3:20 I like how you have redirected the stream flow out of it's straight line and around the deep pool through a leaky weir. I have been very curious about your dog food bag dam design choice. Makes good sense. Slow the water, spread the water and build a bend in the creek! I'm hoping to see the dog food bag dam fill to overflowing 💚 I will suggest adding some rock armoring to the steepest portion of the creek bank now that you can see where the water is flowing. I really like the buffer walls you have built in the channels. Now that the water is flowing, you can see where more would be beneficial. 3,000 subscribers here we come! 😊
Seeing the water come down that new swale for the first time was a treat, thanks for sharing that moment! Also it's nice to see the pond's water level rising again!
07:27 The path you have there is caused by compaction. Seeds can't germinate there easily and are getting stumped down if they manage to germinate either way. However, what I'm trying to say, if you walk inside of your swells, you do the same thing. You create a path where no grass will grow. But for erosion control, you really want grass growing in there. Just saying. :)
Well what a nice change it is to see a rain video - rather than those of recent times, where you and the farmer's wife are building a beach volleyball court. Who are you going to be playing against? Max & Luna?
