Here is some honest reality:
Spacetime does not exist.
Fields do not really exist, they are only math models.
There are NO attractive forces anywhere. Only elastic collisions between EM Dipole Particles called "Bożeons."
The Bożeons shape, size, surface area and moment of inertia describe all "EM Field" phenomena including "gravity" which is really "coalescence".
Coalescence in the vacuum and in "derivative particles like electrons" is caused by redirecting particle momentum via collisions between Vacuum Bożeons and Particle Bożeons. The problem is that we use Approximations as Constants. Approximations breakdown in extreme mathematical expressions because of exponential theory. Finding a truly representative constant is the real question. Approximations will only take us so far before we hit a wall.

A deeper dimension when particles are smaller and more energy dense than the LHC handles: the neutrinos that are in the Planck's scale in dimensions. Thus, the hyperbolic-tangent profile for the electron density in the sun, the solar neutrino, and survival probability.

Quantum mechanics and general relativy combines like cooking or combinations. You can't expect large amounts of combined materials behave the same as on small scale.
I do think the small and the big work the same, take a look to a DNA photograph found in you tube that is in most of my videos just click my logo to enter, the picture shows a sphere that to the right and left you may see an ARC that is light that refracts the sphere, the arc is identical to the one that quasars make. This same figure is found in the largests structure ever seen but realy they are just seen much less than half of the whole cake, find it in the video WE FOUND ONE OF THE LARGESTS STRUCTURES IN THE UNIVERSE SOUTH POLE WALL at time 3:18 - its in you tube. try to find same arc forms one to the north and one to the south just follow the green path or figure shown in there and you might figure it out, there are some others same patterns in the picture.

Dear Lisa, I woud like to add an alternative, and frankly more obvious, angle to this question: It seems to me that the question of quantum gravity is a really matter of invalid human reasoning that has been going on for 100 years now. The point is: In the subatomic dominated realm (say between atom nucleus and outer electron shell) we have simply never, ever seen any particle or object move according to the physics of spacetime. So then the obvious tentative base assumption from this, has to be that the subatomic area is not governed by spacetime to begin with (until proven otherwise) ..Now, since we define gravity as a contraction of spacetime it logically follows that there CANNOT be gravity at the subatomic scale, so neither is there any conceptual possibility for a 'quantum' version of it. It really is that simple. Put a bit differently: whenever we speak of 'particle duality' it is not the PARTiCLE itself, but its (subatomic) environment that displays dual settings. Thats why we see a particle's energy as being both a 'point' AND a 'grid/wave'. There is NOTHING wrong with the particles themselves, it is just that physics is intrinsically DUAL, something we never realized as a concept when we first discovered the QP world 100 years ago...We just kept going with the mathematics of QP and never looked back....
In slightly more detail: at the subatomic level the 4 continuum functions (Grid Clock Potential Inertia) and 4 measures (Space, Time, Energy, Mass) invert as ENERGY becomes the grid and Mass becomes clock in an geometrically orthogonal and compensating way. For example: 'energy' as the particle property of potential is ALWAYS accompanied by a equally great contraction of its 'Energy as the grid' surroundings of that same same particle. More precisely: it is the SPEED of mass that causes GRAVITY, not mass itself. This goes for fast moving galaxies in far away clusters (where we mis-interpret the extra speed as being caused by 'dark matter') but this also holds true for the speed of subatomic particles (e.g. electrons) which COLLECTIVELY cause the effect of radial spacetime contraction around a resting object we call 'restmass'...It is this dual compensating factor that we see in the Lorentz factor of special relativity , most prominently in the effect we call 'length contraction'. (yes gravity works primarily DIRECTIONAL)
As for the graviton; it is the conceptual inverse of the electron in this respect; both spin wise in contraction (gravity 1/ 1/2 = spin 2) and in its orthogonal spiraled bulging (resulting in spiraled -thus- quantized number windings of EM energy form the perspective of the ST observer) of the very same very physical fieldline (part of a string if you want) that is orthogonally contracted to form these orthogonal spirals (an effect known to be produced by mirco-singularities in relation to EM fieldlines) . The world of physics has a lot to catch up I am afraid.,..,,
Could quantum gravity go from string points in time to building inflation energy, then as inflation cools to forming graviton particles that when inflation ends build gravity attraction in space (space-time) of Hubble / cosmological constant energy density expansion after big bang?
The quanta of gravity is the graviton. The expanding graviton participates in quantum mechanics as the wave function. Wave functions, quantum systems, quantum entanglement are all "captured" gravitons. The graviton has a zero radius of x^2 + y^2 + z^2 - (ct)^2 = 0, which is the equation for an expanding sphere. When gravitons get large, they overlap and become part of the spacetime continuum.
Quantum photon is when linear oscillatory forces spiral along a sine transverse wave that packs a fixed amount of energy given by the formula E = h u; where E is the quantum, h is Planck's constant, and u is the wave frequency of light radiated. Quantum graviton must be similar though non-propagating, and should be a whorl of forces (quantum) that holds vacuum within the ring. There would be no oscillation in the zone of vacuum; like in the black hole. (Note that light is linear oscillatory in free space. Light force linear vector at 'c' would retrace its course due to an equal and opposite force creating the nodes of the sine transverse wave.) Electrons and their orbital shells are best described by their quantum numbers.
Everybody in the comment section seems to have unified quantum mechanics and has graciously shared their theory with us. Lisa is clearly an excellent scientist, and theoretical physicist, if any of you RUclips bums in the comment section actually had a brain you would have a sense of respect for her and what she’s saying. If you’ve never cared about science it’s hard to tell who the good scientists are, especially when you’d rather talk than learn.

I so wish I could have focused on math and science in my youth. The insights I have into gravity are worthless without being able to quantify them. I think I understand how Maxwell felt when he understood magnetism and electricity and how the two interacted and interrelated while not being able to quantify them. Instead of pursuing such an understanding, I took a detour to play rescuer to an errant sibling. I succeeded, at the great cost of my own happiness. I did however, gain an insight into how evil humans can be. It is the consolation, to failing at providing a gift to a humanity, that scarcely deserves any grace.

would it be far fetched to assume that the beginning of the universe starts in the future .... the arrow of time could be a factor of that assumption? if the big bang was time and space arriving together for the first time wouldnt a sphere be the result of its midpoint?

Two entangled photons p1 and p2, have a captured graviton between them. That graviton has quantum states for momentum, position, energy, etc between them. In theory, one could calculate the wave function of the graviton between the two entangled photons. But that's not important. What is important, is that use have a centrifuge system, with optical fiber that runs along the length of the radius of the centrifuge. If you can use the centrifuge system to blueshift the p1 photon and redshift the p2 photon, you can create a gravitational potential energy between the two photon. You might have to centrifuge p1 and p2 millions of times to get it strong enough to create a measureable gravity field.
Isn't quantize mass in essence quantize Gravity in the microscope world and is transverse in the macroscopic world as mass in ratio to gravity equivalent.
If physics is mathematics, then why do not the fundamental theories of physics resemble the foundations of mathematics? At some point, shouldn't physics and mathematics not just intertwine but converge? If one picks up a book on set theory, one sees "sets", "elements of sets", "not", etc. A physics book would find "vacuum energy", or "lepton" or .. I dunno..."Atwood's machine". In other words, never mind the graviton. Skip ahead to the part where we get John Wheeler's "It from bit!"

@@strategen9124 But mathematics is not real. It doesn't exist without us. It's just a language we make up bit by bit that we use to describe our environment. It has the advantage that its syntax is naturally based on the scientific method and you can't go off track in order to make it work. But to believe that it can make much sense of some of the more complex desires we have is somewhat silly. As more or less we use it and try to give validity, to bring proof that some of our fantasies are real. But is really like trying to make sense of a huge painting but only knowing a single point, a single pixel.
I mean, i could say that the multiverse theory is real, only that it refers to the same universe with an infinite time lines happening at the same time all being connected by something, maybe like something we perceive as gravity. Making it possible to have the perception of travel in to time when in fact you create different time lines. Idea that would also mean that time loops would have sense. And i'm sure that some parts of this fantasy may be tackled mathematically. That doesn't mean that we uncover true facts, that math is uncovered but rather that we adjust our "language" to say something new. And as long we can't prove it false then it's true. Thing is that is pretty difficult to prove something false if you don't know it as a whole. Like you can't say what the painter wanted to transmit, what feelings he had when he painted or what he wanted for the viewer to feel when all you have to base your response is just a dot.

In effect repulsive energy of inflation (maybe strings) turned into attractive gravity by formation of graviton particles that cool inflation into Hubble / cosmological constant energy density expansion of space?
Never understood why the hell to quantize something which is defined as the curvature of spacetime due to mass, and trying to find particles representing it. In this way we should also search for ''spaceton'' and ''timeton / chroniton'' particles as well. QFT so nicely managed to derive all particles from respective fields answering so many questions, and now we want to turn fields into particles?
Same here, may be Dr. Randall or any other PhD in Theoretical Physics, can give us some hint about the scientific basis of such approach. Would love to read or watch. Anyone out there?
Very dense stuff obeys general relativity. Very small stuff obeys quantum mechanics (more precisely QFT, which is the quantum mechanics of fields). What happens when you condense a lot of stuff (or energy) into a very small volume? Nobody knows. This would be quantum gravity.
A new theory of it is needed because quantum mechanics is blind to general relativistic effects and general relativity is blind to quantum effects. Like, according to QM you could condense an arbitrary amount of stuff into a small volume and it wouldn't even predict the formation of a black hole; likewise, general relativity doesn't even have the (mathematical) language to talk about entanglement and quantum superposition (all observed phenomena).
Caveat: there exists a theory called quantum field theory in a curved spacetime, but for some reason (which is not clear to me) it is not considered a sensible theory of quantum gravity. But Hawking used it to predict the "Hawking radiation" and evaporation of black holes (both just theoretical at this moment).
Looking for gravitons try investigating virtual particles. They fade out of detection possibly becoming part of th fabric of space, sort of how dew appears but can disappear as it lands in the soil. As we know warped space is gravity. :)

My theory for tying the perfect shoelace has been passed over in scientific circles but I still insist that it has potential. Its complex, but involves tying one loop, and then a second that's a little looser, then putting one shoelace through that hole to the opposite end and taking the other shoelace and putting it through to the opposite end, then pulling the "bunny ears" tight.

It's easier to think about the quantum mechanics of gravity by thinking about weaker phenomena like gravitational tidal heating. For instance, how do the geysers at the south pole of Enceladus work?
All matter started from the same point at the same time in the Big Bang event so all matter particles have a form of quantum entanglement that is actually instantaneous gravitational action in a non-local aspect with a local relativistic reaction in the observational aspect. See electrogravity.com
If there is a quantum unit of gravity, then gravity should behave similarly to the photoelectric effect. There should be an energy quantum threshold below which there is no gravity. In that realm there might be particles that have negative mass and move faster than the speed of light, such as the hypothetical tachyon. Does that make sense?
No. Photons can have arbitrarily low energies too and tachyons are just pure fictitious
@@mauijttewaal That doesn't answer my question. "Quantum" signifies a set value, at least in electrodynamics. A unit. Transistors have threshold values necessary to switch. Electrons have eV thresholds depending on the band that must be exceeded to ionize an atom. These are quantum values. If gravitons exist as quanta, there should be a value of threshold energy below which gravity does not couple (interact) with matter. If that threshold does not exist, then gravity is an analogue force with a supposed range of 0-infinity? If gravity is infinite it violates Conservation of Energy, the Second Law, etc., and perpetual motion is possible. Time itself is infinite. We're talking a Mobius Strip universe. Another point, "gravitons" were fictitious a couple of years ago. If you are not interested in having this conversation, please say so.
Doesn’t gravity depend on weight? The heavier or massive something is distorts space time? If I go from weightless in space to the weight of the Earth, will I have gravity and attract objects?

Could be gravity is string of information in the infinite vertical dimension, about the height / amplitude of quantum wave, which shoots zero point dimension of time forward (like bow shoots an arrow) as inflation in the quantum wave / field; then the information string vibrates (like the bow after shooting arrow) which in the quantum field could create particles and perhaps other things strings do. The fact that the quantum wave in a way acts like vibrating string could also be looked into. Similar to bow and arrow, an information string could grab the zero point dimension of time, then propel it forward for inflation.
We will have to 'Jump Through The Hoops' to understand how both co-relate(Quantum Mechanics and Physics ). Time/Nature has a funny was of deciding when they will reveal the next big breakthrough in Science. I guess, what I am trying to say is maybe we are not yet ready to understand the relation between both.

She was just aware that for most people (including physicists) it is typically very difficult to grasp sophisticated scientific concepts without spending years of training, so for a non-physicist even remembering by heart that "the photon is the force-carrier of the electromagnetic field" is a good job (without sarcasm).

We can't find gravitons, but gravity is everywhere, it could be entire universe is a giant gravity particle. I thought about it when researching particles core, there is no core, only electromagnetic phenomena all the way down. This got me thinking, EM fields might be a layer over gravitational field, like a foreign stuff from another world enforced into homogeneous gravity void. Gravity try to expel EM fields, that's why force is fragmented into particles and those create lumps of matter, appearing as space time.
If newton hadn't burned some of his alchemical writings science would maybe have found that nature is so simple it's hard to believe

Not so sure about his writing, he wrote Principia for bragging right, he told his friends he got a good theory, but misplaced his equations somewhere and he had to write them again. it's a brilliant work, no doubt about it, but origins of his ideas are kinda mystery and it's not clear how he came to those conclusions.
I don't think nature is simple, ideas might be easy to postulate, except reality is way more complicated than that. Newtons was no idiot, he wrote a book about principles for a good reason or he would call them laws. There was no way to test his ideas on a large scale hundreds of years ago, i'm sure he would add to them or even change his mind if he could see a modern world.

... 2 base particles and one force are all that is needed to model a stretchy lattice with quantised matter and energy.... matter (free, travelling cells and probably the holes left behind form a compressed/stretched vibrating lattice warp) concentrated -ve charge away from voids, compacting the space locally. Voids expand as they lose -ve charge.
for me, gravity is a newtonian phenomena. the less matter there is the more aether there is and vice versa. So gravity is a pressure mediation of the aether which is the electro magnetic field or the result of it being time and space
I wonder if some others aren't right in that we maybe should stop looking for only "pretty" solutions. Despite the unreasonable effectiveness of math, maybe things don't all connect the way that appeals to us. The Universe is not dependent on pleasing us. We even might not be smart enough to go much farther.

Is it possible that the force of gravity comes from the spinning of particles? It seems to me that spin can create an attractive force. Protons, neutrons, etc spin (likely extremely fast) and perhaps that’s the “strong force” which holds atoms together? The aggregate of all of these spinning particles gives-off this force to attract other atoms. Since more mass equals more gravitational pull, it might be because objects with more mass have more spinning atoms, thus having more pull. Also, I wonder if the negative and positive charges are due to the direction of their spin.
I am afraid this idea needs a few more details... You just presented a simple idea, which can be as good as any other! You know, something like: "it seems to me as if the color of my jacket, is influencing the fuel consumption of my neighbours car..." Well, maybe... but you have to come up with a theory, which gives a few details and some kind of a framework...

Higs bozon accounts for 2% of gravity. The reast is created by kinetic/potential energy of 3 quarks that make up a proton as all three quarks are spinning really fast generating gravity. Is there anything else?

We have to keep finding ways to test promising theories and with disciplines like QFT & it's hugely successful spin-offs CMP, solid state etc and more astronomical discoveries & research, things are developing every other day.

Spacetime does not exist. Fields do not really exist, they are only math models.
There are NO attractive forces anywhere. Only elastic collisions between solid EM Dipole Particles called "Bożeons."

So understanding the unknown mathematics cannot help because we work in physical dimensions and relate to mathematics. But to answer your question: just because an influence is weaker the further away you are, doesn’t mean that it is immediately too weak.
The earth is rather massive. The speed which something would have to be going (relative to the earth) to escape earth’s gravity well, if it was starting near the surface of the earth, but without air resistance, is rather high.

The idea is that a more general theory than Einstein's would treat gravity as a quantum field instead of a curvature in spacetime.

GREAT GIRL!! Her key phrase--*"provided these theories are correct."* Yeah...and one of them is obviously flawed. The Newtonian physics Einstein was hobbled by relies only upon gravity (by far the weakest of the four known forces) as data input and completely ignores Electromagnetism (by far the most powerful force) altogether. The 4th state of matter, Plasma (charged ions), is unimaginably powerful with Birkeland currents spanning not only galaxies but CLUSTERS of galaxies.
I for one am convinced any real future progress will stem from Interdisciplinary study and cooperation. If the Astrophysicists would consult Electrical Engineers and Plasma field scientists more knowledge would be revealed in a week than in the last 100 years.

According to QFT (quantum field theory), there are no "forces" at a fundamental level: there are just fields, which have certain manifestations called quanta or particles. Some of those fields, the gauge fields, are interpretable as "forces". Now, the metric tensor of general relativity (the thing that determines the curvature of spacetime) is a field, so in a QFT description it should have its own quanta.
Quantum entanglement suggests the existence of a quantum field. We may discover there's more computational information there than in our own reality, a quantum dimension so to speak.

It is hard for me to tell quite what you meant, but what you said brings to mind the way people use “dimension” to mean the sci-fi idea, instead of like, the actual mundane idea which is used in science.

It's ironic, Einstein, probably the greatest scientific mind to ever live, was complaining about the dissonance between the two pillars of physics before he died. Now, decades after his death we realize he was right. Something is missing. My guess is we need to to reconceptualize the idea of Entropy. Einstein wasn't taken seriously until the great Irish physicist John Bell and his great work on Bells Inequalities. It wasn't until Bell that we realized that, quantum mechanics, as currently constructed, points to certain fundamental ideas that clearly must not be fundamental if quantum mechanics is indeed true (realism or locality). Locality or Realism, one of the two, is not fundamental to nature. Either choice is scary and forces us to reconceived of what reality really is, lest we fall into silly tautologies.
Einstein showed that the speed of light is actually the speed of causality. He also showed us that the inverse squads law HAS to be true - Newton didn't do this, there are arbitrary parameters (Ed Witten, in an interview with the same interviewer goes into this in greater detail). The real question is were these constants of nature ALWAYS like this (speed of light, Planck's constant etc) or were these constants fundamentally different at the beginning of the early universe.
The problem - and Einstein, again, saw this before anybody else - is that gravity is so incongruous to all of the other known forces (weak, strong, EM etc). It cannot be quantized. Einstein realized as early as 1935 when he predicted quantum entanglement and wormholes (different papers, same year) that gravity couldnt be quantized and if gravity isnt subject to the rules of quantum mechanics then either gravity is emergent (and not fundamental) or that quantum mechanics is not fundamental but rather a statistical approximation we use to compensate for a lack of information (similar to what statistical mechanics and Boltzmann does for gases).
100 years later and we still dont know lol. Entanglement is the key to the puzzle but we are only now scratching the surface.
String theory may hold the key but if it cant be tested empirically then we are back to where we started.
There will be a time when we will know that you can "understand" it but never know it for real because we cannot perceive dimensions other than our own limited ones for physical survival.
We understand the realm of the physically inaccessible only through theory. Physical theory can be validated or invalidated only through physical experimentation.

Gravity, Electro Magnetic field and light are all made from the same quant. That is why polarized light bends in magnetic field. A photon can travel at the speed of light or 0. In gravity the speed of the photon is 0...and the photons make an "net" that everything "sticks" to. Light bends in gravity because reacts with "gravity photons" that are fixed like a net in the gravity field (yes the warping of space thing....but this is quantified warped space OOOOK). It must be that way. Because of this graviton has very small energy and cannot be detected.....but....if it is knocked out the gravity web it can be detected...this can explain why photons from the sun can "push" the earth 1kg even though they have 0 mass...because they have mass of 1 graviton.....pilot wave is just a wave of gravitons...
time slows down with speed because "static" gravitons get energy with speed and slow everything down...even a thought is a chemical process with moving molecules so everything slows down...that is why the two observers will se the speed of ight the same. the amount of energy that graviton receives is equal to the time dilation. Static graviton gets the energy exactly so the both observers will see the same speed of light because of the time dilation....this can only happen if the light, graviton and photon is the same particle ....
How to prove this experimentally.... if a object in space radiates strong light and magnetic field it must "steal" gravitons, ....because photons and gravitons are the same particle and mater cannot be created from nothing ... the mass of that object will get smaller....measure it and it will weight less.
