Der Vollmond strahlt auf Bergeshöhn - Wie hab ich dich vermißt! Du süßes Herz! es ist so schön, Wenn treu die Treue küßt. Was frommt des Maien holde Zier? Du warst mein Frühlingsstrahl! Licht meiner Nacht, O lächle mir Im Tode noch einmal! Sie trat hinein beim Vollmondschein, Sie blickte himmelwärts; "Im Leben fern, im Tode dein!" Und sanft brach Herz an Herz.
Fantastic! I was just looking for a clip to post on Facebook with a little text I wrote about the shambolic premiere of the play “Rosamunde.” Katherine Montgomery’s perf (Gustav Kuhn, RIAS Sinfonietta) on an old Pro Arte record is the gold standard, IMHO, but Deniz Uzun is clearly going to have a brilliant career!
Whoa! Ein persönliches Antwort habe ich nicht erwartet! Here’s what I wrote about you in my post: “German-born Deniz Uzun wrings the last drop of credible emotion from von Chézy’s loopy lyrics and Schubert’s haunting melody.” You have a fan for life, plus maybe a few more, drawn from the ranks of the 5 or 6 FB friends who read my posts all the way to the end…
The_late_Buddy Ryan Thanks a lot, I'm literally blushing. This concert meant a lot for me, it was my last one before I left Bloomington Indiana. A lot of nostalgia is in this, it's already two years ago. You're welcome to get a ticket to a performance of mine if you happen to come to Zurich! All my best wishes to you.
You are so amazing ! I am a fan of yours . I am doing this piece for my recital ( I am a first year student). I found translation, but it is hard to express any emotions in this song. What would you suggest ? Thank you in advance .
+Rina Lernic thank you very much for your comment. Congrats on singing this beautiful (not easy) piece already as a first year student! You should know every sinlge word, translate everything. Then I would try to say this "poem" in my own words in my mother tongue. Know the background of this song, the music is originally written for a play by Helmina von Chezy called "Rosamunde". I hope this will help you, I wish you all the best.
❤❤❤❤❤❤

Zürich, eh? We may be headed in that direction one day soon, but prolly only as far as Paris or Provence… Also, bis Ihr Metdebüt! Beste Glückwünsche!

Tebrikler Deniz ! Tabii ki henüz bir Anne-Sofie von Otter değil ama umarım o raddeye de ulaşacaksın. Tekrar tebrikler ve yol uzun...
Anne Sophie von Otter ile karşılaştırılmak büyük bir onur. Ondan iki tane yok! Yaşasın bireysellik :)
