I liked the way this beautiful mold turned out, but I haven’t thought of a reason that I would use the polyurethane resin. Not sure! You crack me up the way you get so nervous!😅

He came out really good and clean. All the times I've used that resin, it has stayed really hot for a while.
Glad to know you can use the chameleon with the polyurethane! You can get polyurethane that hardens black instead of white.

Not sure if you've watched her before or not but Claire from Claire's Crafty Corner uses polyurethane resin often on her channel if anyone is looking for more ideas and ways to use it. 💞 Beautiful cat! I'd be nervous using it too with such a short working time.

He turned out super cute. The mold is really nice. He’s shiny enough. There is a black poly resin on the market. I’ve seen I think Wendy from Toonpish Crafts use it.

You can buy black polyurethane resin it's perfect for using with chameleon powders 😊
I think the nic powder is color changing with temp changes so the red won't be obvious until maybe in the sun 6:00
Also the poly is so thin it usually doesn't make bubbles.
The kitty 🐱 cute but I’m not sure I would use that resin because you had to be super fast in pouring it and knowing myself, there would be a mistake somewhere. I’ll stick with the slow and steady resin LOL thanks for showing us.
Honestly Michelle it looks as shiny as any other shiny mold, at least from here. As neat as it is I think I’ll skip the polyurethane. You have way less control over it and I need that control, lol

Lots and lots of mica or it will cure grey. I can't remember who did that, but yeah need lots of mica.

The poly definitely gets my anxiety going. I’ve wasted alot lol. My small pieces definitely take longer than 10 minutes. I was thinking it wasn’t shiny because of the mica.
I love the cat, my fav, but also love the turtle.. unfortunately I can only do UV Resin for financial reason s. With they could make cute molds for UV. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I need to try using chameleon powder first and then top coat with a black mica then pour the black colored pu. I wonder if that would work better.🤔
Definitely black PU resin would have worked better showing off the mica powders, I didn't have any!

Cats do not have round eyes.
The polyurethane items I've made are always very shiny if I mix the mica in with the mixture, not applying it to the mold, I guess there's a difference. Different effect though for sure because it would have been a light blue cat. Beautiful cat mold though. I believe the cat would have been very shiny (allowing for his texture) if the mica were pre-mixed, not on the mold itself. Interesting experiment??? I made pink trinket heart bowls - they were very shiny using red mica powder in with the mixture. 🫶
