  • A two-putt from 60 feet on the final hole gave Tiger Woods a one-stroke victory over Phil Mickelson at the 1999 World Golf Championships - NEC Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

    Incredible how he can fight an old swing tendency during a tournament as he’s rebuilding it and still win. Just baffling how he spent the entire week hitting essentially just knock down irons.

    You never saw Tiger hit a 2 iron off 18 again after this round. Thankfully he had a 2 shot lead headed to the final hole.
