Wow, I this man is truly great. I can't remember the last time I cried over a freaking pep talk. What's up with that? I have faith in this man and he will without a doubt be the next president provided he survives the coming months. I pray for his safety, and for his continuing compassion for the people of America.
Thank you Team Obama!! You guys did a great job. Congrats to everyone nationwide who worked for the campaign and worldwide who supported it. Yes We Can!
So many of them are so young. It really makes me feel great to see it. I think there is a true hope for a better America in this man's heart, and I hope we can allow him to share it with the entire country and the rest of the world.
His multi-ethnic and multicultural background is an asset, I think. And from a dysfunctional family to boot. I think he has all the makings of not just a good leader, but a great leader, understanding the issues people care about, having compassion, and the ability to mobilize people to a common goal. Fits the metric for a leader suited ideally for the 21st century, and not a relic, a recycle or a has-been like some of the other candidates!
That was one inspiring speech! We really are holding up the mantle of the Democratic party, and everyone who put their faith in the fact that America can be better. It nearly brought me to tears, :'(
Even though they've been working endlessly, the people in that room must feel so privileged, to be working for him and making history. I'm a lazy guy, but with words like that I'd work every hour of the day for him. I'm very grateful to these people because they're changing the world for the better.
I totally agree. If you listen to his speeches and even non-formal talks, there's one thing that becomes abundantly clear. Obama is a leader. It's never about the I, but about the We. As a team builder myself, I understand that concept. No single part is greater than the whole. The other thing that amazes me about the Obama campaign as that the vast majority of donations come from people like me. We will push forward, we will end the 3 decades of neo-con rule. There is a better tomorrow.
Really a remarkable thing, when viewed in that light. Sen. Obama calmly tells a room full of no-name kids that the fate of the world is in their hands. No pressure...! "Now we have no choice. WE HAVE TO WIN."
This is exactly why he will make a good president. He is a leader and he knows how to get people to work for him, knows how to recognize and appreciate hard work, and to recognize the strengths of people. This is what makes a person a good manager/executive. This is the important job of the POTUS :) I can't wait to see his state of the union addresses. Go Obama! :D
I like that not only he inspires his staff he also rouses them to aspire to do greater, work harder, and become tougher to the inevitably vicious criticism that will be thrown their way.
I can hear the genuineness and determination as well as humors through his voice and appearance despite the extreme mental & physical fatigue. Go Obamas!!
I was speaking with my Aunt about how (when she was much younger) it must have been to see JFK speak. She explained to me that watching Barack speak is the only time in her life she's felt that same feeling of hope. It's real, guys. Thank GOD for Obama!
I live in Michigan where the economy is in very bad shape now, and I work for a state-funded institution. But this year I got a promotion in my workplace with a good raise. I do not have rich and powerful friends or family who just gave this to me. I got it for myself by working hard, cultivating good leadership skills, and trying my best to balance being humble with standing up strongly for myself. Thank you for this video to show that with hard work people can bring change in hard times.
This is a wonderful video-It got me fired up!!! I have worked hard for the Obama campaign--from making calls to going door to door. And now I'm ready for the next phase--ON TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!! OBAMA '08
What an extemporaneous speech. Every opportunity he had to talk about himself, he deflected it, and talked about the responsibility that he had (and that his staff has) to those people who are counting on them. It is not about getting power for him, it is about helping the public. What a candidate. November 4th is going to be such a happy day.
I smell the change in the air and it starts with Mr. Obama. I feel he makes it a personal goal of his to be a rolemodel to all African-Americans and all Americans alike. What's even better than that, is just to think how far this country has come since the civil rights days. I'm white, 27yrs male american and I will stand in the long line next to Mr Obama to the road to the whitehouse. Mr Obama and all his supports will not stand down until Bush is out, and McCain has failed.
Jeaniebean2, you remember some, but you forgot 1 thing: HOPE. That's what I feel when listen to him (and I'm a Canadian who's usually EXTREMELY cynical toward American Presidential Candidates)
There should be no doubt that a good man stands for us. Let's all get behind Barack, and fix this country. Lets all fix this broken state of affairs. Bravo to all who have given, and will help bring a very good change.
as someone who lives in the UK I am so jealous of all the HQ workers and volunteers who have the priviledge of working for Barack Obama on this historic campaign.
i don't care how old i am, ive been around long enough to know that i will never be able to trust a republican nominee for the rest of my life. this man is true to his word, he has my vote.
What a primary season! Congratulations to Barack Obama. While many perceive the equal support of both candidates as potentially divisive, I think it would be more accurate to characterize our primary this way: our party sees the importance of equality for ALL, race and gender, as extremely important to our country and our party's enthusiastic support for BOTH candidates does NOT mean we dismiss the other. Once Democrats, Republicans, Independents ... Americans realize this, we will be stronger.
He comes over as a really genuine, humble, intelligent - and funny! - person. Nobody can turn America inside out like a glove, but if there's any candidate who can help us all to finally start improving things instead of messing them up, it's him.
All those people in that room are a key part of mankinds attempt at making this world a better place....congrats to all of you. It is a very hard accomplishment...
I'm so inspired by this MAN! Wherever we go from here, we will be a different country because of this campaign. Integrity makes a difference, and we have been in desperate need of that very thing for a long time. Though the past is never to be forgotten, let us look toward a much more hopeful and brighter future. No one said it would come without a fight...but it will come. Thank you, Barack Obama, for your humility in the face of so much adversity.
Please America recognise what a gift you have in this man. The world is waiting for you to elect him. Keep him safe and open the door to the Presidency for this truly remarkable man. Obama 08 A UK friend
A beautiful example of the genuineness and authenticity of Barack Obama! Can't WAIT to have him and Michelle in the White House and traveling the world representing us to the peoples who have grown so doubtful and disgusted by US policy.
What I think says the most about his character is the way he responds to little glitches, the sound system, the cell phone, etc. To the cell phone he says, "oh, oh". Calm, respectful, a great leader. He even apologizes for his errors, when was the last time you heard this administration or John McBush admit to that. But then again maybe they are all perfect:) Peace
A great leader inspires, has the power to lead people. He is the fulfilment and embodiment of that American Dream you talk about, he is a symbol of the future; he is not a relic, a recycle or a has-been. He is the 21st Century, where the world MUST reconsider options other than bloodbaths and pissing contests; he has the power of persuasion. Skilled in the art of diplomacy. Is compassionate. Being from a dysfunctional family and with his multi-cultural and multi-ethnic background, HE IS THE ONE.
That's a great book! I bought it in an airport in Los Angeles and couldn't stop until I got to Zurich, Switzerland - an 18 hour trip with layovers. Keep a handy, dandy dictionary close by. Sounds like you are learning. Awesome! Keep it up.
Thank you Obama Team!!! YOu're incredible!! If I were working there in Chicago I would bring my bedroll (sleeping bag) and a nice mattress into work because I'd want to sleep over there from time to time and use as many hours as possible to get Barack elected and to change history for our great nation.
One of the best speeches I've heard yet in this looooooong campaign season, because it came from the heart, not the speech-writers. This IS the person we have longed for. I have seen the future of America, and his name is Barack Obama.
I'm ready to go. Thank you Barack- before this election, I never really understood the obligation to care not only of myself but of my fellow man. I am my brothers keeper, I am my sisters keeper- and I move towards the general election with that spirit, with that sense of responsibility not only for my own actions but for the actions of my country. Some may say I'm young (I'm 20) but age was never a prerequisite for action...the worlds hope, it is to rely on youth.
You Sir have realised the dream Martin Luther King Dreamed about. a Hero who once said " I am the root of the tree you can chop down the tree but it's roots will rise again." The Hero was Henry Christophe and his sucessor whom rose again was Jean Jacque Desaline and the end result was "Haiti" The first black nation to have gain its independence. You Mr. "President" wil be the realisation of a dream long awaited. May God bless you and the decisions you will make
He was right on the money! We need Obama, we need a change from the Republican way, and America is ready to progress with his leadership! No McCain, Go Obama!
Canada had one of the most remarkable political leaders in Pierre Elliott Trudeau. His government lead us into a recession because he was not knowledgeable about economics because of his rich upbringing. Otherwise P.E.T. left a remarkable positive legacy. Each leader will have a weakness in some areas. Hopefully Obama will surround himself with those that will cover those weaknesses. It is up to you America to make sure that happens.
Barack Obama! I am glad to have seen this (you running for president with change in mind) occur during my generation. You can do it! You have what it takes. I see it in you and I know voting for you was the right choice for the nation and world. It's time for change. It's time for this change. GO Obama!!!
Good speech, don't forget about the immigrants, and even remember that your father was an immigrant who wenr back to Africa. Don't forget about the hispanics, because we have the same rights as any other human being, we are "PEOPLE", and "WE HAVE A DREAM " TOO.
Brilliant video. Very effective. Did anyone else note how, despite looking very 'homemade', it expertly edited from a bunch of different cameras. Obama's campaign should do some ads in this style... but I'm not sure how to compress it to 30-60sec effectively.
I feel Obama is giving hope for us all, not only for America, but the world. It's nice to see a real human, and not a politician looking for power and money.
He's a good man. We would be lucky to have him as president. I haven't drank the Kool-Aid, I gave him an honest assessment. I've looked at him critically as I can, and although he's made a couple bad judgement calls, I feel he has the integrity and judgement to make some positive change we really need. He takes pricipled stands on the issues and reaches the right conclusions, in my opinion. 08AMA!
The country is in trouble right now. A man who can inspire the people at this difficult point in history is more important than marriage to a former ex-president.
This certainly is a great speech. What I really like is that Obama is not only trying to inspire his staff but wants them to aspire to do better. To work harder, longer, and stand tougher and much more resilient to the inevitably vicious commentary to be thrown their way.
He's amazing and very down to earth. This man knows how to communicate. Unlike his opponent.
That was arguably the most genuine thing I've ever heard a politician say in my lifetime.
I probably need to get a life, but I never get tired of watching this....
His his ability to enthuse people is so fascinating to me. It could be the key to change America in a very positive way!
Yes We Can!
Thank you to the Obama staff. So many ordinary citizens really appreciate your work. Don't forget that. Please, keep pushing Obama forward.
So many of them are so young. It really makes me feel great to see it.
I think there is a true hope for a better America in this man's heart, and I hope we can allow him to share it with the entire country and the rest of the world.
I appreciated the last couple minutes of the vid. He left speech mode for a few moments there, and seamed to speak from the heart.
His multi-ethnic and multicultural background is an asset, I think. And from a dysfunctional family to boot. I think he has all the makings of not just a good leader, but a great leader, understanding the issues people care about, having compassion, and the ability to mobilize people to a common goal. It nearly brought me to tears, :'(

ready to go... and fired up!
He inspires me to go there and do the best i can and a little bit more.
He's a great manager. He's a great leader. He'll make a fantastic president. The best we've had in a very long time.
This is exactly why he will make a good president. Good Luck Barack, from Australia
His charisma is only exceeded by his great mental faculties and intuition.
Finest candidate in my 63 years IMHO.
We have no choice but TO WIN in November!

Lova ya Barack!
I'm fired up and ready to go!

Wow! Congrats Team Obama! Now on to victory in November!
I like that not only he inspires his staff he also rouses them to aspire to do greater, work harder, and become tougher to the inevitably vicious criticism that will be thrown their way.

I love this guy. I LOVEEEEEE him! Our next POTUS!

I respect a man who can return a "i love you" back and mean it, to the people.
WOW, Just WOW!!! The greatest inspirer I've EVER seen.
He Along with the Help of We, MUST WIN in November!

Amen.
Thank you team Obama, for all your incredible work! Keep it up! You're doing great :)
Wow! This guy is a total inspiration. Consider yourselves absolved of electing Bush if you elect Obama. I'm speechless.
This is a wonderful video-It got me fired up!!! I have worked hard for the Obama campaign--from making calls to going door to door. And now I'm ready for the next phase--ON TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!

Thanks so much for posting this video and giving us a window into your campaign!
He seems ridiculously tired but doesn't cease to inspire.

Mr. President, I'm fired up and ready to go!!! I'm gonna pray my butt off for you and your staff. God Bless!
That is just unbelievable. The first truly honest politician I've ever seen. He is so genuine.
a sign to show you he speaks straight from the heart.
Congrats Obama! We're counting on you!
I agree a 100%.There is no one better then Barack Obama.Sincerely Ursula from Germany
Congrats on the nomination Mr. Obama I have every confidence that you will be the next US President.

He's so eerily calm even he has to bring it up.

AN HONEST CAMPAIGN TEAM
Everybody is marveling at it. Across the world, everybody is marveling at it.
Who could not want him to be the president? He is smart, down to earth, and even funny!
I am a Women in Germany and I wish we had a Barack Obama 2.I would vote for Him if I could.
Awesome! Keep up the good work guys and girls!
