I live within spittin' distance from the BMS I was there both years for the dirt races. Neighbors within a 5 mile radius were sweeping 3in of red clay off their cars. Our area is rich in racing history. BMS, Kingsport Speedway, Bulls Gap, Beach Nut, Muddy Creek MX, and so many more. We still race for the sport, not the business. "Bring It out and Ring It out"

I remember back in the 60's when I was a child,NASCAR used to race on both dirt and asphalt tracks. Those are the days I would like to see NASCAR revisit.Today, once a year, the NASCAR truck series races at Eldora. It is called the Eldora dirt derby.33 trucks on that 1/2 mile track.Stuff goes sideways on that track, quick. Those are the days when Bill Gazaway helped run the show.
