The contrast between Charlotte's demure WASPy exterior and her inner monologue made verbal through the 3 martinis is hilarious! Charlotte could be so adorably freaky sometimes.
No one gives Charlotte credit. Carrie & Miranda were actually the most prudish. Char had 3somes, tossed guys salad frequently, did an@l often, and was very open sexuaIIy. She was the most open after Samantha, she just never really felt comfortable talking about it out loud unless she was drunk
When you can't discuss sex with friends then there not your friends even if it was inappropriate. It's funny and IRL...I would have laughed and then discussed what I like too 🤣
And Kyle MacLachlan played Trey (Charlotte’s husband) on SATC and played Orson (Bree’s husband) on DH. Funny thing is Charlotte and Bree remind me so much of one another. Both are the more conservative, classy, feminine, elegant ones in their friend groups and come from old money in New England.
@@cheesecakehoe5920 Except Bree was originally way more uptight than Charlotte. Charlotte is traditional but not cold. There are some similarities though.

Seriously? The reality is Samantha was a slut and there is no way you can spin it. In fiction women admire woman like her but in real life almost everyone with and qualms or morality finds her type disgusting. And Samantha actions are not indicative of someone who is confident, but someone who needs reassurances.
She's also fake. She's the most unrealistic character of them all. Women and men who jump from sexual partner to sexual partner rarely are successful. Being a whore and functioning properly are just not compatible.
It’s amazing mystery how speaking of male in capabilities (even in private conversations) are big TABOOs in the real world 🤷♀️, while we female always criticize ourselves.Wonder where that come from❓
Charlotte rushes into marriage with someone who looks good on paper and won't meet up with her old friends until she does. Because when she was still single, she was afraid they would judge her.
Though Charlotte's friends started the dirty talk, in their defense, they weren't being loud and didn't talk about marriage problems. Charlotte was over dramatic, loud about her problems, and got everyone's attention.
Charlotte owned this scene! Just goes to show that Samantha is her true friend. These girls were just stiff, stuck up prudes in boring, sad and emotionless marriages. Hyperthetically.
Jeez, they are "frenemies" just because they're uncomfortable with her talking loudly and graphically about sex in a restaurant? If Charlotte were sober and they were all discussing personal problems in a more private setting, maybe then she could discuss Trey's issues with them. You don't have to discuss every single subject with every single friend group.
Yeah, but they had drinks wherever they were, so it's understandable how Charlotte got so explicit. But more importantly, one was about to call her a slut... She's MARRIED
Yeah that part wasn’t written well. I think that she felt like they were superficial way before that. Then when it sounded like Sydney - the one who seemed like she would understand - was about to say “you’re such a whore” but Charlotte checked her… also irl they would have like grabbed her hand before finishing that monologue to say “Char keep your voice down we are in public”
Funny how Charlotte turned into the Samantha of her old group of friends :D
... whereas Samantha found herself to be the Charlotte of the group she was in that night. 😅
In this episode Charlotte became Samantha and Samantha had lunch with a girl she thought was too wild. I loved it.
what episode is it?
@@roblo8188 S3E16 Frenemies.
That was the moment Samantha realized, she had a little bit of Charlotte in her !
The moment Charlotte realized her college friends weren't her real friends and how samantha was more of a good friend
Charlotte looked gorgeous in this. Her hair was beautiful and shaped well.
Samantha would have been so damn proud of her. 😂❤
They have drinks in the end, she tells her about the lunch as the episode ends.
I had to rewatch it my memory was fuzzy, but she calls Samantha, and tells her about her and Trey, and Samantha congratulates her.
Inappropriate? Sydney started it with “We hardly ever got out of bed.”
Aviva Kirsten Charlotte just made them realize their sad reality truth hurts. Prudes are hypocritical.
@@MsImy12 And their husbands definitely "sign of some papers" with a "Samantha" during the after hours.
yea but she didn’t yell it lol
Just what I was thinking!
You don’t know the difference between saying you want to really be banged hard and stating you never got out of bed when you were a newlywed? 😂

Still one of my favorite Charlotte scene Love it when she turns the sassiness on
Imagine Sidney and the other two ladies being out to lunch with Samantha.
They would’ve fainted in their seats!
And Samantha would have read them to filth!!!
their minds wouldn't have been the only thing being blown!!
1:36 that impression of Samantha! I love that.
Possibly the funniest scene in the entire series!
“My husband can’t get it up” sent me 😂

Charlotte is so much prettier than her sorority friends.
I think they were deliberately chosen to look like gargoyles next to Charlotte.
Hilarious scene! It always cracks me up.
Her friends had become Karen's and she had become Samantha
her old friends definitely seem fake and unattractive compared to Charlotte's current friends.
Out-takes clips here would be golden...

Rebecca Wisocky ❤
She dropped $20 for 3 martinis???
Maybe 50
I just love it so much everytime Charlotte becomes the Harlot. This is were they copied Bree Vandercamp's slut reinvention. Actually, Bree is the Charlotte of Wisteria Lane and you all heard from me.
This episode aired before D.H. had even started.
Seems like they copied S.A.T.C. and not the other way around.
The show ended in 2004 while Desperate Housewives aired thier first season in 2004. But anyway, that 2 shows are my fav show of all the TV series.
"Rex cries when he ejaculates" 😬
I see the parallels
Rebecca Wisocky the actress who plays the redhead in this scene actually played Bree’s mom in a flashback on DH.
And both actresses were on Melrose Place in the '90s
