Voting is pointless, its suppose be your avatar be creative and what we get? 1. Random pics that doesn't fit any category 2. Pics where people screenshot a monster/cute/villian inside the game instead your avatar 3. Trash blank avatars where people just put a big picture from a creepypasta, horror movie, horror series and so on like the russian sleep experiment for example. Trash event and trash rewards i miss the old good events back from 2015-2018 where roblox still cared for the playerbase and made them fun and good quality after 2019 there was almost no events but some time later roblox started metaverse and the downfall was even worse, pathetic roblox devs, pathetic metaverse, pathetic decisions and more.

i honestly fucking despise when people say this like woah one popular game themed after something you dislike is in the roster out of like 20 other games in the event and you don't even have to play it dealbreaking, how dare roblox put one game themed after skibidi toilet for their audience of primarily little kids, never playing another roblox event in my life

It wouldn't even be much of a problem if those slop games actually had effort put into their entries to the event, but they almost always don't. This causes tedious and boring event games that, if you're a completionist, you feel the need to play.

It kinda sucks that the items aren't obtained from the games chosen from the event. It does mean I, as a completionist, am able to skip slop games like Toilet Tower Defense and Pull A Sword but there's no incentive to really do any of it at all unless you just wanna have fun in certain games you know. The in-hub items are really cool, once you get them, though! The lantern is kinda underwhelming but I like that it has a blue glow, the key giving you the ability to teleport anywhere is kinda fun to mess around with, and the cloak giving you invisibility is kinda fun too. The actual things you do to get them aren't as fun though. The cemetary is just "dig for like 20 minutes until the game decides you can stop", the maze has teleporters and I think I managed to go every way except for the right way, and the hot and cold minigame with the mirrors could be fun... IF THE BUTTON PROMPTS WORKED- It took me forever because I didn't even know you could interact with the mirror that ended up being correct because you had to be in a very specific spot for the gaze prompt to show up. Update: the cart makes you move faster which WOULD HAVE been useful, but the fact you get it after doing the maze and the cemetary kinda nullifies it's use entirely because if you need to get somewhere just use the key instead. The quest you do to get it is literally just a reskin of the cemetary, too (which sucks more actually because a lot of the pumpkins are well-hidden.)
How to have fun: try to acctualy make avatar for one of categories: you start in catalog avatar creator and make good avatar in it, copy avatar items' names then go one of the games and make a pic. If you have any avatar that you own and can be put in any categorie you can try to make the background in piggy build mode, but not expect it to be good if you dont know offsets. So is the haunt good? No, but not bad either. Its something different from previos events and can be acctualy quite fun if you know what to do (unlike just complaining and making some mid pics) People are just expected dev hunt
That would be great and all, except 95% of all submissions aren’t even of avatars. They’re just people taking screenshots of NPCs in games-completely ruining the point of dressing up your avatar. So it doesn’t matter if you spend all this time making an avatar or picking a nice backdrop. Because you’re going to get overshadowed by 100 pictures of the same Mimic monster. It completely takes any fun out of it

I’d just consider this “event” another variation of the innovation awards, but it’s an rng-fest for who wins and anyone can participate. Of course it depends on what your definition of “event” means in terms of an official roblox event, but mine isn’t “take screenshot and vote a few times”, it’s just the innovation awards at that point but slightly different instead of an actual event (atleast for me). Also this is talking about only the actual event itself, not the games in it, since the games don’t have anything to progress in the event apart from letting you be able to take screenshots for voters, which in my opinion still doesn’t classify as an actual event.
The games sucked, but this one is way better. The haunt has stuff to do, and a ton of items. You can wander around, you have many areas and quests to do, and it’s just more fun. Although the screenshot avatar contest voting things do suck, but overall it is the best event. It is pretty great.

meh i disagree i find it fun, way better than the games and the hunt (potentially on par with the classic) i like making new avatars for each of the categories and by extension new characters, i like looking for a perfect game to take a good enough picture for people to actually, you know Vote for me, i don't really like the hub missions but they're like Whatever, and the accessories are great! i just really wish the leaderboard for each of the categories wasn't full of people either not making avatars for the category and just taking random pictures, pictures of the game itself and not the avatar or in the case of the cute category, just straight up real photos of cats and dogs.
i don't think the recent events are necessarily bad, i think the playerbase was SPOILED by the events before 2019 and after 2015. if the modern events like the hunt were in old roblox (no, 2014 and above isn't old roblox), the people would lose their marbles, they'd be considered masterpieces. also, the haunt would fit perfectly with some of the older events which were just contests.

meh i disagree i find it fun, way better than the games and the hunt (potentially on par with the classic)
i like making new avatars for each of the categories and by extension new characters, i like looking for a perfect game to take a good enough picture for people to actually, you know Vote for me, i don't really like the hub missions but they're like Whatever, and the accessories are great!
i just really wish the leaderboard for each of the categories wasn't full of people either not making avatars for the category and just taking random pictures, pictures of the game itself and not the avatar or in the case of the cute category, just straight up real photos of cats and dogs.
i don't think the recent events are necessarily bad, i think the playerbase was SPOILED by the events before 2019 and after 2015. if the modern events like the hunt were in old roblox (no, 2014 and above isn't old roblox), the people would lose their marbles, they'd be considered masterpieces. also, the haunt would fit perfectly with some of the older events which were just contests.

Alright objectively im not too mad because at least its not some soulless badge hunter in a crappy games which takes 5000 years. the prizes are alright but i feel that it should of been more you know engaging and something to do like but i hate the voting because either you wear a cube with an image of a cat, take a photo of the map or take a photo of the floor and first place is yours but hey at least there is something.

I think boss fights are usually done wrong in events and most popular roblox games because most of the time they're bullet sponges, I'll say that some roblox games have actually ok boss fights

wish i could say i didn't agree with you. it's very disappointing, roblox is capable of making really good events. this one sucks really bad, but some of the items are pretty cool

@@human_sushi sorry, i should have clarified what i meant. when i said i wanted egg hunts back, i meant the TRUE egg hunts like 2018 and 2017 where you could get all the eggs in one game. those were the best egg hunts, but there were a few games that were actually really fun in the dev hunts
