Very nice! BTW, if you have wifi at the gate (from your house) you can add a Wemo Maker (by Belkin) so that you can open the gate from your phone; regardless of whether you're in the house, at the gate or half way around the world. I've done this for mine and works great! You can still keep keypad and/or clicker so that you have multiple means by which to open the gate. Again, looks great!

I don’t use 16 foot gates on the farm, only 12 foot. There’s too much leverage on the post. Your post will start to lean because there’s too little in the ground also. You won’t be happy with the screw in hinges. The bolt through style with a nut on each side of the post are much better for adjusting the gate.

That is a horrible way to do concrete for a post hole. Alway mix the cncrete before pouring inot thebhole. That way you get even texture and proper moisture distribution and and even set. God that you had the hole wider at the bottom. That will change the centre of gravity and ensure wind and the weight of the gate doesn't eventually ruin the pole and make the gate 'sag". One other point is that if you char the wood that is gong to go beloe ground, before placing the post, it will last a lot longer. You didnt include the cost of the posts or where you got them

Not bad! I am looking into fencing in the back yard portion of our property and will be parking the cars behind the house and will need a gate like this. I just wish I could find help like what you had for digging the holes! Unfortunately, not many kids these days are willing to do that kind of thing anymore!

I'd this still available for $300?

Where is the price list? you can't do this for $300 Dollars unless you already had the components.
