What I liked in the fight between Gilgamesh anf Iskandar is that it showed us that Gilgamesh is not the kind of character that looks down on everything. I believe Nasu did not really got involved with Fate/GO Main Storyline until Camelot. Befor Camelot, the story was made by other people which is why the storyline suddenly became darker in Camelot arc.

Basically, people that are a step above mongrels and slightly more valuble than dirt, but will never measure up to the one and only Enkidu. Basically, a friend in all but name. With Enkidu as his best/true friend. Just because you're not friends with him doesn't mean you don't still have value. Him simply acknowledging you is enough.
It is both touching and sad that Gilgamesh cares so deeply about Enkidu. While they’ve gotten along quite well in other works, I can only imagine what Enkidu would think of this particular incarnation of Gilgamesh.

FSN Gilgamesh is at first enraged by his defiance, but he becomes intrigued and somewhat amused. He then offers Ritsuka a deal. If Ritsuka can solve the mystery of an anomaly disrupting the Holy Grail War before four Servants are defeated (less easy than you’d think because there are many this time) Gil will voluntarily abandon his current ambition and aid him. If he can’t, Gilgamesh will throw Ritsuka into the Grail Mud. EDIT: Nothing more on that story because it hasn’t progressed far beyond that.

Fun fact : Enkido was actually sent by the goddes to kill gilgamesh, instead they both became friends and as the plan backfired (by the gods) they took enkidu and left gilgamesh brocken, (yea i read sht like this ok)
