In this video I gave myself what I like to call a "Goddess Glow Up Avatar Upgrade."
We upgraded the haircut and color, lash perm, brow lamination, and wardrobe from Royal Codes all in Bali! Thank the Goddess because all of these services were SO much cheaper than they would be in the US. I had been feeling a bit like I was neglecting my physical appearance slightly, so this was very needed. After having gone through a pretty deep inner transformation these past few months, I felt like an outer transformation was necessary. It's amazing how much how we look and present ourselves impacts how we feel. Taking care of our physical bodies and looking our best is a sign of true self worth and self respect. I hope this video inspires you in some way and reminds you that you deserve to look and feel your best!

I have always loved getting dressed up and doing makeup as a kind of way to adorn myself as a Goddess, and I can't tell you how many times I have been judged or even shamed in psychospiritual spaces I frequent because of that. So many comments like "You know you don't need to wear makeup, you are beautiful without"". Thanks, yeah I know, I do this for me because energetically, it makes me feel good!

I have recently been learning/re-learning about how to take care of my physical appearance more outside of just eating healthy and exercising. As a 33 y/o mom of 2 kids I've neglected things like cutting/doing my hair, makeup, and nails, and even wearing things that make me feel good. I recently purged 90% of the clothes in my closet and have invested in new clothes and hair care products. It feels amazing!! Thank you for making content like this, you're truly inspiring

I have also really struggled with this my whole life. Feeling super masculine & competitive. Being super sporty, playing baseball, soccer, floor hockey, you name it. I’ve been on teams for it! I felt into my feminine energy for a few years, and it felt soo good! Life then lead me into doing a school bus conversion, then we got into construction. I feel like such a dude all the time! Anddd doing much makeup, or bothering to style my hair when I’m going to get dirty… Or look too pretty on a job site, dealing with clients… I dunno. I miss my cute clothes! I miss makeup, getting dolled up! My career as a hairstylist almost pushed me to the total opposite realm! I got so sick of having to get done up everyday… This really resonated with me Sky! As long as striving towards an ideal beauty doesn’t cost the earth then it can be used as path towards empowerment and awakening
For the longest while I held my appearance at an arms length because of what someone told me when I was young. I didn't take care of myself and I eventually fell into depression. When I began to come out, part of it had a lot to do with dealing with self loathing. I had to take a look at what I experienced, not caring one leaf about how I looked and how I felt when I started looking after myself. (Simple things that doing mirror work, changing the type of soap I used. Creating a skin routine. Drinking more water and getting exercise. I realised that what I was doing to myself wasn't worth the pain. I was making myself sick, perpetuating self defeating ideals. I learnt that caring for yourself and how you look isn't vanity. It's self love. It's all about where the need is coming from.
Just wanna say the part where you said “I can just see my face aging” I was telling myself ugh but can we not agree with the negative talking in our heads that yes we’re aging and not in a good way then you said “but I feel like I look better than my early 20s” YES!!!! I agree so much!!!! That’s also a belief of mine is that no matter how I’m aging I will age gracefully and continue to grow beautifully .

I LOVED YOUR VIDEO and I feel you sooo much 8 I was 100% into internal transformation for yeaaars but something was missing : having beautiful feminine clothes, taking more care of hair and skin too. Of course only natural products :) I use eggs and Rhassoul for my hair, natural oils, for my skin too, and now my husband wants to do a glowup too and asked if we could try for a few weeks rice water on the skin haha :) That's so important to feel good to take care of everything actually : face, hair, clothing, sport...
