that ending with chief ,thor and loki was pretty amazing xD
I guess you could say it was........ legendary
No? Ok I'll see myself out

That made me spilled my coffee for that end.😂🤣❤️👍
I lol'd. It was great.
I loved it. Too bad the rest of Blue Squad wasn't with Chief to share in the kill (although Thor and Loki would likely win, in the comics anyway due to stronger plot armor)
The Prophet of Truth was the decetive one. The prophet of Mercy shown no mercy. The Prophet of Regret shown no regrets for his actions.
I said something close to this. Just a meme.
what? he said sorry for jumping the gun.

Truth was such a good villain. Specially when voiced by Michael Wincott in Halo 2
I did not know that!
@@Safeguard1 I didn't either!
Best quote ever....
"There are those who said this day would never come.

The casting for Halo 2 was complete perfection.
Truth, Halfjaw, Tartarus, and the Arbiter are perfect examples of their species ideals and personalities, and without those voices they'd almost feel like different characters.
@@GyorBox That and "Soon the Great Journey shall begin. But when it does, the weight of your heresy will stay your feet, and you shall be left behind." Are my favorite examples of how perfect his voice is.
So Truth knew about the truth before his fellow brethrens?
I never knew this, I truly learn a lot from your videos. I hope your channel blows up soon.
To be fair he did not care and all 3 knew the truth after a remnants of mendincate bias and is the reason they attacked humanity in the first place due to fear that if reveled would result the covenant civil war. (irionic right?)
I knew that, as a matter of fact i think truth purposly let Regret go so he could further his political agenda and replace the Sangheili with the less honorable and less brained Jiralhaneae.... I think truth planned the whole thing out to gain power.... And I also think Truth is soley responcible for destroying the Covenant...

Only a none gamer would not know halo. Beside they will see the alien thing thumbnail first.
ARGNCE.
Why did Truth betray the Sangehili? It was obviously planned before the death of Regret and, being the second species in the Covenant and arguably better warriors than the Brutes, had significant value to the Covenant. So what were the steps that led to the Schism?
The longer the Covenant stayed in War with Humanity the more and more secrets regarding the Forerunner's relationship with humans became known. the war was essentially one giant planned genocide to erase all trace of humans on the galaxy so the Covenant's religion and its empire didn't collapse, but they failed. Humanity never gave up, it fought to the last man in every world the Covies showed up and the Elites & other species began to question why the war was worth it given the human worlds they conquered had little to no artifacts.
another fact is that the Elites began to admire humans for their tenacious resistance against all odds and questioned why they weren't invited to join the empire. brutes were mindless drones and easy to manipulate.....the perfect cannon fodder for corrupt politicians-
@FrostyWheats He covered it in the video. The Elites were intelligent, cunning, and capable of seeing through the Prophets' bullshit whereas the Brutes were dumb, dogmatic, and easy to control. At the beginning of the war, Truth needed the Elites because they were good tacticians and they had the loyalty of the Grunts more than the Brutes. However, as the war went on and the UNSC's fleet was whittled away, sound tactical strategy was becoming less and less important because the Covenant so heavily outnumbered the UNSC in terms of naval power. Truth needed slaves, not thinkers, by 2551, so he set the stage for the Brutes to take over as the Covenant's main military force instead of the Elites. Furthermore, the Heretic in the Flood facility on Threshold was a major problem because he was broadcasting his doubt and his doubt was reinforced by Guilty Spark, an Oracle.
TL;DR: At the end of Halo 2, the Arbiter listened to reason and changed his mind with Spark's evidence whereas Tartarus had cognitive dissonance about the truth of Halo and remained religiously loyal to the Prophets. Thel and the Elites were a threat to the Prophets whereas Tartarus and the Brutes were not.
Angry Leprechaun I’m asking for evidence *before* 2552 or 2551. Also, Arbiter and Rtas were so blind in their faith before, and even during, the schism I doubt two of the most respected and political elites would have voiced discontent against the covenant which means others probably wouldn’t have said anything either. And because Elites follow the will of their leaders without question (see the shipmaster who tried to infect his own ship with flood), there would be zero dissent in the ranks.
Additionally, I don’t recall seeing any explicit examples of Elites questioning their religion besides the Heritic on the Threshold Gas Mine which happened *after* the brutes started killing elites on Earth. True, there may have been instances where an Elite questions the reasoning behind Humanity’s extinction, we don’t see any Elite, let alone a high ranking one, turn against the foundations of the Covenant. I don’t think they’re smart enough to put two and two together unless explicitly told by a monitor.
I haven’t read Contact: Harvest in a very long time but was there not a Brute or at the very least a Grunt and Huragok that wanted to try snd induct Humanity into the Covenant? Didn’t their ship’s luminary recognize Humans as artifacts left behind by the Forerunners, the very thing that damned their religion? At that point, shouldn’t the brutes have been purged for the fear of them realizing the truth behind Humanity?
With the war so close to being over with a Covenant victory, why take the chance of turning on the Covenant’s best fighting species? Give me a *real* reason for the schism instead of “elites smart, brutes dumb” because to be honest its a cop out and doesn’t hold water.
Strike One redundant when the war would’ve been over in literally a few months. Also, see my other reply about dissent in the Elite’s ranks. The Heretic was the only example and did not waiver the resolve of any high ranking elites. If there was no betrayal, the war wouldve been over without an Elite rebellion
@FrostyWheats Leaders killing and deposing their subordinates because they feared them is nothing new. Hitler had the SS and Gestapo kill the SA and Stalin killed a shitload of his good generals when he came to power. They did this because they feared their subordinates would turn against them and these subordinates had the ability and clout to do so. Coming back to Halo, Truth said just before his death "your kind never truly believed in the promise of the Sacred Rings" to the Arbiter. Truth knew the Elites betraying him was only a matter of time because when it turned out The Great Journey was a load of shit, many humans were Reclaimers, thus disproving their religion, and the Elites got sick of the Prophets sending them to die, the Elites would no longer feel any obligation to the Prophets and kill them. The Brutes, on the other hand were like the SS, Gestapo, and Stalin's dumb generals: They could be controlled with the right propaganda. In every revolution the smart people get purged first because they can actually fight back through skill and arguments and the Prophets' arguments were beginning to wear thin. Thus, Truth set up events to justify killing the Elites before the Elites could betray him and the other Prophets. While that may not have happened for many years, Regret dying at the hands of John was a juicy opportunity to expedite his agenda.
9:10
Master Chief wears Mjolnir and now he will wield Mjolnir too
It turns out that The UNSC Home Fleet fared extremely well before Truth’s fleet arrived. They sustained very few casualties in regards to fleet and orbital defenses. After Truth arrived with a bigger fleet, then it got hairy.
The High Prophet of Truth knew that the Great Journey was a fallacy but employed this ploy to further his consolidation of power in the Covenant power hierarchy; he was devilishly and intelligently Machiavellian.
On my opinion he's the best villain in the whole Halo series .

Theory: Prophet of Truth’s personality change from Halo 2 to 3 could at least partially explained his body and mind slowly being corrupted by the flood spores he had breathed in earlier.
That's not really possible. The Flood's attack on High Charity was just only in it's early stages when Truth travelled to the Keyship in the centre of High Charity, so there's no way he would've breathed in Flood spores inside the Phantom he was on. But interesting theory. But if you ask me, I think Truth was getting more mad with power and his true colors began to reveal itself in Halo 3 since Mercy and Regret had died and no one could've replaced him as Hierarch.
Tamás Pákey I’m still confused of how flood controlled his voice in the end and gave him tentacles.
@@dr.catherineelizabethhalse1820 That was because he was infected by a Flood spore during the part when the Flood, Chief and Arbiter worked together against the remaining Covenant Loyalists. The Gravemind slowed down the infection process on purpose so that Truth could suffer and witness his plans fall apart. Sadistic, but Truth fucking deserved it.
@@dr.catherineelizabethhalse1820 i'd say the voice change was to appeal to the more brutish brutes and yeah flood spores are trash, Miranda keys should be in quarantine zone screeching but the o holy plot armor stopped that
@@higrunt9844 i would say that halo's weather system was keeping spores from spreading & the sentinels did battle/ keep them in place for 100k years.
for 100k years for spores to build up? the outside looked relitivly spore free. only inside deep internal spaces there would have been spores, places Miranda would not have gone through granted humanities reclaimer status.

Thanks for answering my question with this theory. Sure does fill some holes. Now here's another hole to fill:
Literally 2 minutes after Regret left New Mombasa, Gunnery Sgt Edward Buck & ONI-Section-1 Captain Veronica Dare have a peculiar conversation:
-----
*_BUCK:_*_ Veronica, what's with all the dead Elites?_
*_DARE:_*_ What do you mean?_
*_BUCK:_*_ It's like a family feud, like they were killed by Brutes. Is there something I should know?_
*_DARE:_*_ It's classified._
*_BUCK:_*_ Huh, Some things never change._
-----
From this, we understand that Captain Veronica Dare has knowledge of the Great Schism. But there's a problem with this fact......
ODST takes place on October 20th. But the Great Schism began on November 2nd.
How can Dare have prior knowledge of the Great Schism before it even happens nearly 2 weeks in advance?
It's probably because she wanted him to stay focused on the task at he and and didn't want him thinking about a secondary thing while fighting for his life. That and she's a spook so it's probably second nature for her to say that. The reason I think this is because soldiers are trained a certain way and it's probably second nature for him to not care when she says it's classified. So that's probably why it would've kept him focused
perhaps the brutes killing the elites on earth was just a small conflict between the two and word had not reached high charity yet or maybe a planned attack to prevent a stronger alliance between the humans and elites were truth to order the elites to be killed while they were still occupying Earth.
ONI... is ONI. These guys were already on genetically altering the food the elites eat to make their home world sick and die just after the war ended lol.
Well when you see brute spikes inside of elites and plasma burns on brutes you can probably put two and two together..of course it would have to go deeper than this to announce that there is a schism. When it comes to taken place two weeks in advance though I believe it probably took place two weeks earlier on earth and connections were cut between the elites on earth. After the arbiters mission the true schism started. If not any of the above it probably was just subtly homage to halo fans.
Well in truth ( *wink wink* ), those Elites were left behind after Regret left Earth in Halo 2 . While the majority of the Covenant and High Charity travelled to Delta Halo, Truth ordered his secret fleet of Brutes to attack Earth and kill all Elites, no one knew of this because everyone was focusing on the events of Delta Halo, so Truth had the opportunity to kill all Elites on Earth and start his digging for the portal to the Ark on Earth .
What’s this “uneven elephant”?
rjcass33 Looks like two squids kissing... haha.
Truth almost had Earth location over Regret with the Cole Protocol events too
That last part. That was funny, and as always, your work is breathtaking. Great and informative.

You seriously deserve more subscribers. You Halo channel is phenomenal.
What did the UNSC screwed up in the battle of Earth in Halo 2 that saw the lost of so many ships against only 12 ships that made them out right defenseless in space during Halo 3?
Truth brought a MUCH larger fleet plus the forerunner dreadnaught
@@EBarracuda
No in battle tactics.
What the UNSC should of done was pull their ships behind the orbital mac guns and use them to take out the Covenant attack pods this would force the Covenant to entire the kill zone with all orbital defenses operational and the UNSC would have lost far less ships.
@@thorshammer7883 That's not how naval tactics work. What you'll end up having is the covies targeting the platforms while the UNSC ships remaining out of range to return fire. What real world fleets do is send in the smaller ships out to screen the enemy and keep them away.
@@TheLastSterling1304
They said mutiple time in the lore orbital mac guns had longer range then Covenant ships so there is no excuse they should have set their ships behind the orbital guns to protect them from the pods.
@@thorshammer7883 What I'm saying is that once the covie ships enter firing range they will target the mac guns before the unsc ships. IT's a delaying action by sending in the fleet to keep the enemy as far away from the mac guns for as long as possible. What's to stop the covies from just going full speed ahead if the unsc just holds back their ships?
Even in our own naval histories, a screening of tiny destroyers could effectly keep even battleships away.
The argument of keeping the ships back is the same logic of hiding the infantry behind the artillery.
That was awesome with your clip at the end.
That End Scene xD got me good.

A little late to the party watchin this video but awesome vid, I knew that halo ODST was part of halo 2 and kept wondering why we didn’t fight the elites in ODST, I’ve watched videos and viewed blogs but the information was scattered and wasn’t in depth so it didn’t make sense, thanks to u I fully understand and I’m very relieved to get these questions out of the back of my mind
Hold up Installation 00, I thought Truth knew about Earth’s location way back in 2535, 17 years before The Battle of Earth began.
Remember the events in The Cole Protocol? Truth’s plan to learn Earth’s location was to use modified Covenant weaponry sold to Insurrectionists by the Kig-Yar and track their destinations.
It seemed that he already knew Earth’s location through this, and built an invasion force with the Unggoy colony that was being prepped to take over the main habitat in The Rubble. This would then go into slipspace with Earth’s coordinates.
The Unggoy colony was meant to tie luse ends to destroy the Rubble, not to destroy Earth.
Regret unintentionally spiked that plan before it could come to fruition.
Good thing Sergeant Johnson and John-117 discovered the Unyielding Hierophant and the latter stopped such a massive fleet. Earth would not have stood a chance.
As well as Regret foolishly rushing to Earth and getting his ass handed to him. 🙃
The Prophet Of truth was the most deceptive. The prophet of mercy was the one that was shown no mercy. And the prophet of regret doesn’t regret smacking that dang chair.
That ending was epic. I spit out my drink from laughter when Thor and Loki looked down.
Truth had a problem with regret!!..jumping the gun like that!!
Regret was liability in Truth's plans to replace the Elites with the Brutes. Also Regret was rash and arrogant so that would've ruined Truth's calculated plans.
I almost spit my drink at the end, I wasn't expecting that
One of the many things I admire about you, your videos, and your channel is your professionalism. Keep on keeping on man!
Great video man, would you make a video about the actual strategy Truth had to achieve his goals? I think many would like to know more because what happens in Halo 2 is quite strange: the Covenant basically start a civil war because of his choice to replace the Brutes with the Elites, was it his plan from the beginning or it just gone out of hand? What was the purpose of activating Delta Halo? Did he know that he would have destroyed the Flood, the Humans and the Elites all at the same time? If it's like that, he's a bloody genius.
🤣 Best crossover teaser I’ve ever seen 🤣

“I am TRUTH the voice of the covenant!!”
"And so you must be silenced"
*"AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHH!"*
What I don’t fully grasp is why Truth went forward with trying to activate the Halo array despite seemingly knowing that it was just a mass suicide mission. He sought power and control over all else, yet after achieving that position he simply decides to kill himself and everyone else? Was he just doubling down on The Great Journey despite not believing it so as to avoid potentially losing his power and looking stupid in the future? It always confused me because, assuming he was able to subdue humanity, why would he desire to activate the rings and essentially kill himself when he’s got the position of a lifetime and knows there is no god-hood to be gained?
yea same
Support the ark is outside of the galaxy, so it wouldn’t be affected by the firing. Also he and the brutes would be the only species left in the galaxy, giving him full control.
You live in an empire of religious fanatics and live your entire life believing that something is true, then you receive information that everything you believe in is wrong. So you dismiss this information and, through the power of mental gymnastics, convince yourself that this is just a test of faith. Surely hundreds of years of research and devotion wasn’t wasted. Surely our destiny is to join our idols as their equals. Right?
Of course Truth knew the truth ( no pun intended ) about the Halo Array, the reason he went to the Ark was because he knew that the Ark is out of range so he and the Covenant on the Ark would not be harmed, by the blast. Also he would've done the same thing the Librarian did after the first firing of the Halo Array, he would reseed or create new life in the galaxy and rule it as a god.
I know this question is kinda unrelated to this video and maybe a bit random, but what would happen if the Covenant or the UNSC were to discover a Black Marker from Dead Space?
lol the ending was good
I never knew chief became a god Slayer.
Kinda funny if Truth hadn’t betrayed the Sangheili the Covenant could’ve won
WOULD HAVE WON. Humanity only one thanks to the help of the elites.
Lovable Airhead Mile Nah it wouldn’t say it’s a definite. Especially with the Flood teaming up with Chief at the end. The Elites likely would’ve retreated back to Sangheilios and allow humanity to continue to fight the Covenant.
Now I know why there were dead elites that I didnt kill in ODST
For a brick he flew pretty good
It's official: Master Chief is Hela.
That end was funny of no god could defeated Chief.😎😂❤️👍
Are Forerunner Hardlight beams mainly for cutting then having a explosive force like Turbolasers do in Star Wars the Expanded Universe?
No actually hard light was used in just about everything they the forerunners had. Even the different classes used hard light for everything from simple buildings bridges and such to full blown weapons. Hardlight was a major part of their life style and weapons because of how durable it can be etc.
@@yulfine1688
And how much destructive force can it pact?
@@thorshammer7883 well that seems to depend. I'm not a full expert on hardlight but defensively it was able to block a planet destorying nuke. Its able to withstand a hit from the infinity mac rounds at max power however that seems to depend on the energy its given and so forth. So I will imagine it's much more complex than we know of. But also is considered a feasible idea to exist in our world. Probably not in the same way as halo though lol
@@yulfine1688
In explosive force how woud they compare to weapons like Turbolasers in Star Wars Expanded Universe where they are said to be 200 gigatons per shot?
@@thorshammer7883 that's only in legends if one turbo laser produced that much force one shot to a planet would destroy the entire ecosystem and cause catastrophic events on the planet. One unsc mac round currently has enough force from the pre covenant war unsc ships to basically make a planet like earth more than just uninhabitable for the most part. The kinetic force doesn't sound like much its more of the shockwave etc. Think of it basically being stronger than the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs if you still believe in that theory. Well probably killed all their food and some of them and the planets ecosystem or a large part of it. To Completely eradicate our moon from something like the death star it has to out put more than 20 petatons of energy to overcome the magnetic field of our moon etc. For earth it was a few hundred petatons of force to basically tear apart our magnetic field and rip the planet into dust and debris that would take billions of years or more to reform. However if we go off what is said about something like the covenant glassing vs the orbital bombardment they are considered similar in terms of power. The orbital bombardment is more kinetically destructive vs the more energy and heat based damage and shockwave of the plasma. So the orbital bombardment is technically more destructive to the planet in a sense. While the plasma basically eradicates everything from the force of the blasts and turning the planets surface into glass. We also know both of them are able to be reversed after sometime and when proper funding and technology. They both also take different amounts of time depending on how many ships and weapons are present and what type of weapons. The covenant can be a little faster since they can use their entire arsenal to basically glass the planet rather than just the turbo laser shots. I actually communicated with another individual about the topic between the two explaining the force of the turbolasers or it was you and I have forgotten lol. In any case from what it seems like the turbo lasers have a few hundred megatons of force and high powered ones are in the low gigaton range. For the most part ships of similar classes are very much almost the same in terms of power with even the star destroyers not being anything too impressive mathematically. Of course the gas used for the red bolts is considered a cheap low quality weaker gas. So using something more powerful obviously changes those numbers a decent amount. The death star is clearly able to out put hundreds to thousands of petatons of force to destroy planets. maybe even a few ten thousand. While star killer base is able to do probably a few hundred thousand to millions of petatons for destroying multiple planets. They also use very large and lively stars to fuel the weapon. So I mean that itself is not that surprising. If we Compare a deathstars to anything that's not forerunner and up. Deathstar super laser is superior. The biggest thing is range. It seems star wars range is much smaller than halos weapons. Meaning the covenant can just attack outside of range for a decent amount of time. Now shielding is a hard one to measure. Very difficult actually I honestly have no good answers there. Covenant shielding is impressive and is probably comparable to mon calamari shielding. Going to the out reaches of space for star wars changes a bit as well. While halo once you put anything from the forerunners to star wars..now you're just overshooting the mark way more than needed. Not only are the forerunner far more advanced than both but their shielding and armor is also far superior. Their ship sizes are massive and maneuverable and fast still despite that. Their weapons are much more effective as well and more than likely any of their weapons wouldn't have a hard time to one shot much of anything from star wars or halos lower races. Obviously the point defense and light turrets wouldn't do that. I mean actual warship weapons'. Just the cruisers main weapons were able to shred a halo which is basically earth sized better I would say better build in a sense to pieces in a very short amount of time. Many times faster than star wars or halos lower races..with just 4 of those mind you and 4 ships. Something like the mantles approach probably is similar to the deathstar capable of just annihilating planets stars and so forth. Wish we knew more about the forerunners weapons etc but we really don't know much and some numbers aren't even accurate its whats guessed. So I would say star wars is very much similar to the covenant in all fields. Of course ground wise the covenant has a major advantage when youd need sith lords and jedi to keep up with elites and spartans..and to be honest canonically speaking they probably couldn't do to well. However legend speaking well now you're blowing anything out of the water though lets all be honest..its far from the case..so canonically speaking id say jedi and elites are similar when the jedi and sith use the force to boost themselves. Now I don't know if canonically they jedi can actually boost themselves to the point of elites to be 100% honest I would doubt it only in legends do we see those types of feats. Ground wise covenant would probably win without much issue. Navy wise the covenant do have the range advantage and so would the unsc. So I mean it would be difficult for star wars to really do well at all in space wars. Id assume any anti ship weapon would probably one shot eachother..though from turbolasers are more like rapid fire cannons..so I don't know honestly. The shielding of the covenant I think has the edge there against their weapons for being able to take some actual hits. IT also seems they are not very accurate either among other things. So I mean it just seems like star wars in general is not exactly all too amazing when you actually look at it. And putting them in our universe to fight...well the laws here don't function the same in either of the two scifi realms..so many things wouldn't really work and others would..things like the force wouldn't exist etc..much of star wars in general if not all of it wouldn't function because its fantasy it wasn't meant to function In a more realistic environment.
to be completely honest this is all speculation we really don't know we can only go off what we can figure out and then go from there we would have to actually have them exist and fight to really see what would happen and know for sure. If we give star wars more legends based lore then they are above humans and covenant..its just that if that were the case then nothing really would or can make sense..
That ending tho
