Thank you for showing your creative issues, not mistakes, but the process to make beautiful things! I have not used metallic puff yet but I have watched a few people. Several things happened to others, also. One lady did NOT use her Teflon sheet also waited a couple seconds for the puff to cool as it seemed to peel better even though they say peel hot. I use a top platen cover so I don't have to use the Teflon sheet OR parchment paper. One of the best investments and it was cheap! Love your press. I have the 15 inch pullout without the auto open.❤

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. This material is so fun but sometimes can be challenging. I am going to get a cover for the top of my press too. I think that’s a great idea!

It looks to be a crease in the middle of your Teflon and that is the issue from what I can see. Use non stick parchment paper maybe

I think the first one was a brilliant save I wouldn't even think of doing that. I just love watching you guys working live and showing us that even veterans make mistakes too, gives me so much life. Ever since that door mat video I ask myself what would Courtney do. Hi Courtney - Though it must have been very frustrating I am so glad you showed all the bumps along the way because that may help someone else. I'm happy that you figured out what was wrong. The silicone sheets can cause press problems. I would press out your silicone sheets at highest temp possible and then roll them instead of folding them. I have mine rolled and stored in a tall container (I got one of the magazine holder bags that goes on the Ikea peg board).

Thank you for your support! I swear I almost didn’t post but you’re right. I KNOW I’m not the only one that might have issues so helpfully this will help someone! That’s a great idea about the Teflon sheets. I will def be changing the way I store them. I actually never thought to roll them until this happened.

LOL. Sis. Crafting is great when it works but when it act a fool😂. I don’t know if it was pointed out for you already. It’s not getting even pressure because your collar is still on the bottom part of the press where the S is… you need to push it further back when I’m pressing shirts, I press with the collar toward me.
