I Travelled Lahore to Karachi by Road on My Mehran

- Our journey from Karachi to Lahore was a challenge in itself, and then we decided to travel on our Mehran for this family trip, yes! the smallest possible car to travel a 1250km distance in one go.
it was a long 14.5 hours drive, in which we stopped at some places for short periods, that made the total time travel of 18 hours by the time we reached Karachi.
I am sure this is by far the most adventurous Trip from Lahore to Karachi by Road or a Suzuki Mehran. It was an economical trip considering a 27 years old car in such an immaculate condition.
We stopped 3 times to fuel up the tank, and our average speed was 100km/h.

It reminded me of our so many trips from Karachi to Pinjab without any Motorways and Google.
The signs were not confusing, may be now I am used to of it while driving in Europe.
If I have to drive, I never count my first fueling. My simple formula is: Full tank at start and then full tank at destination, including in-between re-feuling. Hence, it provides how much feul is actually consumed.

It is Kirthar Mountain range. It is almost on the border between Sindh and Balochistan. Sindh's coldest place i.e. Gorakh Hill is also located on these mountains.
BTW, you took the correct route. You can also take N-5 but the Jamshoro road/ Mehran highway you took is bit shorter and have much better road condition. I would recommend to take the same route while going back. Just keep one thing in mind to leave KHI very early in the morning and Enter Punjab during daylight.
Yes we are planning to leave just round sunrise to clear the sindh part in broad daylight. Will definitely make a shorter version vlog on my way back ♥️
97 model mehran brought back all the memories we had 97 model mehran first hand just sold it 2 years back due to lack of parking space. You have maintained your car very well MashAllah

2016 main mehran pr safar kiya tha jampur to karaci un dino petrol koi 64 rupes pr liter tha karachi jana r karachi sy wapsi ana tool tax mila kr sb kuch krny ky bad hmara expense only 9800 rupees aya tha and we was 5 persons

I did the same trip multiple times from lahore to karachi on my santro 2001 model with AC. and i always prefer to to drive my 2001 santro. I would say this car is mini GLI. smooth, no road noice, AC chilled. What else you need.
