I met him in Bangkok shortly after he won Fighter of the Year. Really great guy. Drove me around in his (I think) Mazda truck and trained a bit. I still have a photo he gave me of himself! Haha
His punching style is different from classical out-fighter western boxing, yet his mechanics are so tight and efficient. One of my all time favorite strikers - not just in Muay Thai but all striking arts.
The punches are the mechanics of western boxing. The punches, especially power shots are driven from the hip with the heel turn. It's great to see the similarities between western boxing and Muay Thai. Thank you for the content.
What are the bags filled with? Right now I am making due with a 100lb Everlast, which I assume is filled with fabric, but when I learned we used bags full of sand
I’m summarizing what I learned from Bruce Lee’s literature growing up. He said the danger with hitting the bag too much is that you get used to a target that doesn’t hit bag. If you must hit the bag, you need to treat it like an opponent and hit it with caution.
It's like studying with different poets. You don't get confused because everything they do is for a purpose. You just choose what fits in with you. All the ways of doing things are tools.
@@hesamalavi9 Ah, you just pick the tool, just like you pick words to use. Sometimes you can think about them, sometimes you feel them. Usually, you just grab one, any one that you've practiced enough to feel comfortable in. There is no golden rule.
@@8limbsUs Yeah looks that these Thai people in Golden Era have different styles, wanchanoi seems like he is doing korat, powerful punches and kicks, namkabuan chayuth more defensive and doing elbows ✌🏾
Well I see why you said he was scary, did he blink or break eye contact a single time in this whole session? Dude's eyes are making me uncomfortable from here on my couch, lol.
Yo check this out my sistuh. Wangchannoi fights just like Gerald Mcclellan. Same combos hahaha. Both born in the same year. Check it out. Same body type too.

I wanna be that cool one day that I'll just give them a photo of my muay thai picture hahah. Savage 💜

Training with all these guys, with all these different styles, how do you not get confused as in what to use?

@@8limbsUs What a beautiful explanation, thanks. Do you use logic or feelings to figure out what fits you?

我的超級英雄。謝謝你的影片。
I thought I wasn’t good at Muay Thai because I punched a lot. Then I found this guy
Does he have a gym in Bangkok?
No, he doesn't take students.
Where is Wangchannoi's gym? Such an excellent fighter. I wish he had more students.
He doesn't really have a gym, we just trained at a community gym that we arranged to film at.
@@8limbsUs thank you
Looooooooove your videos.
Where is this place ?
It's a local community gym about 45 minutes north of Bangkok.
Buen video!!!
