- The small mountain country of #Bhutan sits at the foot of the Himalayan Mountain Range in the center of Asia. While many nations in the world pledge to be carbon neutral in the future, meaning that these countries will emit less #CO2 then they capture or offset, Bhutan stands out by being the first country in the world to archive this goal. An that by a lot. in the 1970's already, the Bhutanese king declared ambitious goal by basing the governmental philosophy on the Gross National Happiness (#GNH) instead of economic growth. This national happiness is archived with preservation of nature and culture and by continuously increasing the quality of life of all citizens, regardless of their wealth, social status or where they live in the country. Many Initiatives are underway to foster equality and a sustainable existence, and Bhutan is a role model for pretty much every nation in the world in this matter.

I am proud to be Bhutanese. Thank you for this wonderful coverage.
Super interesting video!
I live really near to the Bhutan (and Chinese) border. Before the COVID pandemic the gates were open but unfortunately we can no longer go to Bhutan without legal documents!
Very interesting :)
