You should really use the season furniture to reveal weakpoints on pest ships, especially if you run the Ballista. As for meta, a good Sambuk with Zamzaras and fire synergy sinks the pest ships faster than a Dard Brig. Ouroboros may have the most "stats" if you add the percentages together, but main damage type of enemies is explosive and tearing, making the Custodian (or the Black Prince) still better for most encounters

I think scurlocks long guns are better to use cause y can destroy enemy boat sails and they can't move , so easier shots for yr bombards-mortar. BUT it's more difficult to land those shots with it
