Apparition: creation of a life-sized
puppet
Workshop directed by Natacha Belova (Belgique)
Natacha Belova proposes the creation of a human-sized
puppet with a hybrid body, partly its own, partly that
of its manipulator: conception, graphic presentation,
selection of the appropriate form, construction,
costume and manipulation.
Techniques: sculpture in foam or polystyrene, use
of papier-mâché, creation of an articulated mouth,
technique of covering with cloth, use of latex, thermo-
mouldable plastic, transfer of photos onto cloth,
technique of hardening textiles…
Stage proposé par l'institut international de la marionnette. Mené par Natacha Belova et assisstée par Aurélie Borremans.
L'objectif du stage est la création d'une marionnette de taille humaine au corps hybride, mêlant le sien à celui de son manipulateur.
