This guy's cruising down the ""Lowlands"" of the Panhandle--Off the Caprock; He is going down historic US 83, which begins in my hometown, Harlingen Tx., goes through the True Hill country, into the Shamrock lowland, into OK, Kansas, S & N Dakota to Disappear in Manitoba, Canucklandia.
I remember a 70 something year old African American told me a story about a ranch near there. He said , a African American man was working and he stumbled upon some Gold coins in a old ravine, Gulley, etc. He called the Boss Man and told the African American worker," You better NOT say this to nobody or else! " I don't know if that was the Axtual land owner.
Nice quiet town,I got nothing but respect for it & the people while I stayed there.
