The outside surface on both sides is completely left open to breathe, the cement core is like a skeleton giving the wall the structural strength & using Rebar will give it Lateral strength.
In another way we think that CSEB block is not stand for long life as your video show that all block disolved itseft during pour the water. Then how could say that CSEB block has long life. Could you explained in another videos.
Jai , CSEB blocks don’t wash off as shown in the video and the presenter said for demo purpose they made few blocks without cement in them to show hw the skeleton-looks @ 0:10 sec.

Using concrete to lock the blocks. Does this in any way negate the properties of using earth blocks? Do the blocks still breath?

He purposely made these blocks without bondage, to show the skeletal framework of cement.
