    Hey Jeep Momma, how did the Corroseal area hold up? Seems like this was a little while ago.

    There is spot on my driver side. My father said he fixed it. Well he put bondo or something on there and some grey stuff before spraying over it with flex seal and the rust is heavily pitted now. Basic sand paper n steel wool wont even begin to remove it.
    Light rust is easily removed with acetone. Ive used it on my guns. Removes rust and it stays gone. But on a car. Its not so easy when its heavily pitting.

    thank you for this!!! I live in an area where the dept. of hiway uses salt, it leaves a light paste like film on my Jeep (2014) especially underneath, almost like a slurry tbh, I try to wash my Jeep but with temps dipping down to -40c...anyway you get the idea.

    • @JeepMomma
      @JeepMomma  4 года назад +1

      Yeah its nasty. Look into fluid film for your undercarriage

    I’ve used DRX, and once you apply you wait 5 minutes and wash off with some pressure wash and the rust is washed right off. Forget the Naval Jelly and other stuff (except for POR 15 and Eastwood, those are really good). The only better thing is a 1000W laser (look it up). Try it!

    heard best way is to grind them with wire wheel till bare ish metal then apply rust converter before a paint em

    • @JeepMomma
      @JeepMomma  5 лет назад +1

      I'm thinking of doing that this spring. I wanted to do that but I didn't have the time to take off my bumper and do it right. The temps were dropping. :(

    Wire wheel cordless drill equal bare bright shiny metal. There isn't any sense painting anything on unless it is shiny metal first.

    Sometime in the next month or so I plan on doing my frame and skid plates. Between the OSPHO and the Corroseal which one do you recommend? Also how well did the Krylon Enamel hold up?

    • @JeepMomma
      @JeepMomma  2 года назад

      I prefer ospho. The krylon holds up good. Except if you scrap over rocks. 😂
