Thank you for this. Over the years I have gravitated more towards my rising sign. Because I feel like regardless of where my Sun, Moon, or whatever is it will always come through with a Scorpio flare. My Mars, interestingly enough, is in Cancer trine my Scorpio rising. Which plays a much bigger role in my personality, and life, than I ever imagined.
@@KellysAstrology yes because I also have Taurus/Saturn in the 3rd house which made me have speech problems when I was younger and seeing Gemini now makes me improve my ability.
So...question. I have been listening to your lectures & your work on the astrology podcast...pretty much daily, for over a year now. (Before I go on, let me just say how grateful I am for all the work you all do. It's clear & concise, while also being truly in-depth. If I had the means, I would be taking all your classes right now. Unfortunately that's not financially possible for me for a time, so until then I am working hard to educate myself on the basics as best I can). In any case, to the point: I've heard all of you speak about the chart ruler (as in this video), but I have also heard you speak of sect. In your opinion, which planet holds more sway in the chart? For example, without giving away my entire birth chart, my rising sign is Scorpio (hence Mars would be my chart ruler, yes?)...however, I was born at night (which would suggest Saturn might hold sway as a malefic to be wary of), but on top of that, they are both conjoined in my first house, along with Pluto. So....who has the upper hand? Or would they have somewhat equal, though varied, importance when looking at one's chart? I understand that a chart ruler & ruler of sect are not the same thing, but I'm unclear as to the level of importance one would place on each. I'm using my own as an example, and perhaps I need a consultation for clear answers in this case, but am also wondering in general for other people's charts...how does one weigh the 'gravity' of a planet's importance natally? Thank you. :)
Namaste I am pisces 14 rising Jupiter ( and Mars Venus) is in 9th house Scorpio 26 degrees, by wholesign. By placidus mars Venus shifts to 8th house. I recently shifted to travel industry from banking. However due to this Corona thing, as you might be aware, travel trade has taken the greatest hit. No jobs , recession etc. So I was wondering on 9th house themes fructification in my chart.
I'm a very late Sagg rising, ascendant ruler, Jupiter is in Cancer 7th house (Placidus) but only has a trine aspect to the SN, does this make my ascendant ruler an unaspected planet, or does the SN/NN count also? My firdaria level 2 has just recently changed to Jupiter, but because of my natal Jupiter, I'm not sure if this is good or bad.
Jupiter in Cancer is wonderful! The house placement and aspects can influence that. For the nodes, I usually focus on a conjunction or the copresence (being in the same sign) rather than other aspects
Mine is mercury in the 8th, Gemini rising. Would you say mercury transits for me could be more significant then? Even though it’s a fast moving planet?
Thanks for the reminder, Kelly. I'm a Scorpio Rising/stellium. I have mars in the 8th(gemini). However, my natal Mars is retrograde. Is there anything I should take into account given my chart ruler is retrograde?
Sure - the usual insights re delays, moving more slowly, taking longer/more time than others/your peers to hit life milestones - be patient with yourself.
If I am ♏️ rising, with Pluto conjunct Mercury, would my focus on Pluto be more beneficial than Mars in the 12th/Libra? I’ve been trying to understand my Mars in ♎️, which is conjunct by sign to Sun and Venus in Libra, but I feel it’s difficult to harness my Martian qualities. Pluto, however, seems so rough and uncomfortable, but authentic for me. 🧐
The difficulty in harnessing your martian qualities may be due to Mars sitting in the 12th which is a house that makes any planet to not manifest in a patent way and the fact that Mars is in detriment in Libra. I’m also Scorpio rising with Mars in Libra in the 12th and I also feel like my martian qualities difficult to arise, the martian drive is definitely there but the will cannot be imposed in martian terms which could be frustrating

What's a star sign? What's an ascendant? What's a ruling planet? What's an ascendant sign? Why do you folks on RUclips throw these terms out there without any explanation? Before you use these unknown terms you should define them so people who are interested in learning about astrology can do so. Otherwise it's like you are speaking in a foreign language and no one can understand you. What are aspects of mercury? What is Scorpio ascendant? What does pisces rising mean? Grrr!!!!
Mind you all this information is being shared with us for free, be thankful, she doesn’t own you any explanation. Wow simply amazing!
Cancer rising with Moon on the first house ❤️ No wonder I choose "Moon" for my pseudonym's last name. It's a night chart on top of that!
Thank you that always confused me can you go through how the houses effect you Rising?
That's a great idea for a future video! Thanks so much

I am a sag rising with Pluto conjunction to my ascendant and my Jupiter is in Capricorn and that’s a debilitated placement is it bad?
Mine is mercury in the 8th, Gemini rising.
Would you say mercury transits for me could be more significant then? Even though it’s a fast moving planet?
Yes, absolutely! And that would include Mercury retrogrades too
Just curious when and who and why Neptune is not the ruling of Pisces. Thank you💕
Neptune was only discovered in 1846. So a good question is which planet ruled Pisces before then? And that is Jupiter.
@@KellysAstrology thank you💕
