Fantastic idea!! It's nice to know I'm not the only women who loves being in the workshop and creating things :) Will definatly be doing this for my dog. He will love this. plus it will stop my daughter accidently tipping his bowls over when shes crawling around. Thanks!!
I like your design, but I would have put the side pieces under the top piece, instead of along side the top piece's edges. That way there are no grooves/cracks for water and dog food dust to get caught in. The top would be smooth all the way to the edge.
I love it. I'm using yours as an inspiration to make mine for my 2 huskies with a larger water dish in the center. I bought a Kreg jig today & I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I wish you woukd have gone into more detail on that. But I do love it.
love the simplicity and rustic look. I want to make one for our dog and your video was super easy to follow :) thanks for mentioning the font as well :)
Super cute 💖💖 i want too make one for my dogs 🐶 we're in the middle off making the whole house over 😱OMG I've always loved the farmhouse look so that's what I want the house to look like..it's gonna be beautiful I hope 🤞🏼 🙃I look at your videos for inspiration I love it 💖
Holy! I clicked on your vid because I'm planning to make one of these and the dog's name is Maverick which is mine's as well so I couldn't resist but then you said your name was Shannon too! What a coincidence that we share the same names and dog names! Enjoyed the video, looks beautiful.
This may be a feeding station for everyone else but for me it is, another wooden platform for my do to chew on, lol. Hopefully he won't bite it and he'll only use it for eating and drinking!😊
11:56 A 3/4" or 1/2" piece of scrap wood under that leg would hold everything level and make the entire process much easier while you are screwing it together.
Maverick is such a cutie. I`m sure he`s a wonderful new addition to your family : ) He sure is one blessed little puppy to get a custom-made dog bowl stand! We tried one of these out for our Springer Spaniel, but he was so used to me holding his dish up for him when he eats (messy eater and it`s also better for digestion) that he wouldn`t have anything to do with it! So spoiled! I guess you can tell who runs the household - lol! : )
OMG I just came from Walmart I got that white paint your putting I ran and I got the bag from Walmart and I took it out and I'm like great my blind ass got paint instead of glue it pays to wear your glasses that's all I have to say I love your videos
I love your tools that you are using. I am a beginner when it comes to choosing the right hand tools for my projects. Only because there are so many to choose from. Your work is amazing. Which ones do you recommend?
OMG Shannon, another awesome project. I have two dogs, a black lab and a Belgium shepherd and need to make this for each of them. I wish I could make these right now, unfortunately I can't because I am recuperating from a partial knee replacement I had last Friday. I am so bored and want to get up and do some projects. Can't wait😩
Hi, again! I am enjoying your videos and getting inspired to get my tools out, so thank you for that! I have a regular Skill brand jigsaw and wonder if it would work to cut circles like this. I believe you said in one of your videos that you have a special saw for cutting circles. Would you mind sharing about that with me? Thanks!
+Aracelis Escalona Awe!! Yeah, your puppy would probably fit inside one of his bowls 😂 They are so cute, my grandma had one for a long time. Loved him ❤️
We are getting a service dog for my son at the end of the year. When he is full grown, he'll be around 65lbs they said. He is currently 5.5 months old and will come home around a year.. Would you say your measurements that you used, would be a good fit for our dog? I love this!
I love this! Thanks. Any suggestions of what I need to do in order to make this as I will be keeping it outside....We feed our boy outside bcs the cats will eat his food and get sick all over the house lol
If you have a router and a standard printer you could print the name out on the paper and then tape it to the wood and then just router the lettering out :) and then of course paint it
The holes look terrible. Next time find the center of your circle and use a router with a circle jig to cut the hole slightly smaller than your traced line so the bowls don't fall through

Great video...I think I referenced it like 4 times already..lol
Мастер на все руки!!!
Good one my friend. TFS. Stay connected 🙂
I want to try this. Do you remember the measurements for the frame? The 2 end pieces and the 2 front and back pieces? You did a great job!!
You’re gorgeous! and it’s so impressive that you did this!

Seems simple I’ll try to do it even though I don’t have a workshop LOL
How did you do the lettering ? I need to know it's beautiful 😍😍
Ok I'm making this. It's so cute. So you screwed the legs into the top?
Is it just me or did she make the bowls offset? Just curious. It's super cute.
Did a fine job but I’d suggest using a c-clamp to hold the wood down in place before using a saw to cut. Overall great vid 👍🏽👍🏽
love it...a beautiful piece of furniture❤. sent this tutorial to my husband...let's cross our fingers 😉
+Jasmine Gomez-Zavala Fingers crossed for you!!
Pretty! It turned out great! Love his name on it!
+Shelly Watson Thanks!!! I'm so glad my daughter suggested it! It totally made the whole piece

+Vicky Longcrier ❤️❤️❤️
What size screws did you use for the legs?
Love this. I’m going to make some. How do you know how far up the wooden leg to make the kreg jig hole?

Shannon, what are the overall dimensions of your dog riser and what size dog bowls did you please. We also have a new puppy named Maverick.
it’s lovely works!!

Great project. Love it! Maverick is a blessed doggie.
ps. too big for my Lola (Chihuahua ). Lol

Aw! Congrats! That's got to be so exciting! Mav is right around 65 lbs and this still works perfect for him so I'd say it'd be great for you guys too.
I love this! Thanks. Any suggestions of what I need to do in order to make this as I will be keeping it outside....We feed our boy outside bcs the cats will eat his food and get sick all over the house lol
I love this and am so excited to make one for my French Bulldog Moose! is the stain and paint pet safe?
This is great! So simple too! How did you do the lettering? Freehand or stencils?
What stencils and paint did you use for the names? Looks great!
Hi! I as well would love to know how you did the lettering for his name? Would have liked to have seen that in the video as well :)
I'm curious how many coats of the polycrylic did u use one this
It´s really really pretty! You´re so talented! Tfs
+Rosi Carrillo ❤️❤️❤️
very nice
I'm been thinking of doing just that for our little girl Jaq. What type is you dog.
+Kellie Westley He is German Shepard mix. We are waiting for a DNA test to come back any day to see what he's mixed with :)
did you figure out what he's mixed with?
She works in shorts and flip-flops but makes sure to wear those gloves
PLEASE PLEASE tell me how you did the lettering...I LOVE IT!!!! THANKS!!!!
I have a Silhouette Cameo and made a stencil

Wood filler ?
