just practice the amount of force you use to spin the pencil, a few hundred spin would do it
Don't hold the pen too tight and don't push it too hard

What I did is when i flipped the pen i tilted my hand down right after I flipped it and caught it that way

TYSM I TRIED IT AND I DID IT PROPERLY ONCE NOW IM TRYNA DO IT AGAIN PROPERLY
If you spin it counter clockwise it's easier. You just need to put the middle finger above the pencil like the index is. All you need to do is do a snapping motion. (Like a snap change) then it automatically spins and catches itself on the middle finger shelf that is created on the follow through form the snap motion

Quick tip might not be for everyone but I found putting your middle finger higher up to the point where ur nail is above the pencil makes it easier

Thank you! I've seen that catching sometimes depends on the speed at which you spin the pen, try adjusting to different speeds and see what works for you!

I can only get the spin part but I’m struggling to catch the pencil still
Tried this at home. I'm now missing three fingers, one eye, and a cat!
Jokes aside, I can at least do it some of the time now. It comes in streaks and then I fumble for a while. I found a few things helpful:
-Instead of spinning the pen around your thumb, think of rotating your thumb around the stationary fulcrum of the pen.
-Keep your palm open and relaxed so your fingers aren't fighting each other.
-As the pen rotates, make sure you're opening your hand enough to let the pen pass through your index finger instead of bouncing off.

I think like slowly spin ur wrist that's wat I doing rn and by doing it I learned it in less then 30 mins
Like when u spin it and it just starts to get on ur thumb that's when u turn ur wrist a little outward and down

I think this method might be better than the one that i do, you use the middle finger to actually push the pencil
i just learned the technique from u and i can do the spin but im bad at the catching part where u spin the pen and then catch it one time i spinned the pen and almost lost my right eye

@@TalonGreene I dont do this trick anymore, because I couldnt master it. If you keep trying youll get it down. It takes alot of time tho.

I have been practicing for a year docent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad that I broke my pencil my dad gave me I do not recommend this.
