- Health issues cut the Journey short of a true champion of reggae Music who assisted the most artiste in achieving their musical dreams back in his time.. Sugar Minontt always welcomed young talents because he understood the struggle that potential artiste had to face.. #reggae #dancehall #jamaica
This guy got so much love for humanity especially the youths. He is my favorite artist from way back in the 80tes I think he has the most sons out there. Love sugar minnot.
💯💯
A really Great man;
It's a fact...Sugar was really one Artist who helped in the development of younger dancehall Artistes...I think he was born in Harkers Hall District in St. Catherine...I knew his father Manfling...I remembered back in the day when he used us as youths in the Harkers Hall community to start the construction of a fence around his father's property...he told us then that he was going to build a studio there...but it never happened...his music is still played by sound systems in the area...by the way he is buried in the Harkers Hall cemetery...big up the great Lincoln Sugar Booga Minott.
Bless up
Legendary R.I.P!!!!! all remember him for is hard time pressure!!!!
He is one of the most helpful artiste from Jamaica
Sugar Minott helped Coxsone at Studio One & Sugar is responsible for naming many of Studio One riddims. It was Sugar who made Coxsone realise the riddims were being copied by competing studios, of which Channel Ones Jo Jo Hookim had allegedly said he had regrets covering so many Studio One riddims. I was extremely upset when Ali Campbell from UB40 said on a documentary celebrating Randys 17 North Parade, he said he saw Sugar down on his luck, walking barefoot selling oranges. I will never believe that story. Sugar is one of the architects of dancehall & lovers rock. We miss him. R.I.P. Lincoln Sugar Minott 🙏🏾
