Fellas if you don't have stellaris yet and are looking to get it, now is the best time, Stellaris is currently £3.49 for the game and £15.11 for the starter edition with most DLC also on sale
First Contact does come with the Eager Explorers Civic, that is an absolute must for players that like to go wide. Overlord does bring Hyper Relays and Orbital Rings, that is essential infrastructure to your empire in any playthrough, regardless of if you use vassals or not.
It also I think added the kingship civic and I think another one. It also got a similar set of traits like crystallization and the other traits that give rare resources only lithoids get. It could use another civic or gimmick tbh, an ascension perk for mining deeper or something.

Long time console player. I got a laptop recently and wanted to play Stellaris, but the price for the game and all DLCs were too high. Read everywhere that it's best to wait for a sale. So i did that, and now the game and all DLCs were on sale for like 65% off! So I purchased it right away. Dragons Horde was one of the best systems in the game from the sheer amount of minerals. I disagree on Overlord. Playing a game without Hyper Relays or Orbital Rings is almost a necessity at this point, just from needing less pops and having your ships move faster. The Scrappers are also one of my favorite enclaves, because buying 10 corvettes for 1200 energy, especially early game when your alloys are low, can be the difference between being attacked before you're ready or gaining a vassal. Ancient Relics is basically meta right now due to nano cloud missiles being the best weapon in the game. Fear of the Dark is probably the best origin to learn how to ship rush and have an early war.
