Hi James, I started watching your channel prox. 3 yrs ago, I had bought 3 acres of property. I started working my property, my goal is to turn it into permaculture. I just found your 7 videos you had created on How to create a permaculture food forest. I watched all of them, I wish I had found them 4 yrs ago before I planted a lot of my fruit trees. I have learned so much from you and still learning. So now, I will fence off a specific area each year and start with the food forest foundation! Thank you so much, you have a wealth of information. You really need to write a book! Again Thank you!

My son thought I’d jumped off the deep end when I had FREE wood chips delivered to my house. 25 cubic yards and I was a happy camper. In the last 4 months my dead dry soil here in Las Vegas is thriving with worms 🤗. I’m afraid I’ll hurt my little friends when I plant.

Yes, what you do is valuable! You are saving the world with your insight, love and dedication to fostering God's bounty! I watch so many you tube gardening channels, and yours is always one of the best, most informative and most helpful. You are focused on "the work". It's not all about you. You give so much. And your love also lives on in my garden.

"great things take time to grow"
Omg. Your channel is about so much more than just gardening. I see knowledge, passion, wisdom, being persistent and harvesting the fruit of your labour and so much more.
Someone should make a "James Prigionis top 10 rules for success" video

Thank you James! We just realized today why we have new issues in our garden last 2 years. Our little man Patrick always marked the perimeter of our garden several times a day. Since he’s gone, rabbits and raccoons have moved in. 😂. He was a super garden shopper just like Tuck and we never knew what a big job he was doing keeping the garden safe. Thanks for the TUCK fix at the end of your video! I just love seeing that little guy enjoying his veggies! ❤

let me start off by saying thank you. i stumbled onto this station after reading a book on the life below the soil. since then, i feel like i understand what our purpose is. I binged on your videos over the last few months and appreciate the time and effort you've put into these. I'm buying a larger property in 1-2 years and i've completely changed my way at looking for a good location. with the knowledge and work you're helping me through right now, i hope to yield something as impressive as yours. maybe even sooner. I hope to inspire others as you've inspired me.

I’ve just discovered you and I’m binge watching your how to grow a food forest series! I love your enthusiasm and spirit! Gardening gives a person a lot of wisdom and perspective. I’m glad to have finally found someone who gardens kind of like me. I have gladiolus interplanted with the June bearing strawberries. And I just bought a bunch of red flowering everbearing strawberries cuz my husband likes pretty flowers and I like food so we grow pretty food 😆. The vegetable garden has zinnias and roses in it. I put marigolds everywhere. I plunk a cabbage here and a potato there and blue borage everywhere and scarlet runner beans are growing up the corn and multi colored peppers and tomatoes are scattered about and it’s all quite a polyculture. I’m so excited to learn how to do the food forest idea! Keep up the good work!

Thanks James for the good info. I have did some research and have made my list of fruit trees that I will be growing here in MS. Kind of expensive...250 bucks but I am about to pull the trigger on this. I am also building a pretty large continuous raised bed out of cement blocks for annuals and some perennials that is a pleasant design with irrigation and zones. I also have been busy chipping fallen small trees and branches from the woods on my property. All of this is a little overwhelming but I just keep chipping away at it. Videos like yours keep me motivated and I thank you.

rctd06 Money well spent. I am going to try a little experiment this year and line out my paths by weaving the whippy sun shoot prunings from my fruit trees around prunings (cuttings) from my fruit bushes like gooseberries, currants etc. The tree prunings should break down over time after providing their decorative edging service and the fruit bushes may root and grow, increasing the stock.

My point exactly on watering. Drip irrigation does not soak an area and moles are attracted to the easy dig areas. When you have sand and a hot micro climate it is difficult. These areas don't create a moist forest environment unless maybe if it was solid shade, but then the roots are zapping all the moisture.

James! You are such a great influence... thanks for all the good information! I started planning my homestead a couple of years ago, when I started watching Justin Rhodes... haven't bought the property yet... am doing that this year! So excited! And you have helped clarify my thoughts tremendously! I'll be building a food forest with chickens and ducks and a few other fowl. I'm in southwestern Missouri, so the weather is a bit different than Jersey... but the principles that you explain are great! Thanks again!
Also... you should list some of your tools and supplies that you use regularly... and get linked up with amazons affiliate program, so you can get paid for recommendations. I was thinking that other companies might offer that benefit too... I know that I like to see what people are using and how they work so I can decide if its the right tool for me.
Love watching your channel - keep up the good work!

It is interesting how a lot of us started the food forest concept in the last few years. As we learn about growing soil biological life I find it interesting the farmers are trying it. They are using manure-based compost and making tea to apply to their fields. Which is great anything is better than cancer for kids chemicals.

Another excellent video with hidden gems inside! I was surprised to discover I could plant asparagus under my fruit trees! I've actually ordered crowns as a result of this as I didn't want to dedicate a space in my relatively small vegetable garden to a plant that can remain for 10, 15, or 20 years. But under my fruit trees? Sure! I'd love to see you cover more planting ideas like this, but maybe you already have and I just need to continue watch the rest of your videos. Thanks again!

Thanks Jeremy. This was my favorite episode of the Gardening Show so far. Glad you enjoyed it too. I was a little worried about the length of the video, but I figured some people would enjoy it. Glad you did my friend 😁
