- What is the cost of living in #Croatia in 2024? I tried to explain the living expenses in Croatia and #Ireland like rent, food cost, electric bill and broadband/wi-fi. It is Ireland vs. Croatia comparison! Information provided in this video about costs and expenses is purely based on my experience and it might differ from person to person.
If living in a major city like Dublin is your dream, the cost of living there, as in any major city, will be higher. Rent can start at 800€ and run as high as 2,200€ ! So how much is it in Yagreb, Croatia? Meals when you’re out and about in Ireland can run you between 11€ and 16€, but this is no mere bowl of soup. So how much is it in Croatia?
It is estimated that a family of four would need approximately 6,000 EUR per month to live comfortably in Ireland. So what is cost of living in Croatia in comparison? This takes into account the costs of everyday living expenses, transport and housing and allows for disposable income.

About the twist, people in my country saying what living in European country much more expensive.
But they are trying to compare prices, but not percentages.

Oh yeah, I forgot, if person want to live in ok flat, 2 bedrom from 1. Floor and upon that is going to be minimum 650 € but usually more.
If person want to live in good flat, from first flor and more the good flats start from 1000€ and more....
You cannot have kids or pets or anyone who can demage the furniture. Also it is usuall that flats are not for wholle year so person needs to find another flat before tourism seasone start. This is reallity.
People in Croatia are so afraid of what will be next month, would I still have job or not and what then. Could I find flat where I can have children... Many people live in much much worse situations.

No rentals is a sad worldwide situation! Over here, we choose whether to pay our electricity monthly, 2 monthly, or 3 monthly!

Ok, this is going to be interesting.
Let's start from job -pay.
Because the country is poor, people in 80% cannot be well paid so we get minimum by the low and that is 740 € per month. That is sallary.
For me, as I live in landlord house, a little flat in basement I pay 580 € per month. And to me it is cheper because her friend told her that I am good and so she didn't say to me full price.
I am living alone because the flat is so small so my partner can't live with me.
He also has small sallary so it is what it is. If we want to have children for 2 years from now, we can't , we don't have money. With his sallary + mine we just live, waiting for next month to get sallary. Expensess are from 300 - 700 and more, it depens of people. Food, You don't live here and that what You said is "cheep" but it's not.... For example, my friend with 3 kids and her husband live in small flat, 1,5 room, they have credit in the bank for next 25 year.
She cannot get the job, Croatia syndrome I gess, her husband have 1200€, after they pay credit and expensess they don't have money for food or staff for children like chlothes or books so her and his family send them food, etc. Reality is much different. No job, no money, future isn't so bright but, we have sun.

@@CorrkyThat's way a lot of Croats came to live in Ireland. Because people have the oportunity to work. And to get paid inaf to live and as I hear, they have inaf money to have fine life. And because his/her work is worth it. That is very important.
Prices in Croatia not bad at all.

@@Corrkyyour home town is such a beautiful place with terrific weather. Looks like a place that people would want to retire in when they make there money and want to enjoy the sunny weather. Ireland more of a place to earn more money and try to save given the bad weather year round.
