I really wish with the bigger track you would bump the rental time up to 15mins
Agree for that kind of money.
Great job guys! Finally a proper track!
that's awesome. these run-offs were very much needed
Hello Dennis🖐 is that awesome
So excited! I’ve been around with Mike since the CalSpeed days. Excited turn some laps and run Tri-C here, maybe their own K1 Series on top of that.
"CalSpeed days" lol
Patiently waiting still!!
Man, That sounds so exciting. Great to see all the planning, completions and additions going on. Can't wait to see the Green Flag drop!!!!! Still got to say: Plugging for Mike Smith. K1 Circuit has a great GM, Race manager, series creator, driver coach with a huge package of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for every one who comes out to take the Green Flag at K1 Circuit!!! All the Very BEST!
Greg Reinhardt
Been traveling all the way up to Sonoma for my karting fix - can't wait for this place to finally open!
It was an absolute honor to work the K1 World Championships!
To see what it is now from then (Late July) is absolutely insane! Can't wait!!
I am definitely going for the Kart rental. All of the go-kart rentals a lame, slow cars. This looks to be real high performance ,skill based racing.
The karts have different speeds one through five. I kind of think it’s not fair to people, because some people could be going faster than others.
The speeds are there for safety reasons. As a rental facility open to all, they have all sorts of people going in for parties and arrive and drive. Most of them have absolutely no idea how to properly race a kart around a track safely. Nor do they care to learn, they are there to have fun and enjoy themselves. If K1 put every person at full speed, the amount of injuries, kart damage and track damage would go through the roof. The rule of thumb is, once you show proof to the workers that you are competent and responsible at driving and understanding how to adjust your speed for turns as well as safely passing slower drivers, they will turn your kart up. These aren’t “races” to see who crosses the finish line first, you’re driving to set a fastest lap against yourself.
Looks great, definitely clean job. Paint and rain don't get along with rubber though. 😮
I plan on being there a lot 😊
Damn! After watching this video, you are going to have your hands full, Mike.!🏁🙃🏁
ps: You've been working out huh.🤣
Rental kart racing in the rain... I moved down here from the Seattle area and we had rental league racing in the rain on slicks. It was totally fine! Car control and patience. Please consider it, have a conversation with the crew at PGP Motorsports about that experience (videos are on RUclips for reference)
Here in So Ca rain storms are infrequent. This year saw more than usual rain.
@@drewgrows7765 Yes true, but the rain is fun! Especially on a drying track and finding the grip etc.
Very exciting. Curious if race credits can transfer from K1Speed to K1Circuit....
You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time! So stoked for this place to open!!
great info. will you have to sign up online to reserve a spot for a given day for either rentals or bringing your own kart or can you just show up and run the course.
excellent
Any more updates? I drove by the place the other day and it was definitely not open yet but in this video you were saying maybe last November. Unless you meant NEXT November?
Should put one of these tracks in Lorain Ohio the city there is looking for something like it and have a area for it ???
It’s nice to hear Go Karts only. Supermoto bikes should build there own tracks.
Do you have any updates for k1 circuit has something very different?
when will west palm open?
November of this year!!???!!?!!?!?!?!!!!??
Any update
Awesome, but I have a question will Teen League run here Nationally for World Championship at K1 Circuit because I heard in the video that you have to be 16 years old with a drivers license? let’s say the teens are 14-15 years old will they be able to still drive for just for the world championship?
Yes!
The track looks so beautiful! Thank You guys for inviting me to the Championship! I am so happy you guys added to the track. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for the update Ryan!!
Track exit is still not safe. It should be tangential to the turn, well after turn in. Not before, or after, which is on the driving line AND requires the driver to kink/turn off the track. Look at just about any other kart track (Sonoma, Santa Maria, Orlando, NOLA...) MUCH safer. You just stay on the outside corner entry...and GO STRAIGHT. This is the right way to do track exits when pits are to the outside of the track. PLEASE fix this, in the name of safety.
Does he know what a road circuit is?
Sound limit ?
I’d love if someone at the austin location would call me back. I’ve left voicemails with no reply and I’d like to come pick up my sons helmet and gloves that he left Tuesday.
We also called Tuesday night from 9:30-10 and no one answered. Which seems to be a theme, the workers don’t want to talk to anyone so they don’t answer. Bc I called all day yesterday with no anger and the answering service couldn’t get anyone to pick up either.
Just go up there 😂
By not allowing mini bikes and supermotos (below 450cc) in California is a mistake. You’re a company that wants to profit right? You understand on any given day at Adam’s or Apex, kids and adults show up and fight for space and share even smaller facilities. At least consider small groups to try it out first.
Speed Vegas had us trial bikes due to the demand for mini and Supermoto bikes too but the runoff and boulders and rocks were not safe and we agreed bikes there aren’t a good idea.
Do you have to be 16 and older or can you be 15
No bikes 😞
@@thrnumbera a fast rider is a fast driver. A fast driver is not necessarily a fast rider.
You can have your go-karts. I prefer more of a challenge.
$125 on weekends?? fr?
Respectfully. You’re losing such a big market by not allowing supermotos and mini bikes. I was really hoping you were going to allow bikes.
They’re unlikely to have the issue that other kart tracks sought to solve by adding mini moto and supermoto, which is a lack of market depth/participation. If you look at similar facilities across the country, they are booked solid with kart rentals.
@@RyonBeachner that’s not the case in SoCal. Any track that allows mini bikes and Supermotos usually has more bikes than they do karts on almost any given day.
No they are not
@@matrixpro55 If you notice I said “similar facilities across the country”. I don’t mean tracks like Adams or Apex, I mean facilities like Dallas Karting Complex in Texas, or GoPro Motorplex in NC. This is an entirely different business model to Adams, Apex, or what was once Grange.
@@RyonBeachner I completely understand your reference to other facilities across the country. But I was pointing out that in SoCal specifically (which is where this track is located); the mini bike/supermoto scene is much bigger than most think.
