This is super helpful! Im building a budget Tri-Zoo, this will be helpful in using some budget options while still having a majority of the Tri-Zoo engine. Its mostly the UR cards and some of the SRs like pot.
Its a great deck, I'm playing it almost daily and its working great. You can always get stuff like apolousa later on and just focus on getting your main engine first. Even withouth all the handtraps and such it still does quite well.
I will do more! I am trying to figure out to make it even easier to follow, I'll likely do it in some solo mode and go through the entire combo there with the 'shortened' text on screen.

Thank you! If you are looking for a budget deck to play on the side, the Yosenju deck I released yesterday is also decent. Nowhere near as good as Tri-Brigade, but a lot of fun to play and cheap to build (since they share most staples).
This is so helpful!! I'm pretty ignorant about Yugioh and built the best meta deck and preceeded to have no idea how Zoodiacs were suppose to work and how Zues was suppose to be summoned.

I'm a strong believer that you need a proper foundation first and then you can learn the rest while experimenting and playing. I hope doing the videos like this people understand the main plays and will learn the limitations through trial and error (like only being able to target beast, beast warrior and winged beasts on lots of cards). I'll continue to explain stuff like this and probably make a seperate video for hand traps and tech cards at some point.
I run a tri-brigade lyrilusc deck with Zeus, it's been a lot of fun to play, and I've pulled out some crazy wins. Always good to look into these types of videos however, so that I can get a better understanding of how to play them better. Now if only I could figure out how to build a proper shaddoll deck...
Lyrilusc is on par or probably slightly better than this deck, I do think Zoodiac is easier to pull off for beginners so I went with this for now. I might do a Shaddoll deck eventually, but the deck requests are starting to pile up, so it may take a month or two before I can get to it XD.
@@arthusofoblivion6699 Thank you for the support! I think once the channel grows and the ad revenue ads up it'll become easier to buy some gems to create more decks too. Being limited to gems in the game + the few bundles slightly sucks, lol. I like to test my decks before listing them.

Indeed, as a returning YGO player I was struggling to find a video that explained what all the "new" stuff does. Which can be overwhelming, I feel this way players got a foundation to work from and slowly learn the clauses what the deck can and cannot do.

I had the same with Yosenju, Shiranui and Six Samurai lol. Stuff is so overpowered nowadays. Almost doesn't feel like yugioh XD. (I switched in gold though)
Im Plat 5 currently and honestly Tri-Bri/Zoodiac doesn’t work for me against 90% of the decks, against Eldrich,Prank Kids etc. I’ll probably stick to my Virtual World deck, got more answers to counter plays with it even if they cancel some of the strategy, amazing vid tho and good narration.
can u do an invoked shaddoll dogmatika guide? It looks so cool but im kinda having trouble trying to understand the various combos of it since im relatively new to yugioh and your guides are so good.
i think its best to chose your prefered opening, going first or 2nd and build your deck arround that, if i always pick going first i would drop the nibirus and run the one solemn judgement you have and imperial order instead, your deck has nothing to protect itself from lightning storm or raigeki, doesnt really matter if you have a 3 negate Apollousa if the opponent opens with one of those 2 you lose. honestly going by that same logic, i im kinda tempted to cut the zoodiacs completely and run rescue cat combined with x saber airbellum to make turn 1 naturia beast, if i open naturia beast, 3 negate Apollousa and have a revolt set, come at me bro, you lose. i legit never use the zoodiacs, i usually just discard them to get more summons, if they have 5 cards set or a full board of monsters im legit hoping that my 1 zoodiac attack goes through to go into zeus, i mean good luck mate, that never happens.
@@KuganeGaming i changed my mind a little towards the zoodiacs now, turns out the eldlich traps dont really do anything on their own, had a duel yesterday where i negated their only skill drain with solemn judgement, then every other summon i did got negated until i literally had 1 zoodiac left in hand, they only had like 3 eldlich traps left so i was actually able to go into a super clutch zeus and won with only 1 card, didnt expect that xD i still would love to try rescue cat one day when i have 3 or even just 1 copy xD also the only reason that duel was even close was because they won the coinflip and i went 2nd, if i went first they were done im pretty sure. also it was my choice to go into zeus, i couldve also made it so my only card left was a tri brigade monster and banish 1 golden lord instead, so im not sure how clutch that zeus actually was, couldve probably won either way.

Thank you! I would say cut the Zoodiac/Zeus engine altogether and just craft 1 Shuraig if you are short on gems. Or leave out Drident and just use Boarbow to attack and get Zeus online. As far as hand traps go.. DD Crow and Droll and Lockbird are decent alternatives. The deck is quite tight though, the more you cut the more its winrate will suffer. For early ranks thats ok, but in the long run you probably want most cards in here.

When I have too much stuff in the GY already I like to preserve some activators in the main deck. Just in case the opponent breaks the board. That way you'll have a higher chance of drawing into a tri brigade.
@@KuganeGaming ooh I see! Most videos I've seen just show the same starting combo of sending Fraktall, Kitt, and Nervall to the GY so it's nice to know you don't always have to do that if you want to play more conservatively. Thank you for answering!

Can you please explain which Tri brigade monster stops chain link and forces end of chain or can’t respond to? Also, what does popping tenki do ? Why do people talk about using drident to pop the tenki ? Tenki has no destruction clause? Can you please explain ?
Somebody may need to quote me on this, its been a while! But if I'm not mistaken we get to stack our chain links, so they can only negate the last chain link unless they use some kind of quick effect while each link resolves. So you can smartly stack the chains when you get a bunch of triggers to ensure, for example, that Shuraig gets its banish, or your trap card cannot be negated. In regards to Tenki, continuous spells need to resolve and be on the field to get their effect, unlike stuff like Reinforcement of the Army, so if they MST it before it resolves you don't get the search.
Alright I have a question sometimes when I summon a tri with the intent to banish from my grave to link summon it refuses too despite my graveyard being full of material.
Did you play anything that stops special summoning? Normally it should work. You can only activate it once per monster though, so if you summon 2 kerass for example, I think only 1 of the 2 can use the ability.
I had similar issues, sometimes I lose 2 to 4 games in a row, the next I win 6 in a row, lol. Overal my winrate is about 60% I would say, and I don't even have apalousa or whatever the bow is called 😂
Nice guide! Can you have multiple effects from the normal zoodiac cards when they are material? Example: piercing damage and banish the monster you attacked.
The only thing that confuses me is Kitt first play combos When I get to summoning karatt sometimes I can't use his on field affect and I don't know why
@@Kiwiiizzz I haven't had that problem before, if Karatt is on the field you should be able to activate him. I have seen some people having the yellow Lyri on the field stopping Tri Brigades from activating. The only thing I could think of is not having enough stuff in your graveyard to actually summon anything. So I'm sorry, but I don't have a solution I'm afraid :(.
@@ajx2956 If you craft a Secret or Ultra rare that is in one of the packs it unlocks that pack. Each card has an icon that shows in which pack you can obtain it. So you can always unlock the packs you need like that! :)
do you think its a good idea to have this as 3rd deck? i have sky-striker and dragonmaid, my friend recommended me vfd turbo as my next deck as he said its quite linear and easy to learn but idk, i kind of want to try this tri-zoo, though it seems expensive to build.
I think if you have Sky Striker already you might not need Tr Brigade unless you like the playstyle. If you need a VFD turbo, the Six Samurai deck I uploaded is quite consistent. I got a good plat grind deck coming to the channel this week though, very cheap to build too, hardly any URs. So maybe check back in a day or two when its up, I think you'll like that one.
I ended up buying some gems for this deck (since I need to create content), but I think I did 5 10 pack pulls to finish the core with 2 shuraig, drident, zeus, etc. And I think another 5 to 10 "10 pack" pulls for the handtraps, traps, etc. I had to destroy trash URs to craft most, super innefficiet. Also stuff like Maxx C, Ash Blossom, Infinite goes into lots of decks, so its not wasted gems. So my guess right now is to build the full deck with all the URs and smart pulling with secret packs. So I think a new account can build it with ease with the starter gems. 5 to 10k for the core and another 10 to 20k for the rest I suppose.
Can some 1 tell why the heck i cant activated fraktal on the board after i send nerval to the GY but only sometimes. When that happens i need to do a link summon first. After that i can use the board skill. I dont understand that why that happen just sometimes in the SAME 1st turn combo...So weired
If you have a link on board like ferrijit or bearbumm, you need to have the zone they point to be empty for further link summons with the tri-brigades. Because of this, I recommend never summoning your non-link monsters in your middle zone, but right beneath either of the two extra deck zones (the two zones in the middle)
@@KuganeGaming yeah I put slot of trap card monsters, this way I can defend my life points while I draw uria. That deck got me to silver before becoming less effective. After I switched to zoodiacs + tri-brigade
Salamangreat can make your tri brigade indestructible to card effects like Raigeki. Double dragons lets you bounce a card as a quick effect. So toolbox cards.
first time using this deck.. from what im seeing, the goal of this deck is to summon tri brigade shuraig and zoodiac drident as fast as possible and negate enemy cards as many as possible?
Pretty much. If you have the URs you can even get Apalousa on the field by linking into Bearbrumm to Shuraig in your op's turn. That way you got 2 creature negates + the shuraig banish.
Also at 8:29 you could have linked your nervall and Rugal into an accesscode talker and then used its effect to get rid of the set card and threaten for game :) Edit: Oh wait I just noticed you weren't running accesscode talker in your deck nvm but if you were you could have xD

@@jdturkdrcox For this deck my tip is Fraktall, GY kitt, GY Nervall, add Kerass. Normal summon a zoodiac, xyz to Drident..special summon kerass, activate kerass, to go for the link you want. Some of the link summons dont let you xyz the zoodiac, so its important to do it first.
Yes! Focus on getting the core first with all zoodiac and tri brigade monsters + the Zeus. Then after that Ash Blossoms and Infinite Impermanence, followed by Maxx C and such. Finally you can finish the extra deck. I think to build the whole deck is about 5 to 10k gems for the core. You can unlock the secret pack by crafting one of the SR tri brigades too, so you got a higher chance to pull cards without having to dismantle stuff. After that its a grind to get the rest. But the deck is playable with stuff like chalice, forbidden lance, etc. Getting the handtraps is tough because you need to dismantle URs... but sometimes you pull foil ones that give more UR crafting materials.

MAXX C is my least favorite card because of its annoying pop ups, wish we got to see you make decisions rather than talk over your replays, cool vid tho
Indeed! I wish there were a way to let it trigger on opponent effects only. Same with Ash Blossom. I think for now I will need to stick with replays for audience retention (RUclips growth can be harsh at times) once the channel reaches 5k or so subscribers, I should be able to do full on gameplay without it eating into the algorythm too much =).
Only by disenchanting your existing cards at a horrible rate of only 1/3rd of a card. You can earn them through the season pass as well. It is sad really. It makes building decks an expensive venture. One of the reasons I don't cover as much Yugioh content lately.

You get 1 zoodiac on the field and then you can put XYZs on top. Once you've attacked in with a XYZ you can turn it into Zeus.

Mine is doing fine in Plat so far, played about 10 games, won 8. But bad matchups are always a thing. Only faced 1 eld and 0 prankids.

i think its best to chose your prefered opening, going first or 2nd and build your deck arround that, if i always pick going first i would drop the nibirus and run the one solemn judgement you have and imperial order instead, your deck has nothing to protect itself from lightning storm or raigeki, doesnt really matter if you have a 3 negate Apollousa if the opponent opens with one of those 2 you lose. honestly going by that same logic, i im kinda tempted to cut the zoodiacs completely and run rescue cat combined with x saber airbellum to make turn 1 naturia beast, if i open naturia beast, 3 negate Apollousa and have a revolt set, come at me bro, you lose. i legit never use the zoodiacs, i usually just discard them to get more summons, if they have 5 cards set or a full board of monsters im legit hoping that my 1 zoodiac attack goes through to go into zeus, i mean good luck mate, that never happens.
The rescue cat combo line is valid, but a bit heavy on URs though. I would love to try it sometime, if only gems were a bit cheaper lol.
@@KuganeGaming i changed my mind a little towards the zoodiacs now, turns out the eldlich traps dont really do anything on their own, had a duel yesterday where i negated their only skill drain with solemn judgement, then every other summon i did got negated until i literally had 1 zoodiac left in hand, they only had like 3 eldlich traps left so i was actually able to go into a super clutch zeus and won with only 1 card, didnt expect that xD i still would love to try rescue cat one day when i have 3 or even just 1 copy xD also the only reason that duel was even close was because they won the coinflip and i went 2nd, if i went first they were done im pretty sure. also it was my choice to go into zeus, i couldve also made it so my only card left was a tri brigade monster and banish 1 golden lord instead, so im not sure how clutch that zeus actually was, couldve probably won either way.

Thank you! I would say cut the Zoodiac/Zeus engine altogether and just craft 1 Shuraig if you are short on gems. Or leave out Drident and just use Boarbow to attack and get Zeus online. As far as hand traps go.. DD Crow and Droll and Lockbird are decent alternatives. The deck is quite tight though, the more you cut the more its winrate will suffer. For early ranks thats ok, but in the long run you probably want most cards in here.

Nice video! I'm a pretty new player so this helps out a lot! I do have a question though, at 13:30 when you activated Fraktall you sent Nervall to the grave. I was just wondering why you didn't send Kitt and *then* Nervall to the grave to get as much material into the grave as possible?
When I have too much stuff in the GY already I like to preserve some activators in the main deck. Just in case the opponent breaks the board. That way you'll have a higher chance of drawing into a tri brigade.

Can you please explain which Tri brigade monster stops chain link and forces end of chain or can’t respond to? Also, what does popping tenki do ? Why do people talk about using drident to pop the tenki ? Tenki has no destruction clause? Can you please explain ?
Somebody may need to quote me on this, its been a while! But if I'm not mistaken we get to stack our chain links, so they can only negate the last chain link unless they use some kind of quick effect while each link resolves. So you can smartly stack the chains when you get a bunch of triggers to ensure, for example, that Shuraig gets its banish, or your trap card cannot be negated.
In regards to Tenki, continuous spells need to resolve and be on the field to get their effect, unlike stuff like Reinforcement of the Army, so if they MST it before it resolves you don't get the search.

Because I attacked with my XYZ it allows me to put Zeus on top of it. Its why you need all the materials so to can activate zeus twice.

Alright I have a question sometimes when I summon a tri with the intent to banish from my grave to link summon it refuses too despite my graveyard being full of material.
Did you play anything that stops special summoning? Normally it should work. You can only activate it once per monster though, so if you summon 2 kerass for example, I think only 1 of the 2 can use the ability.
I have the same problem, when I summon a tribrigate ad I have for example 2 monsters in my GY, I can't activate the effect

I had similar issues, sometimes I lose 2 to 4 games in a row, the next I win 6 in a row, lol. Overal my winrate is about 60% I would say, and I don't even have apalousa or whatever the bow is called 😂
I have an Eldlich, Drytron and Zoo Tri deck. All three are good, Eldlich is easier to use.

I have seen some people having the yellow Lyri on the field stopping Tri Brigades from activating. The only thing I could think of is not having enough stuff in your graveyard to actually summon anything. So I'm sorry, but I don't have a solution I'm afraid :(.

My tip is to craft any of the SR Tri-Brigade and open the Tri-Brigade secret pack until you got the URs you need! :)

@@ajx2956 If you craft a Secret or Ultra rare that is in one of the packs it unlocks that pack. Each card has an icon that shows in which pack you can obtain it. So you can always unlock the packs you need like that! :)

do you think its a good idea to have this as 3rd deck? i have sky-striker and dragonmaid, my friend recommended me vfd turbo as my next deck as he said its quite linear and easy to learn but idk, i kind of want to try this tri-zoo, though it seems expensive to build.
I think if you have Sky Striker already you might not need Tr Brigade unless you like the playstyle. If you need a VFD turbo, the Six Samurai deck I uploaded is quite consistent. I got a good plat grind deck coming to the channel this week though, very cheap to build too, hardly any URs. So maybe check back in a day or two when its up, I think you'll like that one.

I just started the game and I liked this deck. How many gems do I have to spend to create it?
I ended up buying some gems for this deck (since I need to create content), but I think I did 5 10 pack pulls to finish the core with 2 shuraig, drident, zeus, etc. And I think another 5 to 10 "10 pack" pulls for the handtraps, traps, etc. I had to destroy trash URs to craft most, super innefficiet. Also stuff like Maxx C, Ash Blossom, Infinite goes into lots of decks, so its not wasted gems.
So my guess right now is to build the full deck with all the URs and smart pulling with secret packs. So I think a new account can build it with ease with the starter gems. 5 to 10k for the core and another 10 to 20k for the rest I suppose.
Can some 1 tell why the heck i cant activated fraktal on the board after i send nerval to the GY but only sometimes. When that happens i need to do a link summon first. After that i can use the board skill. I dont understand that why that happen just sometimes in the SAME 1st turn combo...So weired
Are you running Lyrilisc? Some stop activations on the field I think.
If you have a link on board like ferrijit or bearbumm, you need to have the zone they point to be empty for further link summons with the tri-brigades. Because of this, I recommend never summoning your non-link monsters in your middle zone, but right beneath either of the two extra deck zones (the two zones in the middle)

@@KuganeGaming yeah I put slot of trap card monsters, this way I can defend my life points while I draw uria. That deck got me to silver before becoming less effective. After I switched to zoodiacs + tri-brigade

What are the salamangreat and Double dragon lords there for
Salamangreat can make your tri brigade indestructible to card effects like Raigeki. Double dragons lets you bounce a card as a quick effect. So toolbox cards.

first time using this deck.. from what im seeing, the goal of this deck is to summon tri brigade shuraig and zoodiac drident as fast as possible and negate enemy cards as many as possible?
Pretty much. If you have the URs you can even get Apalousa on the field by linking into Bearbrumm to Shuraig in your op's turn. That way you got 2 creature negates + the shuraig banish.

As far as I remember because droplet is a "Choose" effect, which isn't the same as targetting.
Also at 8:29 you could have linked your nervall and Rugal into an accesscode talker and then used its effect to get rid of the set card and threaten for game :)
Edit: Oh wait I just noticed you weren't running accesscode talker in your deck nvm but if you were you could have xD

@@jdturkdrcox For this deck my tip is Fraktall, GY kitt, GY Nervall, add Kerass. Normal summon a zoodiac, xyz to Drident..special summon kerass, activate kerass, to go for the link you want. Some of the link summons dont let you xyz the zoodiac, so its important to do it first.

Just the standard ones so far, havent messed with settings yet. I should though, so much stuff is clunky.
Is this deck easy to build on a new account?
Yes! Focus on getting the core first with all zoodiac and tri brigade monsters + the Zeus. Then after that Ash Blossoms and Infinite Impermanence, followed by Maxx C and such. Finally you can finish the extra deck.
I think to build the whole deck is about 5 to 10k gems for the core. You can unlock the secret pack by crafting one of the SR tri brigades too, so you got a higher chance to pull cards without having to dismantle stuff. After that its a grind to get the rest. But the deck is playable with stuff like chalice, forbidden lance, etc.
Getting the handtraps is tough because you need to dismantle URs... but sometimes you pull foil ones that give more UR crafting materials.
Went ahead and made a Sky Striker video, that deck is also easy to build on a new account in case you are still pondering what to play! :)

Indeed! I wish there were a way to let it trigger on opponent effects only. Same with Ash Blossom. I think for now I will need to stick with replays for audience retention (RUclips growth can be harsh at times) once the channel reaches 5k or so subscribers, I should be able to do full on gameplay without it eating into the algorythm too much =).

How do you get craft points? You can’t buy them?
Only by disenchanting your existing cards at a horrible rate of only 1/3rd of a card. You can earn them through the season pass as well. It is sad really. It makes building decks an expensive venture. One of the reasons I don't cover as much Yugioh content lately.
