Bom Bahia is the best thing Asda do & worth a visit to buy on there own. It is the best high St curry range but not easy to find.
Love your content you are very likeable personality 😅😅
Needed to get the Tesco lasagne al forno and chips, banging 😮
I'm a huge advocate for sainsbury's, those breakfast/desert rolls look lush
Cinnamon buns I'd say can be both desserts and breakfast given how someone feels on the day

There were much better options in the Tesco deal than fish pie, so it shows the power of Tesco! :)
I had to make sure I was cooking dinner during this video because it was making me hungry.
0:29 - 2:45 This is the "Dining with Doggo Reilly and Kitty Show".
13:50 Sam is faster than Reilly (the dog). Reilly wanted yummy food this entire time, the opportunity was there, but she was too slow.
Holy moly those indian dishes looked absolutely BANGIN!
They were!
A great episode hope you’re well
Can I cook the Sainsbury's one in an airfryer as will be flying over and have an airfryer. Thanks

I agree they shouldn’t have stopped the wine it was a good deal and now I do the Tesco deal with wine I think marks have missed out stopping the vino
Those co-op pizzas are way too doughy if you ask me, always the same but the deal is great if you love a Guinness like me !
They get the job done, but not the best that’s for sure

Wait just seen someone else in the comment mention it as well and you responded so just ignore lol 🤣
What a fun adventure this week. But those cinnamon buns should be illegal
😋😉
I usually go for M&S meal deals but after watching this I feel like I should just go for TESCO😭
Would guess that M&S would easily be the best, food is absolute quality, just unaffordable 😮
Definitely a breakfast food but stick a bit of ice cream with it and it's a perfectly acceptable dessert
Your dog is so cute
the mat watson of supermarket reviews aha keep it up champ
I honestly never saw a salted caramel flavour for the first 25 years of my life; why did it suddenly become so popular?
Thought the video was sponsored by Pepsi for a minute there 😂
Im screaming **Cheat** 😅😅😅

The Waitrose chips looked so undercooked. Also pepsi max over coke!? Absolute poppycock 😂
Could you cook those meals at home for the same price or less
Probably not a 1-1 price ratio with all ingredients needed
Didn't you give Sainsbury's a 9.5 for value so therefore they got the same as Tesco.
😂 oops. Apparently I forgot about that half point! 😬
The begging dog triggers me
Wow that's awesome compared to the USA meal deal
What are the USA meal deals like?
@tarachristie933 too bloody expensive and half size for yours and we can't get wine with any
Glad your dog is excited 😆
I work in Tesco and that bottle of rose ends up more on the bottom of my shoe than the shelf…
Tesco one is good but don't have a big selection
the savings feels like a bit of a cop out - they can stick whatever full price on they want...

I did not notice until you mentioned it 😭

Please lose the backing music - apart from that, great video!
They’re not really great value because they inflate the price of the individual items to make it seem like better value. It’s like a DFS sofa sale
