      You’re too kind, chef Bob! The group is awesome and such a great resource for anyone getting started, so it was a no brained to include.

    Love ❤️ your videos...hope you do a kitbash 2.o video....one of the thing you didn't mention is body types skin complexions and the thing that drives me absolutely insane neck and hand foot adapters. Bodies with or without necks as well.😊

      Thanks so much! 😊I have to admit, I did this video and then afterwards felt like there was so much more I could have included. It’s such a big topic! I like to think of this as a part one, as I’ll definitely be looking to do more videos on kitbashing in the future. I’ll make a note of this suggestion so I cover it in the next one.

    Helpful video and description links! I've looked and subscribed. I'm just getting into this. I'd like to make some 1/6 figures to occupy my arcade full of arcade cabinets from New Wave Toys.

      Thanks for the feedback! Really happy to hear you found it useful. Kitbashing is such a rewarding process. What kind of figures are you thinking of putting together?

      @@sixthscaleshero I'm not looking to spend much. I'm looking at a few generic arcade customers and I've got my eye on a Mr. Bean sculpted head on ebay. I might just make myself a Mr. Bean!

    I've got a newb question: How do you match up clothing to bodies to fit properly?

    • @sixthscaleshero
      @sixthscaleshero  11 месяцев назад +3

      Assuming it’s male figures, a lot of the general clothing sets out there tend to lend themselves to the standard narrow shoulder bodies (like the MX02). Sometimes the websites will state if a particular body is recommended, which is helpful, but if they don’t I just drop them a line to ask what would be the best fit.
      If you’re getting into kitbashing, the best advice I can say is part of the fun is the satisfaction of getting the right parts, and if something isn’t quite right now it could be the perfect part you need in the future. My box of spare parts and pieces has bern invaluable at times! 😊

    Love to know , what was your absolute worst kitbash you ever did.? Mine was civil war captain America , dam thing cost me 3x what the hottoys figure cost and still looks crappy 😐. What was your best kitbash? Mine was tom welling Smallville. It actually looks great and was less than 100😊

      I love this question! The worst was trying to recreate the Matt Murdock from the elevator scene in the Defenders. I bought a custom sculpt for it and when I got it, the combo of the custom sculpt with the Hero Lawyer body and suit just looked so awful. Ended up selling the sculpt and sticking to the original that game with the figure.
      As for the best, as much as I love my pilot Carol Danvers (she would be my favourite kitbash) if I have to pick a best kitbash I think it would be either the Captain Cold or Heat Wave figures I made. To have the actual weapons just takes them to the next level.
