Someone in every generation on both sides of my family has served, even all the way back to the Revolutionary war. We have always thought it's a honor to serve and preserve this country and democracy around the world. War sucks but sometimes a necessary evil and sometimes it's been used for private contractor profits. I know several vets who have taken early retirement to get and keep their benefits.
These are the facts: 160 billion will be cut in disability benefits, 69 billion from VA medical for "low priority" veterans (whatever that means), 37.5 billion from veterans that can't prove their disability is service related. Koch brothers-funded Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) wants to dismantle the VA and make TRICARE 100% private.
If you know who wins in November it's only going to get worse for veterans. In July Raw Story wrote: " Project 2025 will rob veterans and active duty troops of billions in benefits" We lose 22 veterans each day to suicide and Project 2025 will cause even more to take their lives if they lose the meager benefits most get now. I'm really terrified for our veterans especially the disabled ones. Project 2025 will weaken our military cuz kids won't join and it could cause a draft. I read all 920 pages of the horrors of Project 2025 and there isn't a man woman or child it won't effect unless of course you're a millionaire or billionaire cuz they get trillions in tax cuts while the rest of us pay for tariffs on everything which will cost about $1,500 a year for every person including children.

As a retired U. S. Army Officer, all I want is for Trump to fade away. And stay away. I served from Reagan to Obama and never once did I feel that our Commander-in- chief loved himself over his country. They weren't perfect but they were loyal to Country. Trump doesn't nor has he ever cared about anything more than he does himself. MAGA will never care but we can remove the stench of hatred and divisiveness in November.
