You’re looking healthier every video! Just imagine at the end of this you’re running into a friend at campus and you decide to get a coffee together. Her saying “that carrotcake looks really nice, but that muffin also I cant choose” and you saying, without thinking about it: “lets get them both and split them” and you both enjoy it and the conversation without ever having a second thought about it

A great name for calories is ENERGY POINTS! Elzani (another amazing ED recovery youtuber) calls them this and I love it- it changes the mindset from "budgeting" how many calories you "spend" to making the aim about "scoring" as many energy points as you can! That's the objective, like Mario collecting his coins- the more points, the closer you are to levelling up in the game.

    • @taylorlaverdiere2463

I am in anorexia recovery but recovery, at least for me, is always going to be hard. I have since met my boyfriend who is really weird with food and is really focused on getting as many nutrients and as much energy as possible into his system. Although his obsession with food could've easily had a negative effect on my eating disorder, somehow it really helps me understand that food IS energy and that you get all possible building blocks that you need from food and it really helps.

    1. Eating Out (You can’t portion size and you don’t know the macros)
    2. Instant Meals (Most People who work or have school don’t have enough time to make a nice meal every day so they typically just eat whatever is quicker. Some examples are: Frozen Pizza, Ramen, and Frozen Meals.)

I’m curious how other people’s relationship with food affects yours. Like for example, when you asked your mom to try something she did without even thinking, this is something I noticed with people who don’t have any kind of disordered eating. When I was fighting to heal my relationship with food, I had to break my fear of just tasting other food without hanging a meal.

Love you so much Ro, you're so so brave, and the way that you push yourself is such an inspiration. I literally just recovered from anorexia and obviously it was such a rollercoaster, and the breakdowns are honestly the WORST! But you are honestly such an inspiration as you just take every day as it comes and i think you are doing so so well. You have something that i never had at the beginning of recovery which is to continue to push even though you are terrified. I'm sixteen and know that even though you are a tiny bit older it's still just as hard for you as it was for me, but keep going and oh my goodness i would love if you could respond to this, it would make my day. Love you so much and we can push through this. Keep being strong and brave and you WILL beat it! xxxxx

Just wanted to remind anyone who might be experiencing 'extreme hunger': it's normal if your body isn't happy with the amount you used to eat, and wants a bit more until it's satisfied. That sensation is valid, so just listen to it and please don't get angry with yourself 😌

A tofu tip: your silken tofu was kinda falling apart when you fried it, silken tofu is better for when you are putting it straight into soup without frying first, hard tofu is the best choice for whenever you want to fry it. On the whole though well done on trying new foods, especially tofu which lots of people won't eat anyway

Ro, I just have to say that you’re sounding SO full of life! The way you’re talking, joking, moving around, even your facial expressions... such a difference from your first videos and I absolutely love to see it!!! 😍♥️ It’s like the light switched on in your soul and I’m so very happy for you.
I would love to see you do some sort of “eat right out of the package” challenge someday! Something where you don’t portion your snacks into bowls or onto plates, you just eat from the box/bag/whatever until your tummy says you’re happy and full. ♥️ That’s something I had to work through myself and I think it would be so good for others to see you absolutely crush. 💪🏼
Continuing to cheer you on and challenge things right along with you! 🙌🏼 thank you for the incredible encouragement that these videos are.

I discovered your videos yesterday and I'm literally binge-watching them all! I keep on going back and forth in time and every time I am so impressed by how far you've come and how strong you are!!! I don't know you, but I'm so proud of you. The fact that your family is so supportive makes me happy and also the way you communicate your thoughts and actually let others help you is so strong!
I'm currently going through a breakup and I feel like I'm on the verge of getting an eating disorder. I used to have a really bad relationship to food and for the first time in my life I've been able to lose weight healthily and slowly with the help of my now ex-boyfriend. Now that that support is gone I keep telling myself I never did it for me but for him and on the other hand I feel like I'm developing a fear of foods but constantly think about eating them. My thoughts are going back and forth and watching your videos makes me realize that all of that is nonsense.
You might have just contributed to keep me from falling into that deep dark hole!!! Thank you so much ❤ I am overly thankful you're sharing this journey and showing us how important it is to challenge yourself and to talk about it openly without letting your brain filter what you're saying and what you're actually thinking.

I love how frequently you're uploading rn, I literally sit clicking refresh on YT waiting for new videos of yours! Watching how much more positive and free you feel with each new upload is really inspiring. That's been the main difference I've noticed on your journey so far, just way fewer intrusive ED thoughts and if they do come up you bat them away so much more easily and positively now with your amazing mindset. I feel so happy seeing you recover week on week, thank you 🤗🥰

I ate a massive fear food at school for the first time in recovery today! It was super hard bc once of my rules was that I couldn’t let people see me eat, and I was also at school so it was a unfamiliar environment/I didn’t have the comfort of going to my room and crying if it got too much 😅 your videos are so inspiring!

A little suggestion for the tofu, when you coat it use a plastic bag and gently shake them to get coated, the tofu will not crouble. Also puthalf of it in the pan at a time with space in between and turn them on all sides with chopsticks. It will be amazing, crunchy outside and soft inside
