Eulogy is most definitely about L. Ron Hubbard and false prophets in general. L. Ron and Maynard have history you might say...and no Maynard was not a scientologist...LOL Edit: Please do the Salival Live version of Pushit, hell you may as well do the whole Salival album, it's completely insane! Salival Third Eye is a whole nuther experience too, hits even harder than the studio in my opinion.
Sitting here asking myself why this didn't show up in the algorithm in the past few years. Because it's brand new! That's why! Let's fucking go. Yup. Every album is a huge step up from the previous album. So if this is something you want to do, there's a lot to hear.
It is for sure something I want to do. I Love discovering new music. I've heard of tool for a while, just wasn't the right time I guess. It's been such a good ride so far
Eulogy is the song that cemented Tool in my S-tier bands. Def partial to that one. One thing to note on lyrics is they take a specific person or subject, but use entendres and metaphors to make that experience universal. Like I think Eulogy could be anyone in power who thinks too highly of themselves over the others who follow. Work, politics, grifters, religion…
HWAP was one of the standouts when I saw them last year. Almost 30 years later, and they played this and the whole arena went wild. The energy was nuts, such an underrated banger
Wicked good reaction vid bud. No doubt you'll become a die hard 🤘🏼 Awesome that you appreciated the song Jimmy 🔥🔥 Pushit is my fav off this album, but the entire album is so frigging good. Definitely a 10. Awesome that you appreciate Adam's guitar work too. He's so good at setting a mood. Cheers, enjoy the ride and spiral out 🌀🌀🌀
Thank you dude! I appreciate the comment and support brother. I went back and listened to most of the album again today. Jimmy still just hits so good! Adam for sure sets a mood. It's really unlike anything I've heard and it's beautiful
@@Stonedreviews283Maynard's 2 other bands are Puscifer and A Perfect Circle. Both are amazing!! Puscifer: Humbling River and or The Remedy APC: Judith or Orestes, but honestly you could pick anything from either band and be entertained 😊
Was waiting for you to drop this!! I’m happy you’re seeing the true genius of Danny Carey. Top 5 drummer of all time! This album is a masterpiece and it only gets better after this. Don’t forget to check out their salival album as well 🤘
Yeah dude his drumming really shined through on this album. Thank you for the comment and thanks for watching! I used to play drums, so I kinda tune myself most into that. Not to downplay the other instruments, I just love and appreciate drums. I looked into their salival album and its a live album. It looks like there are songs I haven't heard on there yet so I'll listen tk it last!
great idea to do it last. also, you need to check out the danny carey drum cam to the song "pneuma" when you finally listen to it! you'll see why they call him the octopus@@Stonedreviews283
Only band I know that actually requires research and study in order to fully immerse yourself after the first listen. Each song is such a branch building the whole tree. Loving your reactions ❤ This is Justin Chancellor's first album playing bass. He's an enigma. There's a nice video out there about him; more current. When you watch them live the minimalism behind Adam's playing is striking. He barely moves but his vibe is really cool. You'll get to Danny's drum cam vid of Pneuma and will see why he is the current GOAT after N. Peart. Maynard? Genius. This album won them a Grammy for the single AEnema. Every song is explained here... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86nima Note: if you listen to full Tool albums you'll need an ice pack for your neck 😂
Yeah ive definitely learned I need explanations or to look deeper into the song meanings after first listens. Which honestly makes me like the song even more after knowing the meaning! Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun with the reactions and finding new music. I've been missing g out on them! I'll give that link a watch for sure. Thanks for the info!
Useful idiot is just the sound that you normally hear at the end of a vinyl record. It's a troll to make people who bought the vinyl copy flip their record before the next song played.
Third Eye facts: Bill hicks the comedian is the person speaking in the intro. 1:10:53 Adam jones uses a woman’s vibrator as a guitar slide to make this sound. 1:22:49 he also uses a vibrator to make this guitar solo
Ænema = pronunciation (ON-ema) A play on Anima (female power) and Enema (a colonic). Mother nature gives humanity an enema. Noah's Ark 2.0 Spiral out, brother. 🙏
Useful Idiot is intended to be listened to *immediately* before 46 & 2. It's a palette cleanser; makes some breathing room after H, builds suspense, then suddenly cuts as the riff of 46 & 2 comes in. The clue's in the title of the song; the song *is* a useful idiot. It serves a purpose but means nothing in itself.
welcome to the army...🤩
Thank you :)

THIS IS TOOL'S BEST
Fun fact about Dier von Satan. Its a pot cookie recipe. Shows TOOL'S sense of humor. 😂
Lmao dude thats fucking dope. Not at all what I wouldve imagined
Just remember every Tool song you hear is going to be your favorite 😉
Very true statement indeed

Eugology was a great fucking song. It really set the tone. Makes sense about the metaphors. I really like that about them
Love the tattoo! That's my favorite Edgar Allen Poe poem!

Maynard's megaphone antics..LOL...Eulogy is an absolute banger!! Sub'd for more Tool!
thanks for the sub bro! It's an amazing journey
46 and 2 are about cromisomes... The next level of Evolution

The voice at the beginning of "Third Eye" is comedian Bill Hicks.🌀
You'll find that each time that you listen to Tool that it just gets better and better
I've noticed that lol it's unbelievable
Most people thing eulogy is about L Ron Hubbard. Founder of scientology
I wouldve not thought that at all. But that is interesting. I'm watching a video soon to get more explain of the meanings
Yep.

Eulogy is about L Ron Hubbard the founder of Scientology
🌀❤️
Did you notice that the intermission riff was the intro riff to Jimmy?
I just hope we listen to Opiate at some point. What an amazing LP
Coming up for sure!

H is supposedly about Maynard’s son.
It's his son's middle initial so....
'My blood before me begs my to open up my heart again' ...Seeing his young son innocence.
Wherws stinkfist?
Fosforescente bottons in desert sand… something like that…. It’s a peyote trip; not DMT
Phosphorescent is the word he uses
