these plastic pots are great. They´re cheap, they give you an idea of how it´ll look like in a ceramic pot and they´re deep enough so they don´t slow down the growth too much. I know, as a beginner you usually want instant results but patience is one of the most important thimngs in Bonsai. You can get a nice ceramic pot when the tree is more refined. I grow my young mame and shohin bonsai in joghurt cups, cream cheese packages and noodle soup cups. They get nice pots when they´re more refined.

Dear Peter, I constantly, in any of my free time, watch your videos and am delighted with your professionalism, for which I am very grateful to you. But I really do not have enough information about what to do after the formation of bonsai. Can you please pay more attention to the maintenance of the bonsai, especially at the period of the first pruning of the branches and roots of the plant. Should the plant be kept in the shade during the first period after pruning, how often should it be watered? Usually, each plant has its own watering and light conditions, does these water and light conditions change when the plant is transformed into bonsai? It often happens that the plants suffer and I do not know if I overflowed with water or did not have enough water, did I remove a lot of roots or did something else go wrong? What other problems may be due to which the plant can dry out?

Peter, how did you know? Just today my daughter and I were struggling with a multi-branch conifer. Thank you for your demonstration!

I'm going to a garden center on Monday. I may pick up a Cypress, Juniper or Cryptomeria Japonica. I used to do Bonsai but not much went right - including wiring. So I sort of stopped.

I appreciate the video, but one suggestion would be to set the camera more to the side. Half the time you're standing directly between the tree and the camera.
