@@Auoless Jalen is only averaging low 20s cuz of porzingis joining & Tatum taking most shots. If Jaylen played for Utah or the bulls he would average 25+ easily
Mikel bridges is a great number 2. They need a star too be that number 1. If ben Simmons can ever become what we expected which was the next LeBron then he would of been the number one option. But since it doesn't look like that's gonna happen I think ethier Cam Thomas or Cam Johnson will have to develop into that or they trade for one.

Jacque Vaughn gotta be one of the worst coaches in the league and nets fans will tell you constantly that we don’t know why he got rewarded a head coach job for going 18-2 during last season. Like bro who does that?? I want us to honestly stack up picks for the future cause idk what we going to do trade wise. I feel like it’s way more sustainable and if we trade mikal to rockets for some of our picks back and some young potential players I think it would be a good deal. Definitely want to move dfs,Royce and dinwiddie. As for clax I’m not sure how the nets feel about giving him 20+ a million when he basically has plateaued his game so far this season. Cam Thomas has been inconsistent and mikal has been the same. I feel like Thomas has lost his confidence the past few games due to bricking and being out of the starting lineup but he’s young and I got faith he will bounce back. The coaching and front office has constantly failed this team and changes need to happen big time.
I don’t think this means that Mikal is their intended number one option. I believe this means that he’s the only untouchable player on the team. There’s plenty of rumors surrounding them trying to trade for Donovan Mitchell, should he be available. My belief is that the Nets think they have any set of assets that they need to build a good team through trades and sell it to stars with Mikal being part of that selling point, and part of that foundation. Anyone else on the team is available if it’s the right sort of trade they’re looking for.
This is the right answer. Nets don’t truly see Mikal as a #1 but he is a star magnet to attract FA’s around the league. The Nets want to keep him as a foundational peace, and pair him with a star, that’s basically all that the quote from WOJ meant.

Bridges isn’t true number option in real life. Bridges is a poor mans version of prime Andre Iguodala. Which isn’t a bad thing but he’s a 2nd or 3rd.
