@@SaintsUnscripted That is so awesome that you guys got back to me!!! Since I joined church on January 7th, I just beard my testimony for my first time yesterday. I did my best at it, I was kinda nervous. I shared it yesterday on Facebook. I also shared a picture of my missionary friend that baptized me with the Daily Joy book he gave to me 2 weeks ago. I just need to work on saying it in front of people. 🙂
I had my mission over 40 years ago and the experience still stays with me. I'll be retiring soon and I plan on going on a full time mission with my wife. One of the greatest callings I had was a Ward Mission Leader. We love the missionaries.
I am 33 years old and was baptized just over a month ago on January 16. In a lot of ways I feel disappointed that I'm past the age to serve as a missionary, although I do have senior missionary service to look forward to in a few decades. I'm immensely grateful for the missionaries that served me, and the ones that still meet with me for scriptural study. It's also important to note that we are all disciples of Christ and we needn't necessarily be on a missionary service in order to help people find the Church. Even by watching this video I can tell everyone feels the spirit and feels very much alive in their service. Thank you all!

Why didn’t you interview any Sister missionaries? The first guy you interviewed said his patriarchal blessing said he should serve a mission I thinking every male in the church is told that in his blessing.
Well the elders were the ones who reached out to us, and our studio happens to be in their area. We wish we had a vast pool of elder and sister missionaries we could pull in and interview at will but unfortunately that's not how it works. ;) haha And yeah, a lot of guy's patriarchal blessings do mention serving a mission, but it doesn't make the blessing any less personal or impactful to the individual. When I got my blessing I was a week from submitting my papers, but the mention of serving a mission still drove the Spirit home to my heart - and that portion of my blessing continued to bring the Spirit and give me hope all throughout my mission as well, so there's that. :)
