That thing takes over indeed, at least you have a bigger space for it. I prune mine because my garden is so small, I'm scared something scary might hide under the leaves 😂😂 it looks like my garden gets visited by animals at night & they always make sure to leave evidence like poop or just weird smells. It's a scary experience that gives me anxiety😭
Beautiful butternut!! Do you let bees pollinate for you or you hand pollinate??? The bees that visit my garden are useless, they only love nasturtium flowers & ignore my squashes. I always have to hand pollinate.
@@sonwabiso_joy 🤣🤣🤣 thank you so much... I tried the hand thing maybe I was too hard it didn't work. The bees helps me... try planting squash very close to the nasturtuim
@@simondesveggies But my squash is in & amongst 3 nasturtiums & 2 marigold , that's how useless these bees are. I've hand pollinated 3 squashes, there's 2 still coming up I'll see if the bees will pollinate them. I tend to worry if they'll be pollinated because the flowers open up for a few hours then die off.
I love that you don't give up and are positive ❤something good is bound to happen ❤
@@nomondemorapama4642 thank you very much lovie
Great video. I am considering container planting. Not sure what's wrong with my soil. Wishing you the best with your 2025 garden.
@@bloomwithKels thank you so much for your kind words. All the best with the container gardening.
Hi, great video, maybe try and get an environment ready for the predators of your current infestations? Flowers might help
@@DigItProtea I had roses but they didn't help much

My none expert advice, check your soil pH and possible lime application. If pH is low or high.
@@LesibanaMokonyama I must check it neh
